Shettima reaffirms FG’s resolve to empower Military to subdue security challenges

Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the federal government’s resolve to strengthen and empower the Nigerian Armed Forces to overcome the security challenges confronting the country.

Shettima gave the assurance on Friday at a special Juma’at prayer held at the National Mosque to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day.

In a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima paid glowing tribute to fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity, as well as to serving personnel safeguarding the lives and property of citizens across the country.

January 15 is observed annually by the Federal Government to honour the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The armed forces recently redesignated the observance as “Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day,” replacing the former “Armed Forces Remembrance Day,” to reflect its dual purpose of honouring serving officers and remembering fallen heroes.

Addressing worshippers during the special prayers, the Vice President acknowledged the sacrifices of the military and other security agencies and expressed optimism that, under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria would witness enduring peace and prosperity.

“Our prayer is for Allah to forgive the rest of our deceased officers and men, and may God grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses,” Shettima said.

He further prayed for divine protection and empowerment for the armed forces to surmount the nation’s security challenges, expressing confidence that peace would prevail in due course.

“We pray to the Almighty Allah to continue to protect and empower our armed forces to subdue all the crises that are bedevilling our nation. And, in sha Allah, in the fullness of time, we shall have enduring peace and prosperity in Nigeria,” the Vice President added.

The Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day is marked nationwide with prayers and ceremonies to honour serving personnel and remember officers and men who lost their lives in the line of duty.

  • FG earmarks N2.19trn service-wide vote for wages, security, welfare

FG earmarks N2.19trn service-wide vote for wages, security, welfare

The federal government has proposed a total of N2.19 trillion for Service-Wide Votes in the 2026 Appropriation Bill.

This positions the fund as a central mechanism for meeting critical national obligations that cut across ministries, departments, and agencies, including salary arrears, security operations, social protection programmes, health interventions, and international commitments.

Details of the proposed budget show that the Service-Wide Vote, administered under the Ministry of Finance, is designed to address obligations that cannot be efficiently domiciled within individual MDAs, particularly legacy liabilities, statutory payments, and national programmes with economy-wide impact.

A substantial portion of the allocation is directed at resolving outstanding wage-related liabilities. The Federal Government set aside N845.28 billion for arrears arising from minimum wage-related adjustments, reflecting the cost of aligning public sector salaries with the revised wage structure.

In addition, N150 billion has been provided for promotion-related salary arrears, aimed at clearing backlogs owed to federal civil servants across MDAs.

A senior finance ministry official conversant with the budget preparation told The Nation that the provisions were intended to stabilise the workforce and prevent the accumulation of unpaid entitlements.

“Clearing salary and minimum wage arrears is essential to restoring confidence in public service compensation and maintaining morale across the system,” the official said.

The budget also makes provision for insurance-related obligations, including N17.31 billion for group life assurance for personnel across all MDAs, including the Department of State Services and members of the National Youth Service Corps, covering administration and monitoring costs.

An additional N12.42 billion has been allocated for the insurance of sensitive Federal Government assets nationwide.

In addressing welfare obligations to families of deceased public servants, the government earmarked N4.27 billion for outstanding death benefits owed to civil servants and N5 billion for similar obligations to personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

Security-related spending features prominently in the Service-Wide Vote. The government proposed N100 billion for military operations, including Operation Lafiya Dole and other engagements of the Armed Forces, as part of efforts to sustain counter-insurgency and internal security operations.

The Police Operations Fund received a N50 billion allocation, while the Department of State Services is set to receive N30 billion for special operations. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has a N15 billion special operations fund under the proposal.

According to the finance ministry source, “These allocations reflect the reality that security operations require flexible and centrally managed funding, especially for rapid response and intelligence-driven activities.”

The Service-Wide Vote also captures N115 billion for the Presidential Amnesty Programme to support the reintegration of transformed ex-militants, reinforcing the government’s commitment to stability in the Niger Delta.

In the same vein, N100 billion was proposed for the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy, including the upscaling of the National Social Investment Programme.

