    Kiddwaya stated this on Tuesday while speaking with Biggie during his first diary session.

    He was explaining to Biggie why he nominated Ilebaye for eviction on Sunday.

    Kiddwaya said: “Ilebaye is like a red meat in the midst of lions.”

    Kiddwaya and other Big Brother Naija All Stars housemates nominated each other on Monday for possible eviction on Sunday according to Biggie’s instruction.

    The nomination process took place shortly after Adekunle emerged as the first Head of House of Season 8 All Stars.

    Popular music producer, singer and instrumentalist Paul Play I.K Dairo has made it known and clear to his numerous fans that he has never stopped making music.

     This is coming after Paul Play’s fans probed if he is still in the business of music making.

     Obviously miffed by the incessant question, the trained mechanical engineer and songwriter  and producer took to his social media accounts to lay to rest that question.

     He said: “People are asking me if I stopped releasing music when they never bothered  to look at  my page to find out. I mean, I’m tired of answering such questions. Go on my social media first.

     If you are truly a fan not a wakapass, you will be curious enough to know if I’ve totally gone quiet or I’m  still doing my thing. It’s obvious that I took a pause from the mainstream but I never stopped playing music or even doing shows and private parties.

     I have been releasing singles but not EPs or albums.”

     The incredible run that saw Burna Boy sell out major stadiums in Europe and America, was officially brought to an end with an announcement by the singer in the early hours of Tuesday, May 25.

    “Love Damini Stadium Tour is Officially Over! Thank you to everyone that supported me and supported this tour. It means the World To Me. I appreciate you all! Till the Next One!” he tweeted.

     The Grammy award winning singer, who began the tour of major cities of the world on July 17 in Barbados, had an incredible tour that saw him setting himself far apart from his colleagues and peers.

     He made several historic moments from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to selling out and performing at the 60,000 capacity London Stadium, and the 40,000 capacity New York’s Citi Field. The tour also saw performing at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater in Detroit, and making stops in Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Montreal and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

     To the excitement of his fans, the ‘African Giant’ further announced that he would be officially releasing a new song on Friday, July 28.

     King, who became popular for her role in Tajudeen Adepetu created TV series ‘Everyday People’ turned 60 and took out time to express her gratitude to God in an emotional message on all her social media handles.

     She wrote, “60! My best years just began! I am of a chosen generation, I am of a royal priesthood, I am of a holy nation, God’s special possession, I shine like the jewel of a crown.

    We’ll make history with The Drum festival in Canada, says Akanni

    Segun Akanni, the convener of the Drum Festival (Ayan-Agalu Festival) in Canada has said that all is set for the cultural fiesta’s maiden edition.

     With the maiden edition scheduled to be held in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Akanni promised to make history.

     Speaking with reporters, Akanni said the richness of African culture in drums, music, dance and other displays will be showcased during the festival. 

     He said that there will be a series of side-attractions during the festival as tourists and visitors will be entertained and exposed to the rich African cultural heritage.

    Youth Educational Film Festival (YEFF) held an acting audition and filmmaking training at the Nasarawa State University.

     The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s event had a large turnout of students aspiring to be actors.

     The event was in collaboration with I am the Future of Nigeria Youth Initiative and Abuja Film Village.

     According to the organisers, the event aims at providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and learn from seasoned professionals in the industry while also offering an opportunity for the participants to learn and to produce films that will be featured at the Youth Educational Film Festival slated to hold at the International Conference Center, Abuja on September 1 and September 2, 2023.

     The organisers also paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University, who was represented by Professor Abdullahi Modibbo, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) of the university. During the visit, the partners appreciated the university for availing their students the opportunity to acquire practical skills in line with what they learn in class. They also discussed the importance of partnerships between the industry and academia in developing the arts and ensuring that young talents are provided with the necessary resources and opportunities to succeed.

    American-based guitarist and singer Seun Marcus aka Faaji Ambassador is set to release his fourth studio album.

     The album, according to Marcus, will be released in Nigeria and the United States of America before the end of the year.

     Apart from the album release, the Juju musician has said that he will also record a promotional video of the album.

     Marcus honed his musical abilities under the tutelage of legends that include Dr.Victor  Olaiya, I.K.Dairo, Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, and Admiral Dele Abiodun.

     Seun, who is credited to have played the lead guitar in I.K.Dairo’s popular song ‘Erora feso jaiye,’ in 1987, went solo in 1989 and released an album entitled ‘Glory to Glory.’

    Famous comedian, Muhammadu Bashir Abdulai aka Father DMW, has recounted how he disguised a woman to escape death from his Maiduguri hometown to avoid being initiated into the Boko Haram terrorist group.

    He said the terrorists were on a full move forcing and arming young men to join their group but he escaped after disguising as a lady in a hijab.

    Father DMW disclosed this in a recent interview with Vanzu TV.

    The Instagram celebrity said the terrorists killed any young man who refused to join the sect and if anyone was caught trying to flee in pretense of a lady, he will be slaughtered.

    Father DMW said, on getting to Lagos, he became a bike rider and his fame came through famous singer, Davido, who he ran errands for.

    Speaking in Pidgin English, he said: “Boko Haram dem go and kill everybody. Like me, if dem see me, they just give me gun, if I never follow them, they will now start to kill me.

    “When they entered, I wear hijab like woman. Do make up, put breasts, y*nsh, everything to escape. Because if they know say you be man, if dem commot that hijab, no be shoot dem go shoot you o, na knife dem go cut you.”
