We’re proud of you, Fintiri tells NAWOJ president

ADAMAWA State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has congratulated Nigerian Television Authority’s (NTA’s) Ladi Bala on her election as president of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

In a statement by the governor’s Press Secretary, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor said NAWOJ delegates made the right choice in electing Bala. The NAWOJ president, an indigene of Adamawa State, began her career with the Adamawa State Television (ATV), Yola, before she joined the NTA.

Governor Fintiri described Bala’s victory as “path-breaking and a matter of immense pride” for Adamawa indigenes.

He congratulated her and said as the number one citizen of Adamawa State, “I cannot be prouder to congratulate the NAWOJ national president.”

He said he was sure Bala would do the job with the best interests of everyone, whether or not she had their votes.

The governor said he was optimistic that Bala would make a difference.
