Youths under the umbrella body of Northern Youths Group are routing for Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase for the position of the Speaker.
Chairman of the group, Yakubu Abubakar, urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider committed leaders, with competency, capacity and good character for the leadership position.

Abubakar said: “It’s time to pay us back with a sustainable leadership system that will benefit the Northern youths and Nigerians. Our unflinching support in the recent electioneering campaign was massive and unambiguous. We support Wase due to his quality leadership in the Green chamber.
“It would be a good choice if Wase is elected as the Speaker. He is the most qualified and dedicated amongst all the candidates aspiring for the position of Speakership.”