Social protection and human capital development account for a large share of the proposed spending. The National Social Investment Programme Agency is allocated N200 billion for recurrent expenditure, while the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme is proposed to receive N100 billion to sustain school meals for children across participating states.

Health-related interventions also feature strongly in the Service-Wide Vote. The government set aside N250.96 billion for GAVI-supported immunisation programmes, reflecting Nigeria’s commitment to vaccine financing and routine immunisation.

An additional N12.55 billion is allocated for malaria vaccination of infants, while N1.54 billion is provided for the Presidential Women’s Health Transformation Initiative under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health.

The official said the allocations were aimed at protecting gains in immunisation coverage and reducing preventable childhood diseases. “These investments are critical to safeguarding maternal and child health outcomes, especially in vulnerable communities,” the official said.

The proposed budget includes N15 billion for the settlement of electricity bill debts owed by MDAs, an effort to address longstanding liabilities to power distribution companies. There is also a N1 billion provision for IPPIS capturing and monitoring to strengthen payroll integrity, alongside N12 billion set aside as a margin for increases in costs and recurrent adjustment pressures during the fiscal year.

Capacity building and systems strengthening are addressed through a N2 billion allocation for service-wide training of budget and planning officers on the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System budget preparation system, as well as nationwide monitoring and evaluation of projects.

Other notable provisions include N36 billion for recurrent contingencies, N5 billion for international sporting competitions, N2 billion for Treasury Single Account operations, and N52.95 billion for Nigeria’s contributions to international organisations. The budget also provides N5 billion for the National Health Insurance Scheme coverage for corps members and N2.73 billion for the Office of the Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination.

To support institutional expansion, the government proposed N41.12 billion as take-off grants for 15 new MDAs, most of them in the health and education sectors, while N5.78 billion was allocated to the Presidential Revenue Monitoring and Reconciliation Committee to strengthen oversight of government revenues.

Overall, the Service-Wide Vote of N2.19 trillion forms part of the total Consolidated Revenue Fund charges estimated at N3.57 trillion in the 2026 budget proposal. Officials said the structure of the Service-Wide Vote allows the government to meet unavoidable national obligations while maintaining fiscal coordination and oversight.

“As government responsibilities grow more complex, centrally managed votes like this ensure that critical commitments are met without disrupting the operations of individual MDAs,” the Ministry of Finance official said.

The proposed allocations are expected to draw scrutiny during legislative consideration of the 2026 Appropriation Bill, particularly given the size of wage-related arrears, security spending, and social sector commitments embedded within the Service-Wide Vote.

  • UPDATED: Court bars resident doctors from embarking on strike planned for January 12

UPDATED: Court bars resident doctors from embarking on strike planned for January 12

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) in Abuja has issued an order restraining the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) and its members from embarking on the strike they planned to commence on January 12.

Justice Emmanuel Subilim issued the order on Friday while ruling on a motion ex-parte filed by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) in a suit marked: NICN/ABJ/06/2026.

Justice Subilim gave the ruling after listening to the Director of Civil Litigation (Federal Ministry of Justice), Mrs. Maimuna Lami Shiru, who led a team of lawyers from the ministry, moved the motion ex-parte.

Listed as respondents to the motion and defendants to the substantive suit are NARD, its National President, Dr. Mohammad Usman Suleman, and the association’s Secretary General, Dr. Shuaibu Ibrahim.

Justice Subilim, in a copy of the “enrollment order” seen on Friday, said after painstakingly listening to the submission of the lawyer to the claimants and going through the documents submitted and the rules of the court relied on, he was satisfied that the ex parte motion was meritorious and should be granted.

The judge added that he was “satisfied that this is a proper case for the grant of an interim injunction.”

He proceeded to issue an interim order of injunction “restraining the defendants respondents, their members, servants, agents, privies, and or any other person acting on their behalf or at their directives from calling, directing, organising, participating in or embarking upon any form of industrial action, including but not limited to strikes, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing or any other form of industrial protest or disruption.”

