    Nigeria’s fashion and lifestyle company, bCODE, has partnered with global sportswear brand Reebok to stock its footwear and apparel at its newly launched website and multi-brand concept store in Surulere, Lagos.

    This was made known by the company’s Commercial and Intelligence Manager, Bella Adeleke, during an interactive session with the media.

    “This partnership includes footwear for men, women and kids, and some styles by the global footwear brand rarely seen on the open market. This new partnership earmarks bCODE’s launch of its first-ever multi-brand concept store in Lagos and cements the brand as a fast-growing fashion retail business.

    Also speaking, bCODE’s CEO,  Wonuola Okoye expressed excitement with the new partnership, multi-brand store and website.

    On November 1, 2021, at exactly 2:44 pm, Lagos was shaken to its foundation as the news of an ill-fated 15-storey building under construction in Gerald road Ikoyi Lagos collapsed and killed over 40 people inside it while some survived.  It took days before some bodies were recovered due to the proactive nature of Lagos state and some private firms that donated bulldozers and life detectors. The construction firm carrying out the construction was owned by Femi Osibona, a British-born businessman, who was also in the building with his bosom friend Wale Bob Oseni. It was a tragic ending for Femi.

    The whole of Nigeria was thrown into a frenzy mood as friends, family, and associates, and business partners cried over his untimely demise. After the collapse and demise of the deceased head Honcho of Fourscore Heights Limited, Lagos State had disclosed that the other building beside the collapsed one failed the integrity test and will be demolished and the land would be forfeited to the State Government but Justice Adewunmi Oshin of the Lagos High Court had stopped the Lagos State Government from taking over and demolishing the two remaining high-rise buildings constructed by Fourscore Heights Limited in Ikoyi. The judge also ordered all parties in the suit to maintain the status quo pending the hearing and determination of a suit filed by 15 subscribers in the high-rise buildings. On Tuesday, November 1, in commemoration of the one-year remembrance of Femi’s demise, friends, family, and associates took to their social media platform to remember and celebrate the deceased as they also pray for him to find eternal rest in the bosom of his creator.

The funds will be disbursed in partnership with the Nigeria Cancer Society to support indigent cancer patients and scientific research to advance cancer care in Nigeria.

    This fund will help to increase access to clinical cancer care services following diagnosis in Nigeria and advance the quality of cancer care through indigenous scientific research. The fund will also support scientific research led by Nigerian scientists to advance the quality of cancer care management in Nigeria and on the African continent.

    Bagudu disclosed that the growing number of cancer cases across Nigeria and barriers to treatment services gave birth to this partnership. Cancer treatment, which includes surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, is vital to the curative management of most cancers.
