BBNaija Shine Ya Eye: Boma tells Queen not to cage him

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate Boma has warned Queen to stop caging him.

Boma spoke to Queen after the Saturday night party.

He complained he does not appreciate how Queen dragged him away from dancing with other girls at the Friday party.

According to Boma, he is not in a relationship with Queen so she should stop trying to cage him especially when he’s with other females who have stayed longer than her in the house.

“I have to tell you now don’t pull me off from other girls when I’m dancing we are not in a relationship.

“I don’t want people to think I’m dating you, it is not cool stop caging me,” he said.

In her defence, Queen said Boma embarrassed her with his words and actions in front of other girls.

The ex-beauty queen said she merely pulled Boma away playfully and wasn’t as serious as he’s making it seem.

She further said she is aware of the obvious but she only wonders why Boma sticks with her and after a while decides to embarrass her with words they are not in a relationship.

  • No regrets over my actions in BBNaija – Evicted Niyi

No regrets over my actions in BBNaija – Evicted Niyi

Niyi Lawal, a 33-year-old computer engineer from Oyo State, made an impression on viewers and housemates with his intimidating height when he stepped into the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house on July 24.

He was singled out by housemates and viewers for owning up to being married and has a child and not willing to sacrifice the union and his family for a N90 million grand prize.

In this interview with ASSISTANT ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR, GBENGA BADA, Niyi opened up on advances from female housemates, his fight with Pere and experiences in the house. Excerpts:

Why did you get on the show knowing that you are married?

So, I think that is one of the many reactions people get when it’s BBNaija and they see a married man going for the show. But it’s beyond that being married, it’s a reality TV show where you have to live your own reality irrespective of you being married or being single.

The main reason I went in for Big Brother is I saw a big platform where I can leverage on to promote my craft, my business and live my reality as I said earlier on like everybody else. I wasn’t even thinking if I was going to get bashed for being married or not.

What was your wife’s reaction when you first told her?

My wife is a very supportive woman who has always supported my goals and my dreams. First of all, it happened the day that Laycon season started and like three people advised me to enter for Big Brother having had good followership on TikTok, so I told her about it.

She’s not familiar with the show and I used to see the show many years back but see posts here and there on social media, so I explained the positives to her and she thought it was a great idea and gave me her positive support.

What was her reception like when you returned?

It was massive. She knew the man she was sending into the house and my activities were nothing short of her expectations. So, coming out of the house, I received love from her and my family and extended family. Everyone has been giving positive facts.

Some housemates felt you were being hypocritical by coming on Big Brother when you knew you were married, how did you cope with all that?

It’s actually hypocritical of Pere to say I did not participate in the Truth or Dare game because I was married because I started the game. I remember starting the game in the dining area because I saw that Pere wanted games and action to happen in the house and I had fun when we started the game. Then I noticed that people might want to push me to the edge to do things I don’t want to do, and I opted out. I felt, I was not going to shoot myself in the game. Me being in the house and being married doesn’t have anything to do with what is happening in the house, I mean I will have to use my head to play the game and not just catching cruise and other things that they expected me to do. There are other things we can also do to have fun, so that’s it for me.

You were nominated by the two wildcards, Pere and Maria. Do you think you were not given enough time to showcase yourself?

I think two weeks is a very short time for anybody. I think when you go into a confined space like that and you have to live with 21 other places, you actually need time to settle down and get to know other housemates before you do anything. Two weeks is actually a very short time for anybody . I knew I was going to come up for possible eviction when I knew that Pere and Maria were the wildcards because Pere and I didn’t get along. We already had a fight, so it wasn’t surprising for me.

How was the Saturday’s night party experience?

So, I wasn’t really thinking about the negatives or that I would be evicted on Sunday. I was just having fun and that is me, Niyi for you because you know Ebuka felt we didn’t do much in the party

Read Also: BBNaija Shine Ya Eye: Takeaways from third Saturday’s night party

because we were just dry bones at the party and I knew I could bring out the fire in me and that Saturday, Gordon did magic and if you compare it to the first Saturday, I think I was just settling in but had fun in the second Saturday.

What happened between Beatrice and Angel and yourself when they threw advances at you?

With Beatrice, she was very close to me and she always threw statements at me and they were advances that I couldn’t really tell if she was joking, a game plan or she was serious but I kind of have a way of putting myself to the housemates that I don’t want to pass a wrong signal to anybody and you won’t get any misconception about me.

With Angel, she was always coming to the bathroom during shower time and it happened like five times but it’s who she is, she likes catching cruise and all that and I kind of understood her and it was scary because you never can tell so I told her that if she tries it the sixth time, she won’t like what I will do to her but it was all cruise at the end of the day.

    Were you attracted to anyone?

The thing is I don’t think it’s about the physical attraction but I was connected with all the housemates because they are uniquely different in many ways but one person I would have love to really connect with but not in a sexual way was Saskay. I just find her beautiful mind and exposure intriguing knowing that she’s a young lady. It was interesting for me.

How long did you think you would stay in the house?

Not two weeks though, I can tell you for sure. I knew my chances of winning as a married man was slim but I knew I have the vibes and the action and not sure of how many weeks but definitely not two weeks.

What would you have done differently?

Honestly, there’s nothing I would have done differently because it was just unfortunate that we had a wildcard this season. We had the chance and opportunities for housemates to put the wildcards  up but we didn’t know them, so there’s nothing I would have done differently, I would have still lived my reality. I look back to the show and I am happy that I got to be myself and myself is what you have seen, I was settling down but the Saturday night parties like you discussed would still have been the same. In all, I am happy I lived my reality and I’m happy the housemates still miss me and they call me Mr Married man.

