A MEMBER of Yobe State House of Assembly who is suspected to have tested positive of COVID-19 has refused to be isolated at the state’s isolation facility.
It was learnt that the lawmaker was taken to the General Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital and admitted at its amenity ward.
His sample, according to the source, was taken and it later tested positive.

But the lawmaker refused to move to the isolation facility located inside the same hospital.
“It was a running battle between us and the lawmaker to move him to the isolation centre. He refused,” the source said.
It was also learnt that the action of the lawmaker has put the lives of other patients and health workers in danger.
