    Reactions as Saskay shares stunning new pictures

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tsakute Jonah, better known as Saskay, has wowed fans and followers with her stunning new photos.

    The 23-year-old reality TV star recently shared a series of sultry photos on her Instagram page, generating a lot of buzz online.

    Saskay was shown in the pictures striking a seductive pose on a chair elegantly covered in a piece of cloth.

    She shared the  hot photos with the caption: “All your angles drive me crazy like danfo driver”

    The photos stirred sweet reactions from her colleagues, fans and Instagram followers.

    I should be paid for being a celebrity – Speed Darlington

    For being a celebrity, controversial US-based rapper, Darlington Okoye aka Speed Darlington has said he has to be paid.

    Speed, speaking with Nedu and the others on the ‘Honest Bunch Podcast’, presented ‘mind-joggling’ questions to affirm his stance.

    “I think I should be paid for being a celebrity,” self-acclaimed ‘Irregular speedometer,” stated.

    But Nedu and the others disagreed with him while insisting he chose to be a celebrity and no one had business paying him for that, especially not his fans.

    Expressing his disapproval for the hosts remarks as he posed some questions to them.

    He asked: Eh hen?! Okay, make I land. So why dem dey come dey hug me. What generated that love? Why dem no love mad man for road?”

    One of the hosts suggested when a celebrity acts snubbish toward fans, in a short time, he’ll stop being called for events but Speed vehemently disagreed with their point.

    He argued: “If you really want meatpie, you’ll eat meatpie whether it’s hot or cold. If you don’t eat it, you’re not hungry yet.”

    I lost endorsement deal over ‘hating women’ narrative – Nedu

    On-Air personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel aka Nedu has opened up on losing an endorsement deal over a false narrative about hating women.

    Nedu, during his podcast session while discussing with singer, Speed Darlington and his co-hosts, explained an unnamed beverage company decided to call off the endorsement deal with him simply because critics were propagating an erroneous claim that he disliked women.

    According to him, the beverage company assumed such perception wouldn’t go well with their female audience so the deal was aborted just at the point of signing it.

    “I want to say something personal. I lost an endorsement….I almost signed am endorsement three weeks ago and I lost it. Now why did I lose it? I didn’t feel bad, I’m not feeling bad.

    I did feel bad for a second that I lost it.

    “Why did it go? Because a lot of people were flying with the narrative that, ‘Ha! Nedu hates women’. And it’s a beverage brand. 

    “Now the brand come talk say, ‘Ha! If this is what they are saying, which means it’s not going to go well with our female audience,” the comedian said. 

    He recounted his response to the beverage brand, sharing experiences he’s had with a couple of ladies while querying the skewed mentality of some individuals.

    He concluded most of the people spreading the wrong narrative about his disliking women were those who watch titbits of their podcast sessions. 

    He added those who watch the entire videos don’t hold such view about his personality.

    Guinness World Records holder for longest cooking Hilda Baci has claimed she spent over N80m for her cookathon. 

    She was reacting to the allegation by a brand that she breached a N3m deal for a meet-and-greet event in Abuja.

    Baci denied she had such agreement in place, stating she spent over N80m for her cookathon event. 

    She said: “I spent over N80m of my hard earned money for my cookathon so people could eat and drink for free.”

    Media personality Nedu Wazobia has narrated how he recently lost an endorsement deal due to a false narrative that people have been spreading about him.

    The brand, which he said was a beverage company, explained he wouldn’t be given the deal because his image of being a misogynist won’t appeal to their female audience.

    Brand calls out Hilda Baci for allegedly breaching N3m deal

    A brand has publicly accused Nigerian chef Hilda Baci of breaching a contract worth N3 million.

    A few days ago, Hilda trended on social media when a flier promoted a N25,000 meet-and-greet event with the chef.

    However, Hilda promptly took to Twitter to deny any involvement with the event.

     She tweeted:“ Hi everyone, this is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such. Thanks.”

    But the brand claimed they gave Hilda N3m advance payment for participation in the event only for her to abruptly withdraw.

    According to a statement on its official Instagram page, the brand reads:“ We regret to inform you that the highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place on 24th June 2023, has been canceled. We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, you, our esteemed customers.