The judge also restrained NARD, its National President and Secretary General, from “taking steps preparatory to or in furtherance of any industrial action, from the 12th January, 2026, until the hearing and determination of the motion on notice” filed by the claimants.

Justice Subilim held that the orders made “shall remain in force pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice fixed for the 21st of January, 2026.”

He ordered the claimants/applicants (FRN and the AGF) to serve the defendants with the orders made, “within seven days of the date hereof.”

The judge added that “the defendants/respondents (NARD, Suleman and Ibrahim) shall be at liberty to apply to discharge or vary this order within seven days after services of this order.”

The NARD had earlier this month announced plans to resume its previously suspended “total, indefinite and comprehensive strike with effect from January 12.”The group claimed that its decision was informed by the Federal Government’s alleged failure to fully implement agreed resolutions.

It said the decision to resume its strike was taken at an emergency virtual meeting of the association’s National Executive Council (E-NEC) held on January 2.

A statement by the group said its NEC directed all centre presidents across the association’s 91 accredited centres to convene congress meetings and thereafter address the media, with the aim of saturating public spaces with information on the planned industrial action within the next seven days.

The association said it would resume the strike alongside a series of coordinated protests, beginning with centre-based demonstrations scheduled to be held from January 12 to January

    16.

It added that this would be followed by regional protests to be led by caucus leaders, while a nationwide protest would subsequently be organised by the NARD NOC.

NARD stated that the suspension of the renewed strike would only be considered after the full implementation of what it described as its minimum demands.

These include the reinstatement of the five resident doctors disengaged from the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, and the payment of outstanding promotion and salary arrears, among others.

PANDEF sets up reconciliation committee over renewed Rivers political crisis

The Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has constituted a seven-member reconciliation committee to address the escalating political crisis between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and members of the State House of Assembly.

The committee is chaired by former Attorney-General of the Federation, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN.

The development followed the Assembly’s initiation of a fresh impeachment process against the governor and his deputy on Thursday.

In a statement signed by King Alfred Diete-Spiff, Co-Chairman, Board of Trustees; Obong Victor Attah, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Co-Chairman, BOT; and Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, National Chairman, PANDEF, expressed deep concern over the situation. The group warned that the crisis is troubling and requires urgent intervention to prevent further escalation and a possible breakdown of law and order.

PANDEF urged all parties to embrace peace and pursue dialogue based on compromise, tolerance, and political balance. The forum also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC leadership, and respected Rivers elders for their previous efforts in stabilising the state’s political environment.

The Statement read, “The Board and National Executive Committee of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), the apex socio-political body representing the people of the South-South geopolitical zone, notes with very grave concern the recent spate of political developments in Rivers State. Regrettably, these developments have now degenerated into the decision of the Rivers State House of Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against the Governor of the State and the Deputy Governor.

“This is a deeply disturbing situation that demands urgent attention in order to forestall further escalation and breakdown of law and order. This concern is heightened by the critical importance and strategic centrality of Rivers State to the Niger Delta region and to the broader socio-political stability and economic well-being of Nigeria as a whole.

“In keeping with its non-partisan posture and its overarching role as a unifying and motherly platform for the region, PANDEF calls on all parties involved in the resurgent political imbroglio to sheathe the sword and embrace peace, guided by the principles of give-and-take, dialogue, tolerance, and political equanimity. All stakeholders must place paramount importance on peace, development, and the welfare of the people of Rivers State, as well as the interests of other citizens of the South-South, Nigerians at large, and the sizable expatriate community resident in the State. We must now focus squarely on good governance and the development of the state.

“PANDEF commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), respected elders of Rivers State, and other well-meaning Nigerians for their previous and ongoing efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the State.

“However, in line with its long-standing tradition and proven record in peace-making and peace-building initiatives across the Niger Delta, PANDEF has constituted a high-level team of eminent Nigerians to intervene in the matter.

