Zamfara gives relief items to victims of banditry

The Zamfara State Government has distributed food and other items to 84 victims of the bandits’ attack in Lugga Maru Local Government Area.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Information, Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Malam Bashir Kabir-Ahmad in Gusau yesterday.

Kabir-Ahmad listed the items to include rice, beans, noodles as well as clothes, saying that they were distributed to the beneficiaries whose property were destroyed by the bandits.

He quoted the Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Fa’ika Ahmad as stating that the gesture was part of the state government’s continuous supports to victims of banditry and other vulnerable groups in the state.

The Commissioner, represented by the Director of Administration in the ministry, Malam Aminu Umar, urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the items.
