  • Healing Streams with Pastor Chris breaks world record, translates in 8,130 languages

Healing Streams with Pastor Chris breaks world record, translates in 8,130 languages

Another world record feat was added to the growing list of phenomenal achievements of the Loveworld Incorporated organized largest online healing crusade, as the Healing Streams Live Healing Services with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, was broadcasted in 8,130 unique languages to all the nations and territories of the world.

It was the first time such would be recorded in the history of mankind and it took place last weekend, at the just concluded three days programme of the Healing Streams Live Healing Services.

A record number of 6.9 billion people from every human race had the pleasure of listening to and experiencing the Word of God come alive in their mother tongue, birthing even more conviction and miracles worldwide. The record-breaking feat was reached on the grand finale of the programme, rounding off this edition on a truly remarkable high.

The Grand Finale: An Extravagant Display of God’s Infinite Love and Grace

The October edition of the Live Healing Services will be remembered by many as the day their lives changed permanently for good. People witnessed an incredible move of the Spirit that left even the most ardent and jaded gaping in awe at the breathtaking display of His power in the name of Jesus Christ.

In a charged atmosphere of the miraculous, Pastor Chris issued commands of healing, liberation, and myriad blessings to all who connected to the services in the name of Jesus Christ.

The results were electrifying, nothing short of the miraculous. Nothing could have prepared anyone for such a superlative move of the Spirit that propelled broken and diseased bodies out of affliction by His vitalizing power. The dead came back to life; many who were previously bedridden or weakened by sickness and disease were suddenly free from all their siege. Erupting from their wheelchairs and beds, they cast-off all manner of aids almost instantaneously as the power of God coursed through them.

Hospital wards were emptied, and myriad diseases and disabilities that had defied time and medical solutions succumbed to the unrivaled power of God — birthing uncountable testimonies brimming simultaneously from across the world. In joyous wonder, many gave and rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ as they beheld His unfathomable power.

At the commencement of the finale, Pastor Deola Philips hinted at the incredible sights and miracles that would take place later by stating, “Today, anything is possible. God’s thoughts and plans for you are for your healing and restoration. All you need to do is agree with God’s thoughts for you. As you do, faith and hope will come alive in you again, positioning for every blessing God is bringing to you today.

The airwaves continued to reverberate with the power of God heralding endless praise even as Pastor Chris began to teach on the magnitude of the love of God for man and the availability of His Power to all who believe in Him.

Backing his avowal with several scriptures from the Bible, he affirmed, “As a person, you mean more to God than you will ever realise on this earth. When you study the Bible, you will realise that if you were the only one on this earth, Jesus Christ would still have come to die to save you. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. If you would believe that, all the blessings in Christ will be yours.”

Speaking on the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, Pastor Christ advised the global congregation to remain in a state of readiness at all times for the joyful reunion with Christ.

Phenomenal Testimonies of God’s Healing Love

Testimonies are still flooding from all over the world of the wondrous deeds recorded during the 3-day event.

In Brazil, Rejane found relief from osteoarthritis thanks to her participation. She had previously undergone prosthetic implant surgery on her left leg six years prior but could not afford the same procedure for her right leg, causing her to suffer from unbearable pain. However, after responding in faith to the healing command given by Pastor Chris, she instantly experienced relief from the pain.

She has since testified that she is now pain-free and can perform activities that she was unable to do before.

Lesley Wild from Malta battled with eyesight issues for over 5 years, so much so that she couldn’t read without glasses or see clearly. As Pastor Chris ministered on Day 3, she received her healing and now she can see so much better.

In Nigeria, Babangida Isah was involved in an accident that incapacitated him three months ago, though he had surgery on both his legs, he still couldn’t walk. He got healed on Day 2 of the programme in the man of God, Pastor Chris was praying for the sick in hospitals. Today, he is walking free from pain and discomfort and has given his life to Christ.

Countless testimonies like these flowed in from Burundi, Iran, Australia, Afghanistan, Albania, China, Nigeria, American Samoa, United Kingdom, Mongolia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, and many more countries, attesting to the invincibility, infiniteness, and supremacy of the Word of God over all life forms and circumstances.