“PANDEF calls on all parties to fully cooperate with this distinguished and highly respected team of senior Nigerians and sons and daughters of the South-South zone, as they selflessly commit their time and experience to this arduous assignment, with the objective of achieving a peaceful, fair, and sustainable resolution through a dispassionate and inclusive process.”

Other members of the committee are: Senator Obende Domingo (Former Senator, Edo North) – Vice Chairman; Rt Hon (Chief) Essien Nduese, (Former Minister of Housing); Dr. Timiebi Koripamo-Agari (Retired Federal Permanent Secretary) – Member; Chief Mike Ejiofor (RTD Director, Department of State Service), Member; Mrs. Nella Rabana-Andem, SAN (Former Attorney-General, Cross River State) – Member; and Prince Godwin Okotie (Deputy National Secretary, PANDEF) – Secretary.

  • Peter Obi’s presence has strengthened party’s confidence nationwide — ADC

Peter Obi’s presence has strengthened party’s confidence nationwide — ADC

    • …says Atiku believes in collective victory
    • …as party woos members, targets 2.3 million registered voters in Delta

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said the presence of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has strengthened the party’s confidence nationwide.

Prof. Festus Arunaye, the ADC national member, Membership Revalidation, Mobilization and Registration Committee (MRMRC), stated this during the inauguration of the 10-member Delta State committee on membership registration on Friday in Asaba.

Arunaye said Peter Obi brought integrity, discipline, and strong economic understanding to the coalition, asserting that the former Anambra State Governor had brought excellence to the ADC.

The party chieftains stated, “Peter Obi is a man of integrity. He is a man who knows the running of the economy that is above average. Therefore, such a personality joining the coalition has given us, as a Mathematician, I don’t easily give people an A, an A— Excellent position.

“Some people are quick now; they are sick now because Obi has joined us.”

He also stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar supports a free, fair, and credible primary process and believes in collective victory, making the ADC a party to beat in the coming general elections.

He stated: “Also, I will tell you that Atiku Abubakar wants to right the wrongs, if he had done any wrong while he was the Vice President. Atiku has not condemned any other aspirants coming together to form the coalition.

“Atiku believes that they will all go to the primary, which will be free, fair, and credible, and that any person who wins, the ADC will work for that person. That is the goal and mission of our great party.”

Speaking to the party members in Delta, Prof. Arunaye said that following their inauguration, the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party gave a clear directive: within 30 days, all states must submit interim reports on membership registration and financial accountability.

He said the directive was born out of the hard truth that for too long in Nigerian politics, party cards have been hoarded, sold, and weaponized by a few—at state, local government, and ward levels—while the ordinary party member was locked out.

He declared that that era ends now, noting that under the leadership of General David Mark (rtd.), a man of proven integrity, the ADC had drawn a red line against corruption, exclusion, and money-bag politics.

As part of the radical break from the past, Prof. Arunaye said party cards would no longer pass through middlemen such as the state, LG, or ward chairmen.

He stated that the 10-man Registration and Accountability Committee at each level would supervise distribution, insisting that no individual, no godfather, no structure could hijack the process.

The chieftain, who said the card is secure, state-specific, and tamper-proof, averred that each card carries five security features, both visible and invisible.

He said the cards are state-designed and state-crested—a Delta card cannot be used in Anambra or anywhere else, and that cards are released strictly based on verified state demand.

Prof. Arunaye said no one is authorized to collect money on behalf of the party, noting that payments are made electronically only, directly into a dedicated national deposit account.

He said this account is deposit-only—no withdrawals, adding that every member must personally obtain their card.

He stated: “Once payment is made, the member is instantly captured in the national database in Abuja. Every card issued is traceable, and every member is accounted for.

“Physical registration will be backed by electronic registration. An official ADC registration app—currently in advanced development—will be deployed within five days across all states and the FCT.

“This ensures: real-time verification, zero manipulation, and absolute transparency.”

Stressing the importance placed on the card, Prof. Arunaye said the ADC is a coalition of Nigerians from all walks of life—some wealthy, many not.

