He recounted their reactions to seeing him on TV set while he was away filming.

The movie director and producer, who fathers a twin, a boy and a girl, recalled how they broke his television sets on several occasions while trying to hug him after spotting him on the screen.

“Let me give you two scenarios and what happened. There was a time, when they were a bit younger, about three or so; I was off to a location and I was filming.

“They showed me on TV and they saw me; so they rushed to the TV. They actually climbed the shelf and they were pulling the TV and screaming, “Daddy! Daddy!”

“They pulled down the TV from the shelf and spoilt the TV and that happened a couple of times. Anytime they saw me on TV, they wanted to embrace the TV and they ended up bringing down the TV from the rack or wall.

“That was it growing up but now, they understand that we’re shooting movies and they think differently.”

‘Facial stroke’ kept me away from acting – Chidi Mokeme

Veteran actor Chidi Mokeme has opened up on why he was away from the scene for a long tim

He said he couldn’t act because of a rare health condition that manifested like a facial stroke.
The star actor of the blockbuster movie ‘Shanty Town’ explained he was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face.

He made this known on Channels Television’s ‘Rubbin Minds’ at the weekend.

According to him: “Yeah, I have been off the scene for a while after we did the promotional tour for ‘76 and we went to the Toronto International Film Festival.
“I will say something that I haven’t actually said somewhere else because after that, as we were preparing to go to the UK for the British International Film Festival, I came down with something called Bell’s Palsy, it was the first time I was hearing it.

“Bell’s Palsy comes like a stroke and it’s something that affects one side of your face and sort of gives you a droop. It was something that the doctors felt was incurable because they didn’t know what causes it and they didn’t know how to treat it.

“So, as an actor, if you come down with something that affects your face, you can imagine what I must have been going through at that time.”

“I thought it was something I could move around with, I tried to come for the Lagos premiere of 76 at the time but the attention was sort of focused on the face rather than the premiere.

“Then I knew it was not something that I could work with. I will take time off to try and sort out that problem. So in the meantime, I just focused on doing my other business.”

Don’t approach me for relationship if you’re below 40 – Chigul

Actress Chioma Omeruah aka Chigul has sounded a note of warning to suitors below 40.

Discussing her dating age preference with media personality, Toke Makinwa on her podcast, ‘Tokemoments’, the comedic act said she gets the feeling of cockroaches in her belly when younger guys 40 slide into her DM to woo her.

“Your own, they gave you butterflies. Mine they gave me cockroaches. I’m like, ‘What the hell do you want from me, Satan?’ I can’t no more because, I don’t know. I say, ‘Uncle why?’ ‘Oh I like you’. Don’t like me. Just slide out of my DM. Close the DM. Tell Instagram to off your mic.

“My groove has died. It doesn’t want to come back. Leave us alone! If you are not 40, look! Even 40 sef. Look I tried. They said try younger man, I did. And it was not a good idea. Neither was it a good idea and it ‘ideaed’ out. I said I’m not doing,” she said.
