Governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) – the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) – have congratulated their Borno State counterpart, Prof. Babagaba Umara Zulum, on Thursday’s celebration of his 52nd birthday and for giving his people and Nigeria effective style of governance.
They said Zulum’s style of managing governance has been a source of inspiration to his fellow governors.
In a statement on Thursday by the forum’s Chairman and Kebbi State Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, PGF said: “The PGF joins all Nigerians to celebrate the birthday of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State.

“We celebrate this special occasion with Your Excellency, your entire family, and the people of Borno State.
“We wish to acknowledge and commend your exemplary leadership, vision, and commitment to a united and peaceful Nigeria. Under the leadership of our party, the APC and our President, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, we acknowledge your dedication and commitment to the fight against Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast and insecurity in every part of the country.
“Your insightful and resolute passion to mobilise Nigerians towards ending insecurity and managing processes of governance is a source of inspiration.
“We rejoice with Professor Zulum and re-affirm our commitment to continue to work with the Federal Government under President Buhari to roll out programmes that would strengthen the capacities of our governments to create jobs, fight insecurity, stimulate economic activities, reduce inequality and diminish poverty in Nigeria.”