He clarified that money will not buy influence in ADC, saying that the billionaire and the villager will stand on equal footing.

“If you live in a remote village, you will have the same access to party membership as anyone in Abuja or Lagos. Your name, your payment, and your membership will count—nationally. This is how confidence is built.

This is how faith in democracy is restored,” he indicated.

He said the ADC’s movement is grassroots-driven and strategic, stressing that there will be banners in every ward, town criers in rural communities, direct engagement with the people, and clear communication of the party’s manifesto, while at the national level, the press has been fully prioritized to project ADC’s vision for a new Nigeria.

Prof. Arunaye said the ADC membership card costs ₦500, saying this is not a revenue scheme but a symbol of members’ commitment.

“ADC rejects the politics where party membership is treated as an investment expecting returns in cash or contracts. That mentality is the root of corruption, and ADC abhors corruption,” he said

Speaking on the state of the party, Prof. Arunaye clarified that there is no faction in the ADC, noting that the party is unified, focused, and moving forward.

On the party’s membership drive in Delta State, Arunaye said, based on population strength and political engagement, the ADC projects 2.3 million registered members in the state.

“This projection is realistic, verifiable, and achievable,” he stated.

He rationalized that the ADC is a people-oriented movement, stressing: “We are building a party that will deliver government of the people, by the people, and for the people—and we are doing it with transparency, courage, and conviction.”

Fubara lacks capacity to win Rivers for Tinubu in 2027 – Rivers Deputy Chief Whip

    • …We need development – Wike

Deputy Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Ofiks Kagbang, has said Governor Siminalayi Fubara lacks the political strength to secure Rivers State for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Kagbang made the remark during the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike’s ongoing “thank you” tour of Andoni Local Government Area. He credited Wike with preventing the state from sliding into crisis and cautioned against a return to what he described as its “dark days.”

He expressed confidence that Rivers State would deliver for President Tinubu in 2027 through Wike’s leadership.

While acknowledging the gratitude of the Ijaw people, Kagbang added that certain political missteps by the governor must be addressed.

His words, “We have saved Rivers State from crisis. Rivers State cannot go back to its ‘dark days’.

“People who will deliver Tinubu are with Wike, not with Fubara. Not those people at Government house. Andoni people are grateful people.

“Those who will deliver President Bola Tinubu in 2027 are with Wike.

“The one in the government house is a mistake, and we will correct that mistake when the time comes.”

While addressing the gathering, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, called for unity of purpose for the growth and progress of Rivers State.

Wike made the call during his ongoing “thank you” visit to Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers.

He said unity had brought progress and development for the Andoni people, stressing the need for leaders at the local and state levels to remain united for the good of all.

Wike advised the people to continue to work together, assuring that more development would come to Andoni if the leaders remained united.

The minister said politicians in the state were united under one umbrella, the “Renewed Hope Family” tagged Rainbow Coalition, to ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

Wike said, “We don’t have party allegiance in Rivers. What we have is a Rainbow Coalition under the Renewed Hope Family in pursuit of a common course and interest.

“You supported Tinubu in 2023, and today we are seeing the results. Do the same in 2027.

“For our local politics, at the appropriate time we will take a decision to correct the mistake we made in 2023.”

Chairman of the Council, Prince Otuo, told Wike that he had united the leaders of the party in the area to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election for a second term in 2027.

Otuo thanked Wike for all the support and employment opportunities he had provided for his people, including projects executed in the area during his tenure as governor of the state.

  • Mararaba–Keffi expressway: Umahi sacks works controller over alleged fraudulent certification

Mararaba–Keffi expressway: Umahi sacks works controller over alleged fraudulent certification

Minister of Works, David Umahi, has directed the immediate removal of a Controller of Works over allegations of fraudulent certification of unexecuted and incomplete projects, warning that negligence and indiscipline within the Ministry will no longer be condoned.

