Engaging the power of praise for the release of God’s presence!

    By Dr. David Oyedepo

Welcome to December! I believe we had diverse encounters with what it takes to enjoy a successful life all through the month of November, 2020. However, we have to keep practicing these steps and continue walking with the principles to fully actualise the glorious inheritance God has for us. This month, we shall be exploring the virtues embedded in praise as one of the most effective of all spiritual weapons at our disposal. We shall focus on the topic: Engaging the Power of Praise for the Release of God’s Presence!

We understand from Scriptures that God dwells in the midst of praise. As it is written, But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel (Psalm 22:3). When we are in praise, we are in company with God and if God be for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31). God is in praise; so when He steps into anyone’s situation; He turns it around. When God stepped into the prison, which was provoked by the praise of Paul and Silas; suddenly, the foundation of the prison was shaken and every man’s band was loosed. Scripture says, And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:25-26). Their praise provoked His stepping in and His stepping in engendered a turnaround. Thus, every time God steps in, there is a shaking.

    What then is Praise?

    • It is appreciating God for who He is: Our high rating of God causes His praise to flow from us. Praise is comely to God (Psalm 147:1). God is excited at praise; motivated by praise; moblised by praise and we can get Him cheaply with praise.
    • It is a celebration of the faithfulness and lovingkindness of God: We know that God has been good to us because it is of His mercies we are not consumed (Lamentations 3:22-23). The Psalmist says, It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night (Psalm 92:1-2).

How can we Secure God’s Presence through Praise?

    • With Singing: Scripture says, Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name (Psalm 100:4). We enter into God’s presence with singing, not with protests and complaints and then into His courts with praise. When we are praiseful, we will carry His presence 24/7. When we are praiseful, we become God-full and when we are God-full, every devil is subject to our authority.
    • By the Lifting of Our Hands to God: It is written, Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord (Psalm 134:2). The cheapest way out of every pit is to raise our hands in praise to God, then He will pull us out with those raised hands. There is a proverb that says, ‘it is a child that lifts up his hands that the adult carries and picks up’. Every climbing is done with our hands and so is every lifting made possible with our hands lifted up. Until our hands are lifted to Him in acknowledgement of His faithfulness and grace, we remain grounded.
    • With Dancing: According to Scriptures, praise does not only stop at singing, it involves much more (Psalm 149:1-5). Verse 3 says, Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp (Psalm 149:3). When we praise Him in a dance, our beauty emerges. Whatever is contrary to beauty can be danced off our lives. As we dance, God’s vengeance will come upon every ugly situation in our lives. David danced with all His might before the Lord and everything that mocked him, including his wife, came under God’s judgement (2 Samuel 6:14-23).

In conclusion, praise is what to do to secure God’s presence in any situation and when we do, whatever gives way to Him, gives way to us. However, you must be born again to secure God’s presence. If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again! • Gospel artiste Lekeleke Jesu out with Ona Iye

Gospel artiste Lekeleke Jesu out with Ona Iye

    By Gboyega Alaka

It was an afternoon of songs and praises recently, as popular gospel singer, Evangelist Ebenezer Fami aka Lekeleke Jesu, launched his newest album, titled, Ona Iye (Path to life).

According to the evangelist singer, who described himself as a full-time minister of God, the album, which is his fourth, following Omi leniyan (2010), Dada o da to isokan, and Ajeri Igbala.

Speaking exclusively with The Nation, Famisa said his inspiration as a gospel artiste and minister comes from God.

“My Inspiration comes from God almighty. Gospel comes from above; it is not something you just happen on or fabricate; so you need to calm down to get the message. It is a song/message on how to live life this present day and basically make people realise that with Jesus, all things are possible. We need to change our way of life as well as some of our orientations.”

Asked if the album is danceable or strictly for reflection purposes, Evangelist Famisa said: “It is danceable but the lyrics are the main attraction, as it seeks first and foremost to pass a message. As an evangelist of God, I am more about making people reflect on their ways and get closer to God.

On how rewarding ministering through gospel songs has been for him, Famisa said, “All reward comes from God and I believe with Him all things are possible.”

Tracing his background, Famisa said his gospel song took roots in Juju Gospel before he was inspired towards Gospel Lyrics.

Known more in the gospel music circle as Lekeleke Jesu, Famisa is a member of Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) and currently serves as protocol Officer under the chairmanship of King Segun Ajidara of Alimosho Zone 2.

Chief launcher at the colourful event held at the Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (God of Zion House of Prayer Chapel) Igando, Lagos was Hon. Jide Osakuade while Mrs Juliet Egbo as co-chief launcher.

Awode uplifts C&S Church with 250-bed hostel, 100-bed district house

Efforts to tackle the challenges of offices and accommodation for members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) at the Galilee Land Headquarters of the church, located at Orile-Igbon in Oyo State, especially during conferences and conventions, have received a boost.

