Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT) and Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association (ACCOMORAN) have declared their commitment to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
They said they were spurred by the exemplary leadership of Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The pledge was made during a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Movement for Tinubu in Ondo State, led by Coordinator Otunba Agboola Kelly, in Akure.
The two groups resolved to mobilise their members to secure a decisive victory for Tinubu, driven by their admiration for Tunji-Ojo’s transformative contributions to national governance.
Comrade Akinlolu Olumorin, representing ACCOMORAN, decried the group’s marginalisation by Ondo State Government.
“Ondo is the only state where ACCOMORAN is denied operational recognition. The government employs thugs to sell tickets to Okada riders, sidelining our members,” he said.
‘’When Otunba Agboola Kelly called for our support for President Tinubu’s re-election, we were initially sceptical, but we were inspired by the remarkable achievements of our esteemed son, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
‘’His innovative reforms as Minister of Interior have motivated us to dedicate our efforts to ensuring Tinubu’s success in 2027.’’
Similarly, Nigeria Union of Tailors has affirmed its determination to rally its members across Ondo State to deliver overwhelming support to Tinubu.
Representing thousands of tailors and motorcycle riders, NUT and ACCOMORAN are leveraging their extensive grassroots networks to drive voter engagement.
“We have implicit confidence in Tunji-Ojo’s leadership, and this has cemented our resolve to make Tinubu’s re-election a done deal.
“Our efforts signal a formidable boost to the APC’s campaign, ensuring a strong foundation for victory in 2027.”

“What we are seeing today, especially this functional international airport, is a testament to Governor Abiodun’s mission to elevate Ogun State far beyond the level he met it,” Akintunde declared.
Reflecting on his group’s political journey, Akintunde recalled their firm support for Governor Abiodun’s re-election through their former platform, DACA, ‘’which has now evolved into the Omoluwabi Political Movement.
“Governor Abiodun embodies the true Omoluwabi spirit; integrity, diligence, and service. These are the principles that define our movement and continue to guide our political engagements,” he said.
Akintunde also commended ValueJet, Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and the good people of Ogun State for their collective roles in supporting the governor to achieve this historic milestone.

Under Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), all presidential appointments into key federal positions must be confirmed by the Senate before appointees can assume office.
The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Oyo State Field Office, has launched Operation Safeguard the Road (OSGR), a nationwide initiative aimed at protecting Nigeria’s federal road infrastructure and enhancing safety for all road users.
The programme, according to the agency, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for safer, more durable, and sustainable road networks across the country.
Speaking at the event held at the Lagos–Ibadan Toll Gate, the Federal Roads Maintenance Engineer (FRME) for Oyo State, Engr. Babatunde Adepoju, described the initiative—conceived under the leadership of FERMA Managing Director, Engr. Emeka Agbasi—as a milestone in the agency’s mission to safeguard national road assets.
“We are committed to making our roads safer and more motorable by ensuring clear visibility for motorists, free-flowing drainage systems, and proper maintenance of road furniture,” Adepoju stated.
He explained that the operation would include clearing roadside vegetation, desilting blocked drains and hydraulic structures, improving traffic management, and patching potholes along key corridors in the state.
“Our roads are vital to Nigeria’s economy—they connect communities, power business activities, and serve as lifelines for social and economic development. Protecting them is a collective responsibility we owe to ourselves and the next generation,” he added.
Adepoju also revealed that the programme would provide short-term employment for over 50 local youths working along the 43-kilometre stretch currently under the project. “Their engagement has been properly documented to ensure transparency and accountability,” he said.
He thanked FERMA’s Managing Director, represented by the South West I Zonal Director, Engr. B.O. Aina, alongside representatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), for their support.
Acknowledging the challenges of maintaining Nigeria’s vast federal road network amid limited resources and rising costs, Adepoju appealed for public understanding and cooperation.
“The government is doing everything possible to improve our roads, but development takes time. Economic realities and the high cost of materials have made maintenance more difficult, yet FERMA remains committed to delivering results,” he said.
He also condemned acts of vandalism by individuals who damage newly repaired roads, particularly traders who dig potholes to slow vehicles for commercial gain.
“These roads are funded by taxpayers. Damaging them wastes public money. Protecting our infrastructure is a shared duty,” he warned.
In his remarks, Zonal Director Aina urged Nigerians to adopt a stronger maintenance culture to preserve public infrastructure.
Other stakeholders—including representatives of the Police, FRSC, NSCDC, and the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS)—commended FERMA for the initiative, describing it as “timely and proactive.”
They linked many road crashes to reckless driving and poor road habits, especially among truck and trailer drivers on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, and called for stronger collaboration and intensified public awareness to promote road safety and reduce preventable accidents.
A political support group, One Nigeria Mandate for Tinubu/Shettima Project, Ekiti chapter, has commenced extensive grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalists on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti during its inaugural meeting, The Chairman of the group, Olugbenga Kowe, said that the group is determined to strengthen public confidence and trust in President Tinubu’s administration by engaging citizens across communities.
Kowe added that the group has begun setting up structures across all 16 local government areas, with plans to appoint ward coordinators in the coming weeks to ensure the gospel of president Tinubu reaches every community.
Kowe, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Community Development, described the group as a national mobilisation platform committed to strengthening unity, citizen engagement and political awareness across the country.
He explained that beyond mobilising support for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, the initiative would also work to ensure the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Ekiti State.
He noted that the country has witnessed remarkable improvement in governance, economic management and security under President Tinubu, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda have started yielding positive results.
Kowe hailed the President’s decision to remove fuel subsidy, describing it as a bold and strategic economic reform that has expanded fiscal space for states as well as local governments to execute more developmental projects.
He said: “Every leader before now talked about removing subsidy, but it takes courage and political will to actually do it. The subsidy regime was a necessary monster. a scam that enriched a few Nigerians. President Tinubu took the bold decision, and today there’s more money circulating within the system.”