Umahi issued the directive on Friday during an inspection of the ongoing expansion of the Mararaba–Keffi Expressway. He accused the official of issuing certificates that facilitated payments for jobs that were either partially executed or not carried out at all.

“I am directing the Permanent Secretary to remove the Controller with immediate effect and send him to my office to learn how to obey instructions. Another Controller should be redeployed immediately to take over,” Umahi stated.

He added that the same official had previously certified palliative works that were never executed, leading to unwarranted payments to contractors.

Declaring 2026 an “action year,” the Minister warned officials of the Ministry of Works that disobedience, negligence, and collusion with contractors would attract strict sanctions. He emphasised that discipline and diligence would guide all operations going forward.

Umahi further noted that Ministry officials deployed to project sites have full authority to enforce directives from the Minister or his representatives, and contractors’ failure to comply should result in denial of certificates or immediate escalation to higher authorities.

“When action is taken, no amount of pleading will reverse it. I report directly to Mr President,” he said.

The warning accompanied a firm ultimatum issued to China Harbour Engineering Company, the contractor handling a 43-kilometre section of the Mararaba–Keffi Expressway. Umahi mandated that the road be completed and handed over on or before February 28, 2026.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the pace of work and the contractor’s disregard for earlier directives, he ordered the removal of hand-moulded caps along the corridor, the commencement of median concreting, and the installation of solar-powered street lights across the entire stretch. He also directed the contractor to submit a detailed work schedule and a written commitment to meet the February deadline.

“I am giving you the end of February to hand over this job. You must come to my office on Wednesday with your timetable and a commitment to complete the project by then,” the Minister warned.

He urged both Ministry officials and contractors to act in the interest of Nigerians, stressing that sanctions imposed on erring officers would stand unless reversed by the President.

“I need your prayers. I will have many fights, but I am not afraid of any,” he asserted.

He noted that the peace enjoyed today was a result of the bravery and sacrifices of departed soldiers, adding that praying for them remains a religious and moral duty.

  • Oyo police arrest three underage girls over alleged kidnapping plot

Oyo police arrest three underage girls over alleged kidnapping plot

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three underage girls over an alleged kidnapping attempt.

The suspects — Nurudeen Fathia, 17; Fatai Taiwo, 17; and Munirat Saliu, 16 — were apprehended after a complaint by one Islamiat Omowumi on Friday, January 9, 2026. Omowumi reported receiving a threatening call from a private number.

Confirming the incident, the Command’s Spokesman, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ayanlade Olayinka, said the girls allegedly threatened to abduct Omowumi, demanded human parts, and requested a ransom of N10 million, warning of severe consequences if their demands were not met.

Olayinka said, “The Oyo State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public of the successful arrest of suspected kidnappers following a threat report received by the Command, demonstrating its commitment to proactive, intelligence-led, and preventive policing.

“On Friday, 9th January, 2026, one Islamiat Omowumi (female) of Ikoyi-Ile reported at the station that she had received a threatening phone call from a private number.

“The caller allegedly threatened to kidnap her and demanded human parts, claiming she was being targeted because she is a meat seller, and further demanded a ransom of Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000.00), with threats of dire consequences should the demand not be met.

“In response, detectives of the Command immediately swung into action, deploying intelligence-led investigative measures which swiftly led to the arrest of three suspects, namely: Nurudeen Fathia (female), aged 17 years, Fatai Taiwo (female), aged 17 years, and Munirat Saliu (female), aged 16 years

“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the act, claiming that the threat was intended as a prank. A small Itel mobile phone allegedly used in perpetrating the crime was recovered from them, further corroborating the investigation.

“The suspects are currently in custody while the investigation continues to fully unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine appropriate legal action in accordance with the law.

“The Command uses this opportunity to warn members of the public, particularly youths, against engaging in acts capable of causing fear, panic, or threat to life, as such actions constitute serious criminal offences with attendant legal consequences.

“The Oyo State Police Command reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property and encourages residents to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. This proactive and timely intervention underscores the Command’s resolve to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents across the State.”
