    One of the new Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemates, JMK, has revealed she abandoned her call to bar so that she could be on the show.

    JMK made this known in a conversation with Angel following the addition of JMK and three others on the show.

    According to JMK, she forfeited her call to bar because of the show.

    She said since her result came out very well, she’ll be able to do her call to bar later but BBNaija was an opportunity that couldn’t wait.

    According to her: “It was tough for me and I was losing it. It was between what my parents would think obviously; ‘After you spend six years and you did not make your call to bar?’ Then, there was me trying to make a decision for myself.

    “The opportunity that comes with this is huge. I’m not saying law school is not important but this is huge. So if I can have it both ways, why should I leave one for the other?”

    “It’s not like the call to bar is running. If I didn’t go now, I’ll not come to Big Brother again.”

    JMK also said that she’s glad that she’s finally into the show as she added, “I don’t know. I feel like if I wasn’t meant to be here, I wouldn’t be.”

    ‘Satanic’ #BBNaija should be shut down, says ex-housemate

    Ex-BBNaija ‘See Gobe’ season 2 Housemate, Gifty Powers has described the most-watched reality TV show in Nigeria as satanic.

    Gifty Powers, who came into the limelight and achieved celebrity status after her participation in reality TV, condemned the show and called on the relevant authorities to completely shut it down.

    Explaining her stance, the mother of two stated the BBNaija show has kept lives in competition.

    Gifty noted there are a lot of things her eyes have seen that her mouth can’t say in connection with the popular reality show which gets viewers across Africa and beyond glued to their TV set.

    The reality TV star, who also anticipates bashing as a result of her post, referred to her intended trolls as weak and those who the devil has manipulated

    She wrote: “BIG BROTHER NAIJA NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ENTIRELY. I WISH I KNEW WHAT I KNOW NOW.

    “BIG BROTHER NAIJA HAS KEPT LIVES IN COMPETITION. BIG BROTHER NAIJA IS SATANIC.

    “Well, you can choose to believe me or not. What I have seen, is something my mouth no fit to carry.

    “Everyone and their cross. I’ve said my own. The ball is in your court. Bye!

    “Ps: just in case you start to abuse your generation, know you’re starting with your mother indirectly. Number 1 thing the devil does is to manipulate the weak. So congrats on, you are one.”

    BBNAIJA Shine Ya Eye: JMK under fire over old viral posts

    One of the newly introduced BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemates, Jumoke aka JMK came under social media backlash after her old post went viral few hours after entering the House.

    Fans of the show were quick to search for her social media pages as her old posts surfaced.

    In her post, she dissed Wizkid, Erica, Laycon and Tacha.

    According to some of her posts, JMK said she had no interest in reality show as Nigerian shows do not interest her.

    She wrote: ”Erica should better fire her stylist! That picture is very upsetting”.

    ”Lekan na hypocrite sha last last. He wishes it was him instead, best bet”, ”Lekan dey vigilante duty?”

    “Shey tacha kolosi school ni abi wetin?, tori koye mi o haba “

    Her social media handler then wrote: “The internet never forgets ooo.. We live, we learn.. I’m sorry.’’

    BBNaija Shine Ya Eye kicked off the third week with the Monday night nominations after Pere, one of the former wildcards, emerged the third Head Of House.

    The housemates up for eviction are Arin, Emmanuel, Nini, Princess, Tega, and Saskay.

    As the Head Of House, Biggie gave Pere the privilege to use his veto power to save one of the housemates up for eviction and replace with another.

    Using his power, Pere replaced Saga with Saskay.

    Biggie had informed the housemates that Pere can not be put up for possible eviction alongside the four new housemates, JMK, Queen, Kayvee, and Michael.

    18 housemates took turns to nominate two housemates for possible eviction ahead of the third Sunday night live eviction show.

    Princess name came up concurrently on the lips of many housemates followed by Arin and Tega.

    Emmanuel and Saga also had their names on the lips of some of the housemates.

    Pere also nominated Maria as his Deputy HOH and to which she accepted.

    Here’s how the housemates nominated:

    Boma: Saskay and Princess

    Cross: Princess and Tega

    Saga: Princess and Tega

    Whitemoney: Arin and JayPaul

    Nini: Princess and Emmanuel

    Jackie B: Saga and Nini

    Former Head Of House Peace couldn’t hold back her tears following the announcement of housemates up for possible eviction on Sunday, August 15, 2021.

