But seven months after, the society woman has decided to let go of her grief to give space to progression, and this is reflecting in her business as well. The House of Maufechi fashion house, according to a source, is gradually bouncing back to life, as clients and customers were seen trooping en masse to do business.

    Former Lagos council helmsman, now a member of the House of Representatives in Ogun State, Hon Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya, has lost his mother. The late Madam Abigeal Efuseke Adekoya, breathed her last at the age of 99 on Saturday, February 20, 2016.Reliable information from the family has it that the remains of the deceased, who was until her death the Nominal Head of women in The Cathedral, Methodist Church Nigeria, Ago-Iwoye and the Iya Ijo of the church, will be committed to mother earth in a week-long activities between May 9-14, 2016.Born in July 1917, the deceased lived through the two world wars.

    She bore 14 children, two of whom survived. A successful trader and community leader; she was said to have excelled as a bridge builder and advocate for broad-based community development. Her social work in Ago-Iwoye and its environs earned her accolades from within and outside her community. Mama’s experiences prepared her for a stoic approach to life, while her mantra to her children was “Stand firm and fear not”. Honourable Adesegun Adekoya Abdel-Majid, who presently represents the people of Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has been neck-deep in several activities to celebrate the exit of her mother in a grand way.

The organisation also intends to create the necessary awareness that will promote innovative solutions to support rural communities in attaining self-dependence.   • Yinka Adedayo and hubby re-appear

    Death visited the home of Yinka Adedayo over two years ago and took away their only son, leaving the family knee deep in grief. Since the demise of their son, Olubunmi, the TFC boss, Yinka Adedayo and her husband have been missing from public functions. Even though the death of their son, Bunmi, was a hard reality they have been forced to live with, the couple seems determined to get back on their feet.

    They were sighted recently at the white wedding of Olatayo Odeyemi, the first daughter of Nikky Fabrics, which held at the Oriental Ball room, Victoria Island, last Saturday. It was the popular couple’s first outing in a long time, as many guests left their seats to exchange pleasantries with them. In January, the Adedayos launched ‘The Bunmi Adedayo Foundation’ in honour of their late son. Held at the Muson Centre, Lagos, the event witnessed a gathering of eminent personalities who took turns to pay glowing tributes to their deceased son. The foundation was conceived to continue to propagate Bunmi’s spirit of giving and sharing. He was said to have exhibited these traits through various charity programmes while he was the Executive Director of Tastee Fried Chicken.