Do you think your height intimidated other housemates?

I was a major threat, it wasn’t just about my height, I mean I am a fine man and I know how to dress but bottomline, I was a major threat to the housemates. I was competition, I had people who complimented me and others who didn’t like me and even before I went into the house, I knew my height and my looks will make people perceive me as a threat although my persona isn’t the same. Many of them didn’t give me the opportunity to show them that it’s not what they think.

Did you witness any housemate or housemates having sex at any point?

No, not at any point and not to my knowledge. I didn’t oo and I would have loved to see but the closest was the truth or dare.

  • BBNaija Shine Ya Eye: Takeaways from third Saturday’s night party

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye: Takeaways from third Saturday’s night party

The third Saturday night party had several highlights worth knowing.

In the first Saturday night party, housemates were described as boring but the Shine Ya Eye housemates had switched it up at the second Saturday night party – no thanks to Gordon’s dry gin.

The fun, which DJ Nana dished out for the 22 housemates was almost replicated on the third Saturday when DJ Xclusive took over the wheels.

As always, drinks flowed ceaselessly. This time it was the global brand Ciroc that housemates gulped, and as expected, some housemates consumed too much.

Here are some of the highlights:

    DJ Xclusive did his thing

DJ Xclusive dished out unlimited fun on the turntable on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Xclusive became the third DJ to play for the housemates in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition.

The Disc Jockey took his time to make the housemates dance to the tunes that blared from the speakers between 10pm and 12am.

DJ Big N was on hand on the first Saturday night while DJ Nana serenaded housemates, viewers, and Biggie on the second Saturday night.

    The Caribbean touch

The housemates turned up for the party drawing inspiration from the Caribbeans.

All the male housemates were significantly spotting knickers while the housemates had different shades of soft flowing attires.

To match the different attires of the housemates were dozens of garlands or lei which was worn around their necks and head – for the female.

    Queen is a fire dancer

If there’s one housemate that defied the first-week fever since she entered into the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, it is definitely Queen.

Aside from having a row with two different housemates in her first week, Queen displayed mastery of the dance floor at party.

While it took many housemates to let down their air on the first Saturday night, Queen had it all in check.

Though she eventually got drunk from unrestricted consumption of different flavours of the Ciroc brand, her dance steps remain a major highlight of party.

For every song, Queen had a body movement and she changed her dance moves almost as frequently as DJ Xclusive changed records.

    Between Jackie and Michael

It’s common knowledge that Jackie B and Michael are a thing in the house. However, the two went into the party room with the determination to rock the dance floor. And sure, they did.

The seemingly BBNaija couple kept their bodies grinding against each other for the better part of the two hours of the party.

Though Michael, at different times, had to switch moves with other female housemates – and sometimes male housemates – Jackie B remained a party fit.

After the party, which was Michael’s first, the emotions set in and he found comfort in the hands of Peace, who was a little tipsy.

This saw Jackie B raising an eyebrow and requesting a talk.

Jackie B had complained about Michael’s embarrassing acts – earlier in the day, he had pulled Angel over to give him a head massage while Jackie was there and had just made him lunch.

The two had several minutes to discuss their relationship and Michael insisted he could walk out if Jackie B maintains her pre-imposed conclusions.

Cross, shirt don’t work on the dance floor

On the second Saturday night party, Cross established himself as the party beast and all the housemates had one memory or the other to share with new housemates about Cross and parties.

Like the last two Saturday night parties, Cross was barely clothed.

With the Caribbean shirts not helping, it was not long before Cross pulled off his shirt to display his abs as he whined and wriggled on the dance floor with as many female housemates as possible.

If all he did was just engage in erotic dance moves, it won’t have been such a big deal but he consumed almost the same volume of alcohol that always leave him inebriated.

    JMK let her hair down

JMK, one of the four new housemates, who were introduced into the house exactly a week ago, has finally decided to let her hair down.

Though she had decided to join housemates for a Friday night jacuzzi party, it was not until Saturday night that she displayed her dancing and booty-shaking abilities.

Though her consumption of an over-gauged volume of Ciroc left her a bit tipsy, her dance moves were not only highlights of the show but endeared her to several males and even female housemates on the dance floor.

Pere, Maria loosen up as HOH tenure nears end

The third Head Of House, Pere was all in his business – and other female housemate’s businesses too – on the third Saturday night party.

The military-styled HOH couldn’t help but loose guard as his tenure draws to an end.

He seemed past caring of his misplaced attempts to take the shine off Whitemoney in the kitchen as he remained glued to his deputy and love interest, Maria, for the better part of the party.

The two kept whining and grinding close to the mirror for a better part of the party till they found other opposite housemates to dance with.

Maria was still careful with whom she danced with but Pere seemed past caring.

    The couple dances

Nini and Saga, Emmanuel and Liquorose might continue to deny a relationship but viewers and all housemates know these two pairs have gone past the stage of friendship.

For the better part of the party, the two pairs remained glued to each other.

From their dance steps to their chitchats on the dance floor, viewers got nothing but couple goals from the four housemates.

The two couples sure know how to serenade viewers – especially young couples.

BBNaija Lockdown’s first runner-up, Dorathy has explained why Jaypaul, one of the 23 in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, was turned back.

Prince and Dorathy – both ex-housemates – in a live video with Kiddwaya, another BBNaija Lockdown ex-housemate – on Instagram on Friday revealed that Jaypaul was turned back because he had COVID-19.

Prince said Jaypaul was replaced by the ‘lockdown housemate, Trickytee.