    Peace was consoled by Jackie B, Angel and Nini after the housemates dispersed from the lounge.

    Pere, the current Head Of House, had replaced Saga with Saskay on the list after he used his veto power.

    Peace, who couldn’t hold back her tears, said she can’t believe her friends, Nini and Arin are up for possible evictions.

    Nini, in response, said she’s confident she would remain in the house if the viewers like her and she would be evicted if not.

    She urged Peace to remain calm and keep her fingers crossed.

    Nini further told other housemates she knew Pere would save Saga over her because he’s closer to Saga.

    She went further to say she would have been saved by Pere if Saga was not on the list.

    After the conversation, Arin and Peace decided to talk about it.

    Arin said she knew she was going to be nominated for possible eviction because she was too vocal and in the housemates’ faces.

    Meanwhile, Princess said she didn’t feel any emotion but she’s unsure if she will cry or not.

    Later on, she was spotted in the garden with Jackie B discussing.

    Pere has emerged third Head of the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition House and was granted immunity from the nomination for possible eviction.

    Pere emerged after all the 23 housemates gathered at the arena for the ‘Head of House’ game on Monday, August 9, 2021.

    It was the same game of die rolling and boxes with instructions to determine the third HoH in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition.

    All the 23 housemates took turns in throwing the die and participated in the game at the kick-off.

    Pere eventually won the game.

    With this development, Pere heads the House into the third week’s task and activities.

    Biggie gave unrestricted visits from housemates to the Head of House lounge but no sleeping over.

    As usual, the Head of House (HoH) title comes with some extra privileges. Pere gets to sit on the throne-like HoH chair, gets information directly from Big Brother, and reads out the day’s task to the other housemates.

    This privilege is one of the reasons the HoH challenge is usually hotly contested for.

    First BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Head of House, Peace has admitted having a flirtatious personality.

    Peace admitted this to Cross, Jackie B and Arin, in an afternoon conversation on Monday, August 9.

    Peace was settling her differences with Cross when she made the statement.

    She told Cross that she is fond of flirting with almost all the male housemates and doesn’t see it as any big deal.

    The young Peace is the first housemate and female to emerge winner of the HOH die game.

    Mixed reactions have trailed Yousef’s escape from eviction from BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house.

    Some viewers criticised northerners for voting the housemate despite their calls to ban the programme.

    Throwing jabs at Yousef fans, Sisi Khaleesi wrote: “I fear Arewa people, they say one thing outside and do another indoors. They are probably voting secretly.”

    Also, Olisa Osega said: “Arewa youths want the government to ban BBNaija but they voted massively for Yousef.”

    “You all are surprised that Yousef is saved? Remember this season’s voting pattern, no one does full subscription like the Arewa people. Trust them to give him all the votes,”WaamO mocked.

    For Dr Frank Obi: “I’m still Shocked YOUSEF survived. I thought he could have been the first I never saw YERINS Eviction coming too soon. Truly Biggie plus the Viewers really shocked us all tonight.”

    On Saturday, Arewa Youths Advisory Forum (AYCF) called on the Federal Government to ban the BBNaija.

    The National President of AYCF, Yerima Shettima described the show as a calamity.

    “I never believed in BBNaija and I don’t think it’s fair because the show is an act of immorality. Such a spectacle should not be encouraged,” he said.

    BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate Nini has clearly stated that she’s not in a relationship with fellow housemate, Saga.

    Nini decided to state her relationship status after Whitemoney told one of the four new housemates, Michael, that she’s taken and with Saga.

    This did not go down well with Nini as she sat Whitemoney down and told him to stop putting her in a box in the house.

    Nini told Whitemoney: “Don’t put me in a box, I’m not in a relationship with Saga.

    “He’s not in a box so you guys should stop pitching us together.

    “We’re just chilling, he’s never asked me out because he knows I have a boyfriend. We are friends. I respect his feelings and he respects mine too.”

    Saga has continuously expressed his feelings for Nini but she insisted she has a boyfriend outside the house.

    However, both housemates seem to be seen together at every corner in the house.
