Kaduna Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has assured that All Progressives Congress (APC) colleagues in the north will ensure the victory of the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on February 25.

The plots, according to him, will fail woefully.

According to El-Rufai: “Nigerians should know that these policies are not policies of our party but some economists who are bent on making sure that we lose the election. Policies purposely designed to crash the political process.

“Sabotage is not strange to politics. Recall, they attempted it during our primary election, it ended up with a landslide victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu…”

“Let me assure 100%, the entire Northern Governors of the APC are completely, wholeheartedly supporting the Next President Bola Tinubu…”

‘’When we go, nothing is done and those who refuse to carry out the instructions are not punished.’’

On the cash swap policy, he said it was a misinformed policy influenced by political saboteurs.

‘’I told Emiefele that there is a Local Government in Kaduna state. One local government bigger than Anambra state that has only 1 bank.

‘’Everyone in the State keeps cash. They have millions of Naira at home.. How do you expect them to move with money for several hours to deposit in a bank in a short period of time?

Nigerians lament scarcity of new, old naira notes.

Nigerians have lamented the non-availability of old and new naira notes in ATMs and banks following the announcement of February 10 by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the return of all old notes.

Those who spoke with The Nation expressed disgust over the non-availability of cash in banking halls and ATMs, saying the situation was killing economic activities.

I did so but it proved abortive. The bank informed me that neither was available. I finally got the old notes and on my transit from Ajah to Oshodi, transporters rejected them, I handed the new ones to them and they said it was fake. What do you want me to do, this country? I was even thrown out because they said I didn’t have money and I had money in my pocket.”

A business owner, Obinna Mmadu, said the CBN should consider the plights of Nigerians. He said: “It is not about the extension, can they meet up with our own demand? So many people are rejecting old money. When you talk to the local banks, they blame the CBN, when you go to CBN, they blame the local banks. We don’t know who is responsible.

We don’t even know what is happening because even the ATMs are not dispensing the new notes”.

She said: ”We were told that we can’t withdraw more than 20,000N from the ATM, I went to the bank to withdraw money and it’s still the same old note I was given from the bank, I went to the ATM to withdraw money and I met people fighting each other because there was no money in the ATM The banks also didn’t put money in the ATM and they all locked their gates.

”We are unable to get our money. We are just stranded; the banks in Ladipo didn’t give us money. they should please extend the date they said the old money will expire or they should put as much money out here.”