Pastor Chris Declares Great Blessings on Families and Countries

The service climaxed as Pastor Chris prayed for families and countries, declaring all limitations broken and commanding peace and prosperity to all connected. He also prayed for countries to have leaders embody God’s love and blessings.

The grand finale and the entire weekend of the Live Healing services certainly left an indelible mark of victory in the lives of everyone privileged to have been a part of it. It also marked a defining moment in the history of the church of Christ on Earth.

  • NUP hails Tinubu for reappointing Ejimike PTAD executive secretary

NUP hails Tinubu for reappointing Ejimike PTAD executive secretary

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has  hailed President Bola Tinubu for reappointing Dr. Chioma Ejikeme as the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).

In a statement  by its NationaI President, Godwin Abumisi, the union added that Ejikeme’s reappointment was one borne out of merit as she had in her first tenure as PTAD executive secretary rejuvenated the hopes of pensioners all over the country by her leadership style and professional disposition to the job.

The pensioners’ union distanced itself from rumours of a planned protest against her reappointment by some pensioners.

The NUP added that “whoever the group of pensioners protesting her reappointment are, they are being used and sponsored by arch-enemies of the entire Nigerian pensioners.”

The statement reads: “This sterling reappointment is indeed well merited and gladdens the hearts of the over two hundred and fifty thousand pensioners managed by PTAD, considering the diligent work she has so ably done for the pensioners ensuring the prompt payment of our monthly pensions and attendance to other challenging issues in the last four years.

“I wish to state that in the NUP, there exists no objection to her appointment. Any talk of protests against her reappointment exists in the hollow minds of persons obviously sponsored by arch enemies of the Nigerian pensioner. I hereby call on all members of the NUP to rally around Dr Ejikeme in order to ensure she continues the good works of restoring the dignity of the Nigerian pensioner.”

Also, the General Secretary of the Federal Parastatals and Private Sector Pensioners Association of Nigeria (FEPPPAN) Franklin Enrile, said his members feel disappointment and “very bittered” that any pensioner would think of kicking against Ejikeme’s reappointment for any reason.

He stressed that her achievements in the “administration of pension management in the country in the recent past that eased the stress and undignified treatment pensioners went through in the past was such that no right thinking person will wish contrary to her reappointment.”

He said no member of FEPPPAN was “against her reappointment, let alone protest against it in any capacity.”

“We in FEPPPAN are so shocked to hear that someone somewhere is kicking against Dr. Ejikeme’s reappointment. I wonder what whoever those pensioners stand to gain by protesting. We are rather grateful to President Tinubu for bringing her back to us. Her innovative ideas made our lives easier.

“President Tinubu, in honesty, did us a favour by reappointing her and we appreciate him. In fact, the entire leadership of FEPPPAN celebration her reappointment with a paid advertorial just express out happiness for her reappointment.

“Meanwhile, I want to believe that Mr. President examined her track records and found her worthy to continue the good work she started at PTAD. Therefore, we urge President Tinubu to ignore the noise,” he added.

    Ngannou mulls appealing Fury’s defeat

Francis Ngannou will not appeal against his defeat to Tyson Fury, insisting there is ‘no chance’ the decision will be overturned.

In what was his first fight in a boxing ring, the former UFC heavyweight champion turned in a stunning display against the reigning WBC king Fury in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, flooring him in the third round.

Ngannou took the ‘The Gypsy King’ the distance with many fans and former fighters feeling he had done enough to seal the win. However, Fury’s hand was raised as the winner, sealing a narrow split decision win on the judges’ scorecards.

The Cameroonian slammed the judges in the aftermath with replays also suggesting he was struck with an illegal elbow by Fury in the seventh round of the fight.

Despite his frustrations, Ngannou says he has no plans to appeal and will instead pursue a rematch.

“I saw the elbow, the elbow was what round, sixth or seventh round? The ref didn’t say anything about it,” Ngannou told TMZ Sports.

“In the locker room, the commissioner said no clinch and this and that. Even Tyson Fury’s team said they know I’m an MMA guy and would do this, at the beginning when we were getting close to the clinch, it was break… To be honest, I don’t think I was fairly treated.

