‘I will end era of cosmetic projects’

The Lagos State Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Oluwasegun Mutairu Musa, has promised to take development beyond building bridges, roads, bus stops and flowers if voted as governor in 2019.

Musa spoke when he presented his five-point agenda – housing and infrastructure development, blue and green economy, capacity building and job creation, unlocking potentials of the local government areas and sports and entertainment, christened as “Pillars of Hope”, to reporters.

According to him, past administrations in Lagos, since the inception of the fourth republic, have been centered only on the execution of cosmetic projects masquerading as infrastructural development. He promised to run a people-oriented government and decentralise power to the grassroots so that the councils can be developed.

He said: “I will decongest traffic electronically. Lagos is due for E-Government, which connotes operating from your comfort zone… by the grace of God, we will engage the youths to design apps to make all these possible for the good of our people.”
