    BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem” winner Mercy Eke has expressed love for individuals who shade her behind her back.

    According to her, her love for backbiters springs from the fact that they say awful things about her behind her back, exactly where they belong.

    “I love people who throw shades behind my back. That’s exactly where they belong, behind my back,” she said.

    Her post follows a recent call out by an online user for allegedly reducing her age.

    Mercy posted her Personal Voters Card (PVC), urging people to go and get theirs so they can perform their civic obligation on election day.

    However, a social media user used her details to deduce she was 32 despite celebrating her 29th birthday on September 2022.

    He advised Eke to quit with the ‘football age’ and embrace her reality with pride.

    As such, she trended online the previous day with the online community divided as some supported her for adopting ‘football age’, arguing it was a common thing among celebrities.

    BBTitans: 19 housemates nominated for eviction in week one

    Nineteen housemates have been put up for possible eviction in the first week of the ongoing Big Brother Titans, which kicked off on Sunday night.

    The nominated housemates for eviction will be relying on fans and viewers” votes to remain in the BBTitans house situated in South Africa. The first eviction, according to Biggie, is scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 2023.

    In all, 15 housemates got on the nomination list but some housemates had more nominations than others. 

    Leading the nomination list is Nigeria’s Nana from Kaduna with eight nominations. She’s followed by South African Justin with five nominations, Khosi, Olivia, and Yemi Craigx with four nominations each, Tsatsii, JayPee, Lukay, and Jenni O with two nominations each. BlaqBoi, Yaya, Kanaga Jr, Marvin, and Nelisa all got one nomination each. 

    However, six housemates weren’t nominated for possible eviction and they include Ipeleng, Yvonne, Ebubu, Juicy Jay, Thabang and Mmeli. 

    In the same vein, Biggie announced that the names of nominated housemates won’t be revealed until Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the first live eviction show. Similarly, the first Head of House Mmeli was is yet to use his Veto power to save and replace.

    Big Brother gave the Big Brother Titans housemates their first task of the season.

    While bonding and chatting, Yemi Cregx was called to the diary room to receive a task brief on behalf of the whole house.

    Biggie said: “Housemates, Today is the first time you will wager your weekly allowance. Base your wager on how confident you feel at being able to complete this week’s task successfully.

    “This week, Big Brother expects you all to get to know each other and express yourself by singing/rapping a song that will give others a glimpse of who you are. Big Brother will provide you with writing tools for your task. Housemates need to decide as a household whether or not the challenges can be passed this week.

    “You may wager 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of your bb tokens shopping allowance. Should you win your tasks, the percentage will be added to your budget. If you lose, the percentage will be deducted. Make sure you are all in agreement and send a representative to the Diary Room to lay your wager.”

    After the read, Big Brother prompted the housemates to deliberate on their stake and revealed the week’s theme, “Here I am, who am I.”

    Upon reaching a common consensus, Yemi Cregx told Biggie that the housemates were willing to stake 75% of the wager.

    BBTitans: Mmeli has emerged first Head Of House of maiden edition

    Twenty-four-year-old model and content creator Mmeli has emerged the first Head of the BBTitans Zikhayala Wahala edition House.

    Mmeli emerged after all the 20 housemates gathered at the arena for the ‘Head of House’ game on the first official day of the game.

    As requested by Biggie, Mmeli chose law student Ipeleng to be his deputy.

    Khozi emerged the first tail of House for the maiden edition of BBTitans. She was rewarded with a tail that must be worn throughout the week.

    It was a game of art design with instructions to determine the first HoH in the BBTitans Zikhayala Wahala edition. Each of the housemates had an allotted time to replicate the design using cardboard.

    The housemates were divided into two – 10 male and 10 female. The female took turns in participating in the HoH game at the kick-off and Olivia from Nigeria came first while Jenni O came second to qualify for the second round.

    The two Nigerians edged five South African and three Nigerian female housemates out of the game. For the male team, Mmeli came first and Lukay came second to qualify for the second round. 

    The two South Africans edged five Nigerians and three South African male housemates out of the game.

    For the second round, Olivia, Jenni O, Mmeli, and Lukay entered a dice-throwing game and the housemate with the highest number tallies won the competition.

    Biggie further threw a twist into the game by ensuring the finalists rolled the dice simultaneously and only once. Mmeli got six, Jenni O got two, Olivia got five and Lukay got six.

    Mmeli eventually won the game and has immunity from the first eviction. However, the HoH will use his veto power to save one housemate, who was nominated for eviction on Sunday.

    Biggie also encouraged the housemates to beg HoH to save them from eviction.

    With this development, Mmeli makes history as the first HoH in the history of BBTitans and heads the House into the first week’s task and activities.

    Jaypee made this revelation during a chat with other housemates while introducing herself.

    Ryan Taylor, the fiancé of popular disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has sparked outrage after pulling out of a boxing match in the first round.

    The Youtube star had gone head-to-head with Brandon Scott, aka Swarmz, at the OVO Arena in Wembley.

    Swarmz’s first jab a few minutes into the first round left Taylor, 29, with swelling so bad that the referee deemed him unable to continue.

    Post-fight, Taylor’s eye began to swell up badly, with many suspecting that he had broken his orbital bone.

    Taking to his Instagram story after the match, the amateur boxer stated that he immediately lost his sight after the punch, which informed his decision to quit.

    Seeing how her hubby fared during the show’s premiere last night, Cynthia took to her Twitter page to hail him for his professionalism despite being terribly under the weather.

    “Who would have thought Ebuka is extremely sick right now… professional to the core…,” she wrote.