“That is something that is very complicated. Inside the ring, I didn’t know exactly what happened in the fight. My corner and coaches said I won… Who am I gonna appeal to? I have no chance. I think that’s just another way of humiliation.”

He continued: “The rematch. The rematch is what I want next the most, because as of right now, I feel like there are a lot of options for me, but I want to choose wisely.

“I will go for the rematch first. Going into the first one, there were a lot of questions, there was a lot of uncertainty for boxing, but going into the training camp, there was a lot of unknown.

“I think this fight from the beginning of the camp to the leading up to the fight was a lot of experience that will definitely help me a lot for the second fight.”

With Ngannou now hot property in heavyweight boxing, Eddie Hearn is desperate for him and Anthony Joshua to fight in what has been dubbed ‘Rumble in The Jungle II’ with hope of bringing the fight to Africa. Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott meanwhile has claimed talks are underway for him to fight the Bronze Bomber.

  • A better Nigeria possible, says Obi

A better Nigeria possible, says Obi

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the February 25 election, Mr. Peter Obi, has said there is nothing wrong with Nigeria.

He noted that the country could be better, given its rich endowments in land, weather, natural and human resources.

The LP chieftain stressed that Nigeria has some of the best people in the world and could become a leading nation, if it harnessed its resources carefully, judiciously, and efficiently.

Obi spoke yesterday as the special guest of honour at the Edo Policy Roundtable, which was organised in association with Mudiame University, Irrua, and held at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre in Benin, the Edo State capital.

The event, a colloquium and hall of fame in honour of LP National Chairman Julius Abure, with the theme: The Contemporary Nigerian Politics: The Way Forward for Edo State, was chaired by Abia State Governor Alex Otti.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, expressed optimism that Nigeria would make more visible progress, but sought support for its leaders.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, expressed optimism that Obi would become Nigeria’s president but was unsure of the time this would happen.

Obi, who restated his commitment to the Nigerian project, said: “I am not a saint and I am not a criminal. I have never done anything that is wrong. I have served the state (Anambra) and I have served in the private sector. Today, we are going through difficulties. If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

“Planning is a critical component. The reason countries are failing today is due to lack of plans/implementation. When politicians are campaigning for elective positions, everything is sweet and good, but when you have the opportunity to serve the people, then you will bring out your true self and start doing the opposite.

“We can have a better Nigeria. When we have a better Edo State, we will have a better Nigeria. Working together, we can employ our people. There is nothing wrong with Nigeria.

Read Also: Imo/Bayelsa/Kogi polls: Tinubu appeals for free, fair process

“Nigeria has one of the best, in terms of land, weather, God-given resources, and it has some of the best people in the world. But the only thing God has not given Nigeria is leadership. If we have good leaders in this country, we will do better.

“A country as Nigeria has no reason to be poor, if not because of leadership. We have more resourceful young people in Nigeria. We have leadership in Nigeria that is engulfed in wasteful consumption but no production. When you move from consumption to production, you will create jobs for the people.”

The LP chieftain proposed a roundtable for Nigeria where the citizens could speak their minds and make contributions for national cohesion.

He said: “If we get it right, we will live a better life, and all of us are involved. We must stop people from stealing public money. We must stop people from wasting public money. It is not your private money. All of us are involved. We must not celebrate them.”

“How much money do you need to eat, as a human being? How long will you live as a human being? Everybody here, no matter how big or small you are, in 100 years from today, we will all be covered with earthworms. So, what are you acquiring things for?

“Please, join me in building a better Nigeria. We want good news about Nigeria.”

The chief host, Prof. S. E. Eromosele, who is the Chancellor/Founder of Mudiame University, Irrua, described the event as timely.

He noted that the inadequacy of human capacity development was a key reason Nigeria’s economy was in a sorry state.

  • Rivers crisis:  Elders caution Fubara, absolve Wike of blame

Rivers crisis:  Elders caution Fubara, absolve Wike of blame

    • Allegations against Wike false, say state elders

Rivers State leaders and elders under the aegis of Rivers Elders Forum (REF) yesterday said the allegation that Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike was behind the impeachmentmove against Governor Siminalayi Fubara was false.

