‘You’ve kept faith with citizens’

THE Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animasaun, said at the weekend that the Governor Adegboyega Oyetola administration had brought development to the state in the last two years.

He hailed the achievements recorded by the administration, saying the governor had justified the purpose for which he was elected by the residents.

The Islamic cleric spoke while delivering his homily during the special Jumat service marking the second year anniversary of the governor in office.

Animasaun, the Grand Imam and Alfa in the state, expressed satisfaction about the positive effect of most of the policies and programmes of the current administration.

He said the Oyetola government had redefined democracy and placed premium on good governance, as manifested in the unparalleled achievements made so far.

The Jumat service was attended by the wife of the governor, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola; Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi; Senate spokesman Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Bashiru; House of Assembly Speaker Timothy Owoeye; Secretary to the State Government Prince Wole Oyebamiji; members of the national and state assemblies; governor’s political associates, friends and top government functionaries among others.