This was as a well-furnished 250-bed hostel, “The Most Reverend Dr. Samuel Adefila Abidoye Hostel,” named after the Spiritual Father and Chairman of C & S Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), His Grace, The Most Reverend Dr. Samuel Adefila Abidoye; and a state-of-the-art storey building complex, “Delphine Modupe Awode Victory District House,” comprising 100-bed rooms, offices for District officials, Council Heads and District Units, were built and donated to the church.

The magnificent edifices were built and donated to the church by Senior Special Apostle Emmanuel Awode, a member of the church and the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, manufacturers of Finecoat & Shield Paints, and other allied paints products.

The Victory District House was named after Special Mother-In-Israel (Prophetess) Delphine Modupe Awode, his mother.

The official dedication of the buildings was performed during the 80th International Conference of the Church at the Galilee Land, by the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Church, His Grace, The Most Reverend Abidoye, as part of activities lined up for this year’s conference, held between Sunday, November 1 and November 8, 2020.

Apart from the church buildings, Awode also built and donated a modern Mosque to the Muslim community in Abuduka, the host community of the Galilee Land, Headquarters of the church.

Welcoming the church leaders and members, as well as other guests to the inauguration ceremony, the Victory District Secretary, Special Apostle Fasekomi, who glorified the Almighty God for the spiritual and infrastructural development of the Galilee Land, however, lauded the S/S/Ap Awode for his immense and untiring contribution to the growth of C&S Movement Church, as well as the expansion and progress of God’s work.

He, therefore, described the day as the day of joy, which the Lord has made for the entire C&S Movement Church, saying the District House and hostel would go a long way in addressing the problems of accommodation and office spaces confronting the District and the Church in particular.

While dedicating the building, Most Reverend Abidoye, who was full of praises to God Almighty, expressed gratitude to Awode for donating the buildings to the church for the progress of God’s work, saying: “We are grateful to S/S/Ap Awode for honouring his mother with this building and on behalf of the entire C&S Movement Church, I thank God for his life as he has continued to work hard not only to take the Church to greater heights, but to also propagate the work of God in all ramifications with his time and money.”

“In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I dedicate these buildings to the glory of God and the use of members of the church for the upliftment of God’s work,” he said as he cut the tape.

According to Awode, the hostel, which is well terraced, ventilated, equipped and furnished with modern facilities has a 250-bed spaces, while the Victory District House, has a five-bedroom apartment in the upper floor with executive beds, well-furnished Living Room for women, and the ground floor with offices and room facilities for men.

Meanwhile, in her remarks, S/M/I Prophetess Modupe Awode, thanked God for the favour granted her to be alive to witness the day, even as she lauded the leaders of the church, particularly Baba Aladura and Baba Alogbo, for standing by her since the demise of her husband, Special Apostle Dickson Adekunle Awode, former Chairman of District Victory, who died two years ago.

He thanked her son, Emmanuel, for honouring and naming the building after her, describing it as a surprise gift, as she was not in the know until the project was ready to be inaugurated.

  • UI Christian Union urges believers to join politics

UI Christian Union urges believers to join politics

    By Bisi Oladele, Ibadan

The Ibadan Varsity Christian Union (IVCU) has urged members who graduated from the university in the last 60 years and other Christians to stop shunning party politics under the excuse that it is dirty.

The union, in a communique at its 60th anniversary celebration, said Christians should realise they are able to navigate through the dirty water of politics given their access to divine wisdom and empowerment by the Holy Spirit.

Signed by the union’s international President, Dr. Tunde Ajala, the communique emphasised Christians are perfect for political leadership as they will also be guided by God, adding that they will lead with compassion and love for the people.

Entitled ‘IVCU at 60: Our thoughts on the state of the nation and the way forward,’ the union said it was high time Christians took their rightful positions in political leadership in Nigeria because they are light that should not be hidden.

It said the light, which God has made them will be useless if they refuse to take hold of political leadership opportunities and demonstrate godly example of leadership to the suffering people of Nigeria.

But it emphasised that they must seek God’s guidance first on the decision to participate.

It reads in part: “ It is critically important for all Christian leaders all over Nigeria to understand that ‘the Great Commission’, more importantly at this auspicious juncture of Nigeria’s national history, entails the mandate for Christians to step out, with the support of the church, into the arena of politics and public governance. Who is more qualified than well-trained and fully-supported Christians to take the reins of power, nationally and locally, and therewith reform public life with divine righteousness and competencies.

“To counter obvious threats to Nigeria’s priceless national unity and integrity, Christian leaders with ‘demographic’ authority must immediately receive divine wisdom to rightly vector their authority, after duly seeking and obtaining divine guidance, into organizing democratic access for heaven anointed believers into public power via the wise route of meaningful registered political parties. It is better late and determined, than never.