The elders said the governor may have misinterpreted a mere internal crisis in the  House of Assembly between the sacked Majority Leader, Edinson Ehie, and his other lawmakers.

The elders, in a statement by their Chairman, Chief Ferdinand Alabrabra, observed that the governor, having misread the internal brawl as an existential threat, gave the situation an ethnic coloration.

Elders who endorsed the statement were Sam Sam Jaja, former Deputy National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP), Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Ruler,  Sergeant Awuse; Chief Emmanuel Anyanwu, Minority Leader, House of Representatives, Okey Chinda and Senator Olaka Nwogu.

On what led to the crisis, the elders said: “We are aware that there was a pre-existing problem between Ehie, the then majority leader, and his colleagues that culminated in his removal.

“That to forestall his impeding removal, the hallowed chamber of the Assembly was burnt and that Fubara believed that Ehie’s removal was a precursor to his impeachment, which is not true.

“The misrepresentation of the internal wrangling among the members prompted the governor’s immediate intervention, making a characterised legislative brawl as an existential threat. This caused governor and his newly assembled supporters to give the action of the Assembly members an ethnic coloration and prompted youths of Ijaw extraction to rally behind the governor in the name of Ijaw nationalism.

“The hasty reaction of the governor has now pitched His Excellency, Sim Fubara, and state Assembly members in an all out battle that had led to the activation for the process of impeachment of the governor.

“The governor neither sought the help, clarification, intervention of Wike and the elders on the development, nor did he discourage damaging lies to be peddled against Wike.

“Nyesom Wike has been viciously attacked by sections of the media and the public as the evil mastermind of the scheme and series of events he was neither involved in nor privy to”.

The elders lamented that the action of Fubara led to the peddling of false allegations that Wike demanded money from the governor,  adding that the governor showed ingratitude and bad faith by not immediately debunking the accusations.

Describing the allegations against Wike as false, wicked, unfair and satanic, the elders said they were only designed to discredit the minister before the gullible public.

They added: “The false stories were peddled that Wike demanded money from the governor in order to discredit him before a gullible public, which is very sad. We confirm that the allegations are wicked, unfair, satanic

“The governor being aware of the lies and not debunking them showed bad faith and ingratitude. Governor Fubara is aware that Nyesom Wike invested heavily in the infrastructural development of Rivers State.

“Wike was selfless and applied the funds of the state judiciously. He did not steal or misappropriate Rivers State funds. To insinuate that today or create the impression that he was asking for money is most unfortunate and regrettable”.

The elders said in their efforts to resolve the crisis,  they visited Wike and assured him of their steadfast, complete and undiluted loyalty.

They stressed: “Know that Wike has consistently fought for and defended the interest of Rivers State at all times. At our visit to Wike, elders assured him of our steadfast, complete and undiluted loyalty. We apologise for the embarrassment caused him by Fubara and all others, who played vicious roles in the unfortunate drama”.

The elder rejected the insinuations of ethnicity by some Ijaw leaders from other states, saying they had forgotten how Wike insisted on producing a riverine governor of the Ijaw extraction.

They said: “We vehemently condemned the insinuations of some Ijaw leaders from some other states who so soon have forgotten that it was Wike who insisted on producing a Rivers governor of Ijaw extraction and paid a heavy political price.

“Wike has since facilitated the appointments of more Ijaw sons since he came to Abuja, including Boma Iyaye, Executive Director Finance, NDDC, and Rufus Godwin as member of the Federal Civil Service Commission.

“Wike has done more for Ijaw sons and daughters of ethnic nationality than most of these leaders. In fact, Wike’s efforts to make Sim Fubara governor was rejected and opposed largely by Ijaws then than any other tribe or ethnic group”.

The elders affirmed that Ehie was properly removed as the Leader of the House, noting that Amaewhule remained the authentic Speaker of the House of Assembly.

They insisted that Fubara must take urgent steps to correct the false narratives against Wike to provide a window for true reconciliation.

