    Singer Bella Shmurda honours MohBad with customised pendant

    Popular singer Bella Shmurda has gone the extra lengths to mourn his close friend and colleague, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad by immortalising his memories with a customised diamond pendant.

    Since the untimely death of MohBad, Bella Shmurda has been in the fight for justice.

    Taking to his Instagram story page to share how he intends to carry on the memory of his late friend, the singer acquired a diamond pendant with the face of MohBad.

    Written on the back of the diamond-encrusted piece of jewellery is the name of his friend, date of birth and his death date, accompanied by a short note.

    “RIP Mohbad. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba 8 June 1996 – 12 September 2023. Imole, Legends never die,” the words read.

    Former housemates of Big Brother Naija, Tolanibaj and Christy O have dragged themselves on social media media over alleged infidelity brouhaha.

    The rift started after Tolanibaj responded to a post Christy O in July where she alleged that Farm City, a lounge in the Lekki area of Lagos, was Tolanibaj’s “hustling spot”.

    Months later, Tolanibaj replied to the post using the allegation of Christy O sleeping with Kess, noting that she would continue to get exposed.

    Tolanibaj wrote: “You will continue to get exposed and self destruct for this narrative you cooked about me. You see how quick karma came? This is just the beginning.”

    Christy O then replied to Tolanibaj’s post, telling her to “shut up”.

    “Stfu … B*tch,” she wrote.

    Tolanibaj once again replied to Christy O’s post, saying her clap back was “lazy and weak”.

    “What a lazy and weak clap back. Ode oshi Anyways she’s back online.. Drag her for FILTH!” she posted.

    Christy O was accused of sleeping with her colleague Kess by the latter’s wife Della over the weekend.

    Kess however debunked her allegation, claiming Della stole N1.5 million from him.

    Renowned American socialite and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian has revealed how hard it has been for her as a single mother of four following the split from her husband, Kanye West.

    Kim praised her sister Khloe’s ex-partner Tristan Thompson for “stepping up” to help her.

    The mother of four made the revelations during this week’s episode of The Kardashians and despite Khloe and Tristan splitting, Kim defended Tristan.

    Thompson has been heavily criticised for cheating on Khloe Kardashian multiple times while they were together.

    The exes are currently co-parenting five-year-old daughter True and one-year-old son Tatum.

    Defending Tristan, Kim said: “Oh, I know guys are gonna hate me for this and you’re gonna hate us and you’re gonna think Khloe is whatever… It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like Dad… but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend,’ Kim said.

    “So it’s like you wanna obviously like hate him for that. Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was, like so f***ed up.

    “We’ve had our talks about it and we’ve had our fights about it and we’ve had our arguments about it,’ she added, before going on to defend him.

    “But he’s also shown so many decent things and just has been a really good person and friend. When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up.”

    She added that Tristan, “started showing up to (her children’s) games, picked Saint up, takes them to dinner, and will always come to my defense, especially if it’s stuff with like me and my ex.”

    Controversial hip hop artist, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, has gifted his new signee, ‘Abuga’ Mazuki-Hamadu a Mercedes Benz car.

    Portable ‘unleashed’ Abuga to the world with the release of their joint track, ‘Alimi’ in honour of late Mohbad.

    In the song titled, “Alimi”, the self-styled ‘Wahala’ musician eulogised the late rapper while hinting at the problems he battled during his lifetime.

    Kizz Daniel, Asake, Chike explain decision to join Glo ambassadors

    The three Afrobeats stars, Kizz Daniel, Asake, and Chike, who recently became  Glo ambassadors, have explained  on the reason behind inking the deals.

    Asake said joining other Glo ambassadors had been a childhood dream.

    “It’s a great feeling becoming a Glo ambassador. I remember when I was growing up and going to school on the Island, I would see the big billboards of Glo ambassadors and I would wonder when my time would come. I had longed for it and thank God the dream came through,” he said.

    Asake’s story is similar to Chike’s. Chike said he had always hoped that he got signed to Glo as an ambassador and “it’s a great feeling joining the long list of ambassadors.”

     He said: “You know when I got into the industry and things weren’t happening at that time, I would see all these big names on Glo and I would wonder when my time would come. On my way to signing the deal with Glo, I remembered all those times and smiled that God’s time is the right time. It’s a good feeling being an ambassador,” Chike said.

    Buga star Kizz Daniel believes Glo’s platform is an enviable height that most Nigerian entertainers strive to be on.

    For him joining the list of ambassadors comes with a feeling of delight and he hopes to make his impact felt with the brand.

     At the signing of the three Afrobeats stars on September 29, Globacom noted that the announcement of the three brand ambassadors was part of its celebration of Glo’s 20th anniversary.

    A statement from Globacom further said it appointed the new ambassadors to project the power of youths and how much they could achieve with the right focus, passion and dedication that come from seeing others who have succeeded.

    “This is very much part of our tradition as we believe the strength of a nation lies in the ability and potentials of its youth. The engagement of these three stars as ambassadors is meant to project the best Nigerians as models for younger people who are tirelessly aspiring to succeed.     Funke Akindele has returned with a new drama series that will make its debut on Amazon Prime video, She Must Be Obeyed.

    Continuing in its tradition of providing enlivening content, the streaming platform in its latest offering unveiled the much-talked about mini-series entitled in a private screening.

    The preview event had many actors and actresses at the Filmhouse Imax, Lekki.

    Those spotted included lead character Funke Akindele, Lateef Adedimeji, Nancy Isime, Akah Anani, Patience Ozokwo, Mike Ezuronye, and Rachael Okonkwo, among others.

    On the film, Akindele said: “I will not let the cat out of the bag but She Must Be Obeyed is all about a character called She and how she wants to remain on the top not minding whoever is hurt, not minding who is trampled upon.”

    “The film centres on the competition in the entertainment industry and the music industry; and we decided to work on Afrobeat, you know Afrobeat is from Africa, from Nigeria and we have to explore what we have. They are very hungry to be seen. They want to showcase their talents, unfortunately they do not study their contract; they do not get a lawyer, or families that are experienced to educate them. All these things affect them; and at the end of the day, they sign the wrong contract. All these and more you would get to see in the series.”

    Amazon Prime Video expressed that the series offers a window into the lives of three successful music stars, unveiling the cut-throat rivalries and backstabbing activities.

    Famous Afrobeats Festival, Afro Nation, has announced headliners and some of the performing acts for its anticipated Nigerian debut.

    The two-day festival, which is set to hold between December 19 and 20, at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, will feature performances by Burna Boy, J Hus, Flavour, Seyi Vibes and Black Sheriff.

    With the promise to be a historic celebration of culture, music, and unity, the show is set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos, the beating heart and cultural powerhouse of West Africa.

    Having headlined Afro Nation Festivals around the world since the first event in 2019, this full circle moment holds more significance, and will see Burna Boy round off a victory lap of a year in Lagos.

     According to a statement from Afro Nation, more line up announcements are coming as anticipation builds for the show.

    In  preparation for its 20th anniversary celebrations, Africa Magic has taken a new look.

    Africa Magic has unveiled a new brand logo and identity colours for each of its seven channels.

    The new look was unveiled on October 1.

    Commenting on the initiative, Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice West Africa, Dr. Busola Tejumola, said changes to Africa Magic channels represented the beauty, spirit, peculiarity, and diversity of cultures on the African Continent.

     “As part of Africa Magic’s 20th anniversary celebrations, we are unveiling a new Africa Magic logo with unique colours for each of the seven Africa Magic channels available on DStv and GOtv.
