    Only a few people in the inner circle know that there’s a unique bond that ties Edo State-born top politician and socialite, Chief Osaro Onaiwu and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila together.

    Aside from their obvious successes in various spheres of life, the two share a bond as members of the Surulere Boys Club as well.

    From their youthful days till now, the two are some of the close associates who strive in different capacities to ensure the Surulere area of Lagos State is put on the global map.

    For each of their achievements, both personalities ensure that Surulere comes first and they are always proud to celebrate one another.

    Hence, it came as no surprise when Onaiwu congratulated Gbajabiamila on his appointment as President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff.

    Onaiwu, who was a Director-General of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), told those close to him that Gbajabiamila’s consistent growth and achievements don’t come as a surprise to him because every member of their Surulere Boys Club has turned out exceptional.

    On further inquiry, it was gathered that Onaiwu’s relationship with Gbajabiamila transcends over two decades.

    Some of the men, who also share the same Surulere bond with Onaiwu and Gbajabiamila include Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Olisa Agbakoba and Chike Ogeah. These men, it was gathered, rocked Surulere as youths.

    For the monarch and the entire people of Oworonsoki kingdom and its environs, the first year anniversary is expected to be as grandiose as possible. Indeed, the ceremony is being planned to surpass the coronation ceremony one year ago.

    Since he ascended the throne of his forefathers in 2021, Oba Babatunde Saliu has hit the ground running with several well-planned programmes to launch Oworonsoki into national reckoning and unarguably one of his biggest achievements in the last one year has been the relative peace in the community.
