Bayelsa council chair’s mum, SPDC workers rescued from abductors

POLICE in Bayelsa State have rescued the kidnapped 80-year-old, Mrs Beauty Nimizuoa, mother of the chairman of  Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.

Also rescued were some  workers of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) kidnapped two months ago.

Commissioner of Police, Mr Nkereuwem Akpan, told journalists in Yenagoa yesterday that the rescuing of kidnapped victims was made possible by  the cooperation and support of law abiding people of the state.
