2baba, during a breakfast chat organised by ‘The 2baba Foundation” on Monday in Lagos, said no support was small or much, noting that displaced persons needed more love and care.

“From my interaction with the displaced persons, I could see the pain in their eyes. You can see that they are not settled and this really got to me.

“You can’t do enough for them but we should not be discouraged. We should continue to give these displaced persons our support, as much as we can.

“There are so many of them and they shouldn’t be neglected so that they don’t become like those who put them in the situation or even become a menace to the society.

“This is why I encourage people from time to time to help the needy, especially the displaced persons as nothing is too small to give.

“I have always been of the school of thought that we should give whenever we can. It shouldn’t be to show off but to encourage other people to do same,” he said. (NAN)

Women should learn to shoot shots at men – Actress Bayray MacNwizu

Popular actress Eberechukwu Nwizu aka Bayray McNwizu has hinted at women being expressive about their feelings for men they fancy.

Also known as Bhaira Mcwizu, the film star shared it was alright for women to go after men they liked but admitted the process wasn’t without its disadvantages.

She explained in an interview with Saturday Beats that while women could shoot their shots at men for romantic relationships, they should be sensitive enough to know when to draw the lineor simply abort the mission so as not to seem desperate.

She said: “There are pros and cons when it comes to women ‘shooting their shots.’ If one does not want to waste one’s time, just find out what is working”, she stated.

“It is always about knowing where to apply the gauge, knowing when to proceed, how fast to move, and when to stop. These things are so important. If one likes somebody as a woman, know how to proceed and know how fast one can take action.

“Also, know when to stop because one cannot afford to look desperate. A woman needs to have a healthy self-concept about herself and know that she is a queen.

“If a woman wants to be in a man’s life, that woman has to bring a lot of value to the table. If the man cannot see that, then the woman should help him.

“If the man is interested, he will chase the woman. If he is not, then both the man and the woman can settle for friendship. It’s even more valuable to have friendships that can blossom into other things as opposed to immediate romantic relationships.”

PSG close to naming ex-Barca coach Enrique as manger

French champions Paris St-Germain are close to appointing Luis Enrique as their new manager.

PSG have not yet confirmed the exit of boss Christophe Galtier, but it is widely assumed his spell at the club will come to an end this summer.

Galtier, 56, was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor in July 2022 but fell short of expectations.

Luis Enrique has been linked with numerous jobs since leaving Spain after the World Cup in Qatar.

PSG turned to the 53-year-old after talks with former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann ended without agreement.

Luis Enrique made his name as a player with Barcelona before becoming head coach at the Nou Camp between 2014 and 2017.

PSG are intent on resetting the club and trying to build a team rather than continuing the policy of signing a collection of expensive high-profile players, which has so far failed to deliver the Champions League success demanded by the club’s Qatari owners.

Galtier made a strong start to life in the French capital, avoiding defeat in 22 games across all competitions, and PSG sat five points clear at the top of Ligue 1 when the season paused for the World Cup.

However, they lost nine times after club football resumed and limped over the line to finish just a point clear of Lens in the league, while exiting the Champions League in the last 16 to Bayern.

Bournemouth have said they will announce O’Neil’s successor “imminently”.

O’Neill took the helm at Vitality Stadium after Parker was sacked following a 9-0 hammering by Liverpool – the joint biggest defeat in Premier League history.
