Blame me for my mistakes, not my religion – Naira Marley

Controversial singer, Naira Marley, has urged his fans to hold him accountable for his actions, rather than attributing his lifestyle to his religion, Islam.

In a recent social media post, he emphasised that while Islam is “perfect,” Muslims are not.

“Islam is perfect, Muslims are not. If I make mistake, blame me, but not my religion.”

Naira Marley’s statement generated a mixed reaction from his followers.

Some praised him for taking responsibility for his mistakes, while others criticised him for not being a better ambassador for his faith.

@Mr_Lasdon wrote, “This is why Muslims are encouraged to act according to the teaching of Islam, we should always reflect and be good ambassador to our religion.”

@Olumachoo wrote, “Well said! Islam, like any faith, is pure. It’s people who fall short. Judge individuals, not the religion.”

@MD_Jatta wrote, “Oh no, you’re the perfect representation of your religion—flaws and all.

“By the way, if you can read actual Arabic (which I can), I’ll pick a song from your terrible playlist and torture my ears with it all day long.”

@ObinnaCEO added, “No religion is perfect, just as no human is. Faith is meant to guide, not to claim superiority. What matters is how we live, treat others, and strive for truth.

Failing to marry a woman you deflowered has consequences, Pastor Olukoya warns

The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya has emphasised the spiritual implications of premarital s3x.

According to him, men who deflowered women, form a covenant with them, which can lead to a lifetime of spiritual bondage.

Dr. Olukoya warned that this covenant can also transfer demonic influences to future partners, causing havoc in their lives.

He stressed the importance of breaking this covenant to prevent its consequences from affecting future generations.

He said: “If you’re a man and you have disvirgined somebody or more than one lady. Don’t be surprised if your life is upside down. Because when you disvirgin a woman, you wet your male organ with the blood from that woman. So you have formed a covenant to that woman. So to now say you did not marry the person is a serious problem you have caused for yourself. It will go from generation to generation unless you break it. If the girl you disvirgin is now demonic, then you have formed a covenant with a girl and with a demon. And when you move over to another woman, the extra luggage you collected from that demonic girl, you transfer it to another girl that has no demon, that one too will collect”.
