    I was s3xually abused, says Ex-BBN’s Bambam

Reality TV star Bamike Olawunmi Adenibuyan aka Bambam has claimed she was a victim of s3xual molestation as a child and young adult.

The actress, in a video clip on her Instagram page, narrated the traumatic experiences which affected her in no small measure.

But she said she’s been receiving help from therapy with constant support from her colleague and hubby, Teddy A which has managed to tone down the negative effects of the scarring created by the ugly ordeals.

Recounting her ‘troublesome’ childhood experiences, she begun: “Recently, there’s been terrible news going on about child abuse, child trafficking, pedophilia. I have two beautiful daughters and I think we need to back off from that mentality of not trying to do anything about it….

“I remember when I was just three. My parents were working parents. So I grew up with maids and nannies and I had no…..like I’ll just come back from school and it’ll just be me and the nanny.

“And we had one when I was between the ages of two and three. I believe that woman was just possessed and sick in the head. I don’t think that woman was more than 18 and she just derived pleasure in bullying me.

“She would not feed me, whenever she was horny, she would force me to suck her breast. She would use my fist to masturbate. She would tie my mouth and punish me. Like she just enjoyed torturing me.

“Clearly, she was someone who was abused when she was younger. And if you’ve noticed a pattern, hurt people, hurt other people. And because I was still learning to talk, she would tell me that, ‘if I told my parents, shey it’s her that I’ll be left with. My parents would go to work. That she’ll starve me.”

Bambam, recollecting series of abuses she experienced and how they impacted her, continued “As I got older, different series of abuse happened in my young age. And I know the impact it’s had on my life. Even now that I’m married, there are times Teddy A and I need to really sit down and talk about certain things because certain things are like trigger for me sexually.

“And if not that I’ve grown older and I’m matured, and I’ve seen a therapist. And I’ve learnt to deal with it. And I’m married to a man who understands, and we have learnt to go on the journey together. How much more those who don’t know any better? How much more those who don’t have the opportunity to be married to men who don’t understand? How much more those who have refused to marry at all?

“How much more those who think because they were molested by women, they are lesbians? Or those who were molested by men think they are homosexuals? It’s just a programming that has made them believe since I had my first experience this way maybe that’s who I am.”

Reiterating meaner punishment for child abusers traffickers, the mother of two captioning her post added: “I Was Abused by a Nanny as a child between the ages of 2-8. “Part 1” (part 2 is on next post)

    letchildrenbechildren

“She used my fist to masturbate and forced me to suck her breast while at it, it has affected me in different ways. I have also been raped a few times as a young girl, I wasn’t ready to have sex with some of the guys I dated in the past, so they forced themselves on me.

“During sex some things trigger trauma I didn’t know wasn’t dealt with, I have gotten help, I still get help.

“Look sex MUST be consensual even in marriage! Sex must be consensual at all times! Don’t manipulate a mind into it! Not to talk of children?!!!

“I stand against PEDOPHILIA CHILD TRAFFICKING, CHILD MOLESTATION AND ABUSE/ SEX INDOCTRINATION OF ANY-FORM!

“Hurt and mentally sick people hurt other people! That nanny was clearly abused or possessed and felt it was okay to do all she did to me! We have sick people making laws to permit their sick orientations! Make it stop!!!”

Stop disturbing us over Shanty town nudity – Veeiye

Reality TV star Veeiye has taken things up with critics of the recently released blockbuster ‘Shanty town‘.

The featured film-turned-limited series which premiered exclusively on Netflix on January, 20 has garnered massive reviews from critics and lovers with the nudity scene of particular interest to many.

The scene captures the bare boobs and butt of Nancy Isime who strips her clothes with parts roughly fondled by veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo.

While many praised the cast and crew for coming up with such daring scene as it’s never been done in any Nollywood movie, others criticised them for promoting nudity which they noted was alien to the African culture.

But the 31-year-old Isime at the weekend clarified it wasn’t her body that was exposed in the movie.

In her post, Nancy said a body double was used for the scene.

A body double, in movies, refers to a person on set who is used to pose as another actor. It is usually adopted for scenes involving nudity where the main actor is unwilling to strip.

The role is often played by models with their faces usually concealed.

Addressing the nudity scene critics, Veeiye told them to quit disturbing the peace of others who find the movie not just interesting but educative.

The former BBNaija ‘Lock Down’ housemate insisted though the movie may not project our culture but it addresses other societal ills.

“Nudity is not part of our culture” Shanty Town is about crime, prostitution, corruption, etc.

“If it’s culture you’re looking for, go and watch AM Epic and stop disturbing us,” she said.

Written by Xavier Ighorodje and Donald Tombia, ‘Shanty Town’ follows a group of courtesans attempting to escape the grasp of a notorious kingpin.

Political corruption and blood ties make their escape an almost impossible goal.

Produced by Chinenye Nworah produced, it features a number of top Nollywood acts including, Chidi Mokeme as the lead, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Sola Sobowale, Shaffy Bello, Ini Edo, Uche Jombo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Toyin Abraham, Zubby Michael, Nancy Isime and others
