  • Tattoos on my body represent life desires — BBNaija winner

    Mercy Eke, winner of the 2019 Big Brother Naija, says tattoos on her body were important as they were symbols of her desire to achieve her dreams.

    She disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of her presentation to the newsmen, at the Multichoice office, Ilupeju, Lagos on Wednesday.

    Mercy, who did not hide her passion for having tattoos, said she has lost count of the numbers of tattoo on her body, adding that she only has flowers and butterfly imprinted on her skin.

    “I love tattoos and I have many of them. I can’t tell you the number till I count them; I only have flowers and butterfly tattoos on.

    “The tattoos are indication that I can fly to a height without limit and also depict that everyone has wings to fly to any place that is right.

    “I love fashion a lot and I make sure that I am comfortable with what I wear. I have different clothes for different occasions which determine what I wear.

    “I have a fashion line and luxury line. I called it luxury not because they are that expensive but because it looks expensive. We can dress well and look luxurious without much money,” she said.

    On the fight with her BBNaija housemate, Tacha, which led to the disqualification of the later, Mercy said she still maintain friendship with Tacha.

    “I still maintain my friendship with Tacha whatever happens; she has reached out to me. People should know that friends do fight occasionally, so what happened in the house is a reflection of us.

    “People will start seeing us together afterwards, we are still friends.

    “All I want is the grace of God to continue. Every time, I wake up to pray to God for his grace upon me. With that, I will be fine,” she said.

  • BBNaija winner Mercy gets SUV, N30m

    Few days after the end of Season Four of Big Brother Naija (BBN4), operators of the franchise, Multichoice, has said Nigeria has the biggest and best Big Brother House.

    Multichoice Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, spoke yesterday in Lagos when he addressed reporters to present winner of the reality television show, Mercy Eke, her gifts.

    These include a brand new N25 million Innoson Motors sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a cheque of N30 million.

    The presentation took place at the MultiChoice office and venue of the Big Brother House in Ilupeju, Lagos.

    Mercy, who made history by becoming the first female winner of BBN, thanked the organisers and sponsors of the event. She also thanked her family and fans.

    “I’m overwhelmed, I’m lost for words,” she said.

    When asked about her plans, Mercy said she was going to push her fashion brand, M & M.

    Mercy said her controversial housemate, Tacha, who was evicted when they fought, remained her friend.

    Managing Director of Multichoice, John Ugbe, thanked everyone involved in the production, which trended globally on Twitter.

    He said the owners of the Big Brother brand, Endemol, visited the Big Brother House in Lagos.

    “Endemol came in to inspect (the house) and they gave us feedback. One, we have the biggest Big Brother House in the world. But a times, maybe bigger is not best. But we have the best Big Brother House in the world.”

    Ugbe also said the show had “50 million votes in the final week”, another first.

    At the event were other BBN finalists – first runner-up Mike, second runner-up Frodd,  Omashola and Seyi – as well as Ike.

    Also present were Channel Director, Africa Magic, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu; Senior Marketing Manager, Bet9ja, Olufemi Osobajo; Head of Corporate Communication, Heritage Bank PLC, Fela Ibidapo-Obe and Managing Director, Innoson Motors,  Mr Donatus  Okeke.

    Twenty-six housemates competed in the reality TV show with the theme: Pepper Dem, which ended on Sunday evening after 99 days.

    Days after the end of Season Four of Big Brother Naija, operators of the franchise, Multichoice, has disclosed that Nigeria has the biggest and best Big Brother House.

    The CEO of Multichoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, said this during the press conference to present winner of the reality television show, Mercy Eke, her gifts – a brand new N25m Innoson SUV and a cheque of N30m.

    The presentation took place on Tuesday at the Multichoice office and venue of the Big Brother House in Ilupeju, Lagos.

    Mercy, who made history by becoming the first female winner of Big Brother Naija, thanked organisers and sponsors of the event. She also thanked her family and fans.

    “I’m overwhelmed, I’m lost for words,” she said.

  • Tacha removes Davido’s tattoo from her chest

    Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha Akide who was disqualified from the show, has finally cleaned Davido’s tattoo from between her boobs. This was as a result of constant scolding from her esteemed fans.

    Recall that the self-acclaimed, Port Harcourt First Daughter, a 23-year-old native of Cross River came into limelight after she got a tattoo of Davido’s DMW crest on her chest.

    Tacha ignored the Big Brother final party on Saturday night, making it obvious that she has nothing to do with big brother again, she unfollowed Big Brother Naija Page on Instagram days after her disqualification. Kim Oprah was also not at the party.

    Tacha, who is constantly being trolled on social media over her over reactive character and her alleged body odour, had on Sunday night released a stunning picture of herself on her Instagram page, a picture where the DMW’s logo had obviously vanished from between her boobs.

  • BBNaija: Tacha extends hand of friendship to winner, Mercy

    BBNaija 2019 ‘pepper Dem Gang’ ex-housemate, Anita Natacha Akide, a.k.a, Tacha, has extended a hand of friendship to the winner of the show, Mercy Eke.

    Following her disqualification in an argument with Mercy during the show, Tacha however, extended a hand of friendship to her saying she hopes they can hang out after the BBNaija Pepper Dem.

    Earlier, Tacha took to her official Twitter handle @Symply Tacha to express her respect and affection for Mercy, before she emerged the winner of the BBNaija 2019.

    “Our super eye candy, I love to think we had a unique relationship. I admired you. Yes, our relationship may not have been as close and as interesting as it should have been due to obvious reasons of being alike and trying to avoid having one or two clashes here and there.

    “But that doesn’t stop you from being the super amazing human being that you are. The game remains the game.