They warned persons advising Fubara to engage Wike in a needless battle to desist and allow the governor concentrate on consolidating the achievements of Wike.

They said: “On the Assembly, we confirmed that Amaewhule is the authentic Speaker and Ehie and company validly suspended. We wish to express our gratitude to Wike for the audience and amiable disposition to continue work selflessly for our state and accepting the mediation of the elders.

“We urge Fubara to please, take urgent steps to correct some of the false narratives against Wike thus providing a window for mediatory talks and a way forward. We advise those encouraging the governor to engage in a fruitless and needless battle with Wike to desist fortwith and allow the governor concentrate on consolidating on the extraordinary achievement with Wike while he was the governor.

“Our pact with Rivers people is unbroken. They gave us the mandate in the last election following the achievements of Wike and trust that the candidate from our political family will continue this work. We cautioned those new friends of Fubara to retract their steps before they throw the state into deeper crisis. We the elders stand with Wike to ensure we work with him and all involved to bring peace to Rivers”.

They passed a vote of confidence in Wike as the indisputable leader of their political family in Rivers and credited him for producing all elected members of the family.

They said: “Nyesom Wike is the undisputable leader of the political family that produced Governor Sim Fubara, the three senators in the National Assembly, the 11 members of the House of Representatives and all 32 members of the House of Assembly,.all 23 chairmen and the entire councilors of the 23 local government areas.

“Fubara and all the above elected office holders in Rivers belong to the same political family and are abound by our philosophy to transform, build, develop and create the Rivers State of our dreams in consonance with our new Rivers vision devoid of ethnicity, tribe, creed and gender”

  • Atiku’s lullaby

    Atiku’s lullaby

Lullabies are soft songs to lull into sleep a screeching baby.  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar screeches with undignified pain after the Supreme Court quashed his appeal, 7:0.

But he invents a lullaby, of self-heroism and “democratic proposals”, to blunt a decidedly ugly swan song.  He can tell all that to the marines!

Indeed, only the political Gen. Z, too brainwashed to know their country’s history, will regard as “democratic”, Sani Abacha’s National Constitutional Conference (NCC: 1996), “with full constituent powers”; and Atiku’s latter-day glamourization of the six-year rotatory presidency, among the six geo-political zones, which NCC proposed.

The one was devised to bury the golden June 12, 1993 mandate of Chief MKO Abiola.  The other was invented to impose Gen. Abacha’s own tragic transmutation to horrid civilian president, with the sweet dummy that it would only last a “single” term.

Both blew up in Abacha’s face — and just as well!

Neither is anything but democratic.  Indeed, any claim by Atiku to justify his grave obsession to be president is a tragic claw at the straws — straws that starkly expose his hollow claims as a democrat.

To refresh: the true leaders of the South West boycotted Abacha’s NCC.  Heroes of that age included the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, who turned his back on the NCC — which was a clever ploy to bury MKO Abiola’s mandate and “move on”.  So did other genuine democrats nationwide, who saw through Abacha’s trick.

But political careerists, among whom Atiku proudly counted, trooped to NCC to seek rank, if fresh opportunism, after conspiring against June 12, the true foundation of the 4th Republic, which dawned in 1999.

Major-Gen. Shehu Musa Yar’Adua — whose faction of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) traded off Abiola’s mandate for Ernest Shonekan’s Interim National Government (ING) — headed this phalanx, with Atiku, his mentee, in tow.  But Abacha outsmarted them all.

So, both Abacha’s NCC and its proposed six-year, single-term rotational presidency, were failed coups against Abiola and his sacred mandate.  So, it’s rich for Atiku to flash a collapsed coup, as democratic “solution”, after his crash at the Supreme Court.

Karma is so, so sweet: those who fought for June 12 are fairly and firmly in power today!  It is what it is!  Let Atiku and co live with it!

But again, the Wazirin Adamawa can sing his lullaby of self-praise to the marines.  For all his anti-democracy plots, he got more than his due to become Nigeria’s No. 2 — just as Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, who became president by foxy Army Arrangement.

Karma laughs last though, as both are still alive to endure the sorry collapse of their machinations.  May God grant them more years yet to endure their political purgatory!
