Soma said: “I got a strike in the house before I go further, I’d like to apologise for the outlook. I would never hurt Angel or any lady, I am a perfect gentleman. But sometimes when our emotions and frustrations get high, plus being in the house makes you crazy and out of character, and some stuff you won’t do on a normal day in the real world.”

He continued saying that despite how abysmal the confrontation with Angel appeared to be, he loves and respects women and that he is not an abuser.

“I am not an abuser, I have never hurt a lady, I love women and I stand up for women. If you notice, half of the time in the house I was always shouting ‘girl power’. So yeah, I’m all for women and that’s something that I’d love for people to understand,” Soma clarified.

  • Men submit to God, women submit to your husbands – Solomon Buchi

Men submit to God, women submit to your husbands – Solomon Buchi

Popular relationship expert and writer Solomon Buchi has taken a swipe at submission in marriage.

His tweet, which stated that submission isn’t mutual in marriage, stirred a lot of reactions on social media.

Buchi stated it was not God’s plan as God created men to submit to him and women to submit to men.

His tweet generated a lot of reactions with some pellet siding with him and others countering his claim.

Solomon Buchi tweeted: “Submission in marriage is not mutual. A Christian man was not instructed to submit to his wife. In our egalitarian desire to equalize concepts, we twist scripture. A man submits to God and his wife submits to him. The concept of mutual submission is modern and wrong.

“I know you’re already feisty, but listen. Concepts don’t have to be two extremes to be valid – just because a Christian man doesn’t submit to his wife doesn’t mean he shouldn’t listen to her, consider her opinions, and make decisions that include her.

“A good leader should be sound enough to listen to his followers, but because he listens to his followers doesn’t mean he is submitted to them. It is a modern day skew to insert equality into the fraction. The power dynamic in Christian marriage is not equal, but it’s fair.

“Look at this: a man should be submitted to God, then you submit to him. Invariably, your safety is in his submission to God, because a God-led man will never be a torn in your flesh.

“Again, it’s not equal in expression, but it’s equitable in purpose.

“I know the scriptures you want to rebuff me with, but it is popularly misinterpreted.

“Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ.” Ephesians 5:21/22.

“That verse was addressed to the church – it is our responsibility to serve one another.

“In some translations, the subheading change at verse 22 to show a change in the audience to Christian families. If you’re adamant to consider that, why then is there a clear instruction to wives to submit to their husbands in v22?

“Descriptively, Paul even juxtaposes the man’s headship in marriage over his wife to Christ’s headship over the church. The church is submitted to Christ, but Christ does not submit to the Christ.

“I think that as young Christians, we try to justify our egalitarian beliefs with the scripture.

“We want to make God look more fair and just, just to appeal to modern people. It is sad, and I wish we understood that we can’t improve God’s word, because it never gets antiquated.”

Support your favorite housemate peacefully, Kiddwaya tells fans

Evicted Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate Kiddwaya has penned a lengthy note to lovers of the reality show on how their behaviour affects their favourite housemate most times.

Kiddwaya asked them to support and hype their favourite housemate in peace without having to incite other housemates thereby pitching them against each other.

He added that fans are making the celebrities become enemies with each other.

    He wrote: “ATTENTION ‼

“Why can’t you support your people in peace. You’re giving them false hope and making them bigger than they actually are. Life will humble them very quickly. Instead of you hyping them up and supporting their businesses you’re putting them up against their colleagues that can change their lives or at least add to it. All in the name of big brother.

“Do you know how many of them feel the need to do things behind their fans back because they are worried of the backlash. The majority cannot even live in peace without the fear of being dragged. Why do you think a lot of them don’t last long in the industry. Mental health is real! Making money is hard, its not by engagements but relationships. For me it’s all cruise because I no say I get. But for the ones who are coming up they need every help that’s out there not for you to be creating enemies that are not there. Now by default they must adopt those enemies you the fans have created for them

“A lot of people and businesses don’t want to mix with bbn because of the toxic fans and toxic blogs surrounding the show and the only people you are truly damaging are the people you claim to support. Sha. The next big brother is around the corner so i guess you can pick a new fav to fuck up. To my colleagues. Use your head wisely and don’t follow the narrative they create for you.”