“We are confident in the leadership direction of Mr. President. His decisions are courageous, his focus is clear, and the results are becoming evident nationwide,” he said.
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has affirmed that his administration remains open to constructive criticism, emphasizing that good governance depends on transparency, accountability, and public participation.
The governor, who recently faced criticism from opposition figures accusing him of underperformance, said his government welcomes sincere feedback that can help improve service delivery.
In the past week, Isaac Fayose, younger brother to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, faulted Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, alleging that despite Ondo’s status as an oil-producing state, the administration had little to show for its federal allocations.
Fayose also described Ondo as “one of the dirtiest states” in Nigeria with “very low development.”
Speaking at a praise and worship concert in Akure, the state capital, Aiyedatiwa maintained that his administration is responsible and receptive to the people’s voices.
He reaffirmed his commitment to democratic values and policies designed to transform the socio-economic fortunes of the state.
He added that no government is perfect and called for citizens’ prayers, support, and honest feedback to enhance governance and service delivery.
“For every one of us, continue to pray for this government – not just the church alone. You are also charged to pray for all men, especially those in authority. We are open to constructive criticism.
“There are avenues where you can talk to us – you can write letters, you can engage us, and we are ready to listen. You elected us, and this is your government. God used you to install this government; you can lay claim to it. You only put me here to serve you and the service I will give to you,” the governor said.
Aiyedatiwa assured residents that his administration would continue to provide an enabling environment for businesses and individuals to thrive, adding that the state capital, Akure, remains safe for both residents and visitors.
“You can live and work here in Akure anytime of the night. Everywhere is bright. No evil will come near you because the cloud of God is here and over everyone of us,” he told the gathering.
On ongoing road projects across the state, the governor urged citizens to exercise patience, explaining that most of the construction works were delayed due to the rainy season.
“Some of the roads we are constructing were in terrible condition, and that is why we awarded them for reconstruction. It is not a microwave business that happens instantly – it will take time,” Aiyedatiwa noted.
“The contractors are on site, and we are not owing them. They will deliver at the right time. We just need patience. Where palliative work is required, we will intervene once the weather is dry so that people can still use the roads before their final completion,” he further said.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property, assuring residents that the government would not relent in its efforts to sustain peace and development across the state.
