$10k bet: Omokri applauds Adeyanju, scorns Obi’s supporters

Hours after Deji Adeyanju challenged the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s supporters to a bet, Reno Omokri has applauded his guts while scorning the LP flag bearer’s supporters.

On Monday, the Convener of Concerned Nigeria placed a bet of $10k with Obi’s supporters.

Adeyanju called on Obi’s supporters in Nigeria and the diaspora to make a bet with him that their candidate will emerge “distant 3rd” in the 2023 elections.

In his post on Monday with evidence of payment, he said: “$10k credited to Egbon Dele Momodu’s account…”

Adeyanju challenged one of the numerous supporters of Obi to honour his words by placing his own bet too.

He said: “Now waiting for Ben the Obidient to do his part.”

But more than 24hours after Adeyanju placed a bet daring the supporters of the former Anambra State governor on his “predicted” position in the 2023 general election, none has yet taken him on.

Consequently, Omokri via a tweet hailed Adeyanju for fulfilling his bet by depositing the sum with Dele Momodu.

On the other hand, he expressed surprise that none of Obi’s supporters was willing to on the challenge posed to them by Adeyanju.

“I applaud @adeyanjudeji’s guts. He deposited $10,000 with @DeleMomodu in fulfilment of his bet that Peter Obi will come a distant 3rd in the election. More surprising is that no Obi supporter is willing to take him on and bet $10,000 that Obi will win. Interesting!
    #TableShaker,” he tweeted.

In another tweet, the former presidential aide while mocking the ‘Obidients’ noted the only thing they do without hassles is insulting and threatening lives.

“Does it mean that after 72 hours, no Obidient is bold enough to accept @adeyanjudeji’d $10000 bet that Obi will come a distant 3rd in 2023? The man has deposited cold hard cash with @DeleMomodu. If it is insult and threats to life, it wont take you guys one second! #TableShaker,” he added.