    “Arrangements for this event were already concluded, as both parties agreed to put out publications for the event, after an advanced payment was made to Miss Hilda Bassey. However, Hilda Bassey, suddenly denied publicly having any prior knowledge of the event.

    “Her conduct has negatively affected our reputation as a brand. Consequently, we are taking all necessary legal steps, towards ensuring that justice is seen to have been done in this matter. We understand that many of you have been looking forward to this event, and we share your disappointment.

    “Our team has been working tirelessly to explore all possible alternatives to ensure the event could proceed as planned, but unfortunately, we have been left with no other viable options but to take the steps as enumerated herein.

    “We would like to express our gratitude for your continued patronage and understanding. We deeply value our relationship with every one of you, please accept our sincere apologies once again, and we hope to have the opportunity to entertain you with another remarkable event this summer. Thank you for your understanding.”

    Highlife singer, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo aka Kcee, has revealed his gospel album has fetched him the most earning. 

    His cultural gospel project with Okwesili Eze Group, titled ‘Cultural Praise’ garnered massive criticisms before its official release 

    KCee however said even when many thought it would end his career and retire him to the village, the project turned out to be his most streamed work and earning. 

    He said: “When I did the gospel a lot of people were like, “It’s over, he is actually going close to his village. Now he’s taking the music to the village. I think he is moving from his town to a village”, said the Limpopo maestro.

    “That was horrible. When I heard that I was like, “Okay, let’s see how that works.” And it didn’t happen. I made more money from it; more than any ever before in my whole career’.”

    The host queried: ‘But did you believe you were going to make that much money?

    “I swear, I knew it. I was too sure,” the Ajegunle-born singer replied. 

    “Like, I fought with a lot of people before I released it. They said, ‘This song is ten minutes and this generation, they don’t have patience. The music should be two minutes plus’.

    “I was like, don’t worry; just release this song. And that project has been like my highest stream project ever.”

    According to him: “it is impossible for me to stay with one woman because there is too much temptation that comes with being with one wife.

    Thugs beat protocol officers at Niger Assembly’s inauguration

    Thugs on Tuesday beat up some protocol officials of Niger Assembly during the inauguration of the new lawmakers.

    The protocol officials were in the Assembly as early as 6 am to arrange the seats for dignitaries and visitors.

    However, when the thugs arrived, they took over the seats allocated for the media, families as well as wives of the new legislators and invited guests.

    Attempts by the protocol members to preserve the seats for the assignes earned them beatings by the thugs who tore their clothes and wounded them. 

    One of the Protocol staff Victor had wounds in his eyes, hands and face with his clothes torn. 

    There was little or no crowd control as the security and protocol officials were overwhelmed by the surging crowd.

    As at the time of filing this story, the Inauguration was yet to commence.

    Singer Davido has listed the five biggest Afrobeats artistes.

    Discussing the future of Afrobeats during a recent interview with Omega, Davido was asked to mention five ‘artistes that the world need to know about that they don’t know about right now’.

    He listed those he considered the Afrobeats future but halted after naming Victony.

    O.B.O resumed listing but this time, omitted Victony and emphasized Rema and Asake belong at the top of the list.

    He said: “I don’t want to say it because I think like a lot of people know. But I also want to say like the say five ….the next five because I don’t want to leave people out.

    “I’ll say, Rema. He gat the ‘Calm Down’ record. Calm down….calm down. I’d say Rema. I’d say Buju (BNXN). I’d say Ayra Starr. I’d say Victony.”

    At this point, Davido displayed a wide smile. Then goes, “Wait! Wait! Wait! I no wan jonse o! Na, ha!!! 

    “Okay…okay…he continued. “Let’s do it like this. It’s Rema, Buju (BNXN), Asake (one of the host agreed Mr Money had to be one of the top five while Davido exclaimed, ‘he’s gone). Him and Rema, I’d say they’re at the top.

    He added: Who else? Ayra Starr, Ruger.”

    Commenting on the future of Africa’s most popular music genre as well as how times and technology are helping to change the narrative, the DMW boss noted: “The future of Afrobeats is crazy because now, it’s different. 

    “Before, we needed a whole studio to record. But now, you can record on your phone. And these boys are so good.”