    “Everything that happened back in the house stays and remains there. You are an amazing human and you deserve the best out of life. Lambo Lambo! I wish you all the best and I wish we can kick back and hang out after the show,” Tacha said.

    Though Tacha’s disqualification was as a result of physical violence on Mercy during a heated argument, Tacha says Mercy was a ‘super amazing human being.’

  • Mercy wins BB Naija’s N30m, SUV

    THE house was closed, the game over last night and the top prize awarded after 91 days.

    About 240 million votes were recorded. At the end, Mercy Eke got 41.77 per cent votes to win the diadem.

    The 26-year-old beat other contestants to claim N30million cash prize and a brand new Innoson SUV worth N25million.

    Other prizes are a Dubai trip for two packaged by Travlbeta, electronic supplies by Scanfrost, one year supply of Pepsi, Indomie and Munchit as well as Oppo phones.

    There are also two VIP tickets to watch the UEFA Champions League final, courtesy of Bet9ja.

    Mercy beat four other finalists in the Season Four of the reality TV show. She edged out Mike, Frodd, Omashola and Seyi

    Fellow housemate, Ike, with whom Mercy had a relationship while in the house, walked up to the podium to kiss her after she was announced the winner. Mike is the first runner-up; Frodd is the second.

    Twenty-six housemates participated in the fourth edition of the show tagged: Pepper Dem.

    Mercy, a video vixen and Lagos businesswoman, said she loved cooking, swimming, travelling and dancing.

    She also revealed that even if she had a million dollars in her account, she would still be in the BB Naija game.

    “I want the fame,” she said. “The popularity is very important for my business.”

    Earlier in the evening, Mike won N2million for making the best time in Friday night arena games all through the 14 weeks.

    In the final moments of the show, the five finalists sat in the lounge were upbeat but tension-soaked as they waited for the final eviction to be announced by the host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

    They chatted about what to expect from Big Brother, listening and singing along to music, probably as a means to ease tension.

    Omashola wore a lace top with a wrapper (Niger Delta style) and a black hat to match.

    Frodd wore the Igbo Isiagu top over black trousers and wore the traditional red cap.

    Mike sported a blue suit over a white shirt which was loosely buttoned and donned dark glasses, a hat and held his cigar.

    Mercy, the last woman standing, wore a tight-fitting white dress which exposed her back. And Seyi, seated in the Head of House chair, wore a white top and pants with his dark glasses to match.

    Ebuka did not keep them waiting for long. At 7:54 pm, Seyi was evicted. She came fifth. With a sip from his drink and hugs from the others, Seyi left the house.

    Evicted afterwards was Omashola and with a smile, hugs and shouts of ‘Warri’, his signature, he left the house in the fourth position.

    To douse the tension, Frodd suggested that he and Mike took a drink. Later, Frodd got pressed and had to use the rest-room while Mercy announced: “Now, I’m cold. My hands are freezing,” while she and Mike pranced around the lounge, dancing. Frodd urged Mike and Mercy to drink.

    The 26-year-old video vixen Mercy Eke has broken the #BBNaija jinx to emerge as the winner of Big Brother Naija season four.

    She is the first woman to win the coveted BBNaija reality TV show prize.

    As the winner of the Big Brother Naija 2019 grand finale prize, Mercy Eke is going home with prizes worth N60m. However, not everything is cash.

    Mercy won the BBNaija show with 41.77%

    According to the organisers of Big Brother Nigeria reality show, MultiChoice Nigeria, Mercy will collect a cash prize of N30million and an SUV from Innoson Motors.

    She has also won a trip to Dubai for two packaged by TravelBeta; a home make-over courtesy Scanfrost; a year’s supply of Pepsi and One Africa Fest VVIP experience; a year’s supply of Indomie Noodles and Munch It; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.

    She also has won two VIP Tickets to watch a European Football final game live, courtesy BET9ja.

    The winner of the previous edition was Miracle Ikechukwu Igbokwe, who got N45m worth of prizes.

    On the 30th of June 2019, ‘Omashola’ with his full name as Omashola Kola Oburoh was unveiled as one of the 21 Housemates of the 2019 Big Brother Naija show.

    Early on in the show, he formed a strong chemistry with fellow housemate Isilomo, and he also trended on social media after he was spotted swimming in a Jacuzzi.

    From his funny reactions to events, to his regular hot gist and then his “Warri street!” mantra, Omashola can be described as everybody’s guy.

    The Delta-born housemate spoke majorly in pidgin English during his sojourn in the house.

    Omashola making the final five cannot be described as being lucky, rather it has been because of his die-hard fans who have been voting painstakingly to keep him in the house till the final day.

    No doubt about it, the Warri guy was seen almost everywhere with almost everybody in the House. Since stepping into the House, he has made a mark as the Housemate who has mingled the most, even though he remains single. Also, he could have got lucky with Venita too, but he could not control his love at first sight.

    Like every other member of the Pepper Dem Gang, Omashola had his own time of anger in the House. If we have forgotten other fiery moments he has been involved in, we really can’t forget his outburst after is coins were stolen. His “I no dey okay o!” is still fresh in our memories.

    Mercy a.k.a. Lambo is the last woman standing among the BBNaija Pepper Dem housemates.

    She is to compete for the N60million worth of prizes alongside fellow male housemates Frodd, Seyi, Mike and Omashola.

    Mercy’s time in the house so far has not been without drama particularly the moment when she had to be physically restrained during a row with disqualified housemate, Tacha.

    The show, which kicked off with 21 housemates, later welcomed additional 5 housemates as it progressed. Following weeks of nominations and evictions, only five housemates – Mercy, Frodd, Seyi, Mike and Omashola – remain Biggie’s tenants till this weekend.