“Christian leaders must understand that the commitment to obey the political aspect of the Great Commission, is a long-term commitment which must be engaged with calculated godly caution using our best and brightest resources to lay out the engagement plan replete with Contingency and Redundancy Clauses; in full remembrance of the word of Christ to be “as gentle as doves, but as wise as serpents.”

“It is contrary to divine wisdom for us as Christians to have ‘democratic’ clout and refuse to use it in the fear that the public arena is too dirty for Christians. If the public arena was not too dirty for David and Daniel, it surely is not too dirty for us now in 21st Century Nigeria.

“By history and prophecy, the house of IVCU has a major role to play vis-avis Nigeria’s destiny. It is no coincidence that in 1960, as Nigeria broke the burden of Colonialism, embraced the path of Freedom and legally asserted its own Manifest Destiny as an Independent Nation in the comity of nations, the IVCU started in UI.

“It is no coincidence that today, IVCU Alumni members pervade every sphere of influence in Nigeria and beyond. The Lord has prepared us for this time.”

The IVCU also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to work harder in riding the country of terrorists and also heed the call for restructuring.

  • Possessing the gates of the enemies (2)

Possessing the gates of the enemies (2)

    By Bishop Taiwo Akinola

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure ….. think on these things ~ Philippians 4:8.

Introduction: It is quintessential to biblical Christianity that we all become exact in the spiritual art of warring and possessing the gates of our enemies. And, as pointed out in the immediate past edition of this column, the believer must govern his mind in a military way against the brute forces of negative thoughts, negative imaginations and fear. By all means, we must keep Satan out of the lobes of our minds.

The reason for this is not far-fetched. One major instrument Satan uses to erect his fortresses, and hence entrench himself in the lives of men, is negative thoughts. Negative thoughts remove happiness, and release negative emotions such as worry, depression, fear and so on. And, when fear comes, all doors of goodness are shut (John 20:19).

Contrariwise, positive thoughts generate positive emotions such as courage, excitement, joy, faith and timeless victory. Furthermore, real peace precipitates on good thoughts and it generates an emotional state of mind where nothing is missing or broken irreparably.

In particular, thoughts that are hinged on the Word of God have both power and capability to subdue all forms of negative thoughts if we give it a right of way in our heart (Romans 8:6).

It is all-time important, therefore, that we embrace the truth of God’s Word to govern our emotions in order to enjoy the incredible peace that only God gives (John 14:1). And, primarily, such liberating truth is derived from a clear understanding of God’s Word and the accomplished works of Jesus Christ.

From Colossians 1:12-17, we understand that all things were created by Jesus Christ, and for Jesus Christ. This is the strong truth every member of the body of Christ should fully internalize because it is by the reason of this truth that our position of victory in Christ Jesus is firmly secured. Certainly, no one is as privileged as God’s covenant children.

Flowing from the scripture above, the following three things happen to God’s children simultaneously:

Firstly, a power is working within us that cannot submit to the devil, principalities, might, and every name that is named including such horrid names like barrenness, confusion, cancer, tribulations, debt and death. This was what Paul affirmed when he said, in Romans 8:37, ‘Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us’. This same truth is painted with sacred vividness in Ephesians 1:15-22 and Ephesians 3:10-20.

Secondly, we are raised above all things, and all things are put under our feet. This is the truth that unravels the mystery of our dominion in Christ, whereby we carry an impartation for mastery that puts all things under our control, now. And, for this fact, anything that attempts to lord it over you must be stretching its luck too far!

Thirdly, by certain mysteries of godliness, we are made to be one with Christ. We died with Christ when He died on the Cross. We were raised up with Him, and are now seated together with Him in heavenly places, far above all powers of the adversary. Yes, these mysteries are too deep to be fully comprehended by ordinary mortal minds, but they are stated facts from heaven, and are fully embraced by all well-informed believers as a mainstay of our dominion rights in Christ.

Meanwhile, without fear of stating the obvious, I must insist that we cannot afford to ignore or toy with our sacred position in dominion, because anyone that refuses to dominate will certainly be dominated upon by circumstances he may not understand and cannot control.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are called to tirelessly dominate over all adversaries until all things are put under our feet and all enemies are vanquished. But, your faith is an essential companion in your exercise of dominion. It is your faith that releases the unprecedented capabilities required to fully possess the gates of the enemies.

Exercising Faith In Possessing the Enemy’s Gate

Faith is very decisive to the results you attract in spiritual warfare. It is a spiritual virtue to live by (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17).

Real faith is an unconditional confidence in the integrity of God, and a total reliance upon His Word. It is not a head feeling, but a heart-assurance and a sure covenant anchor that ties you to covenant blessings, and does not allow you to drift away from your positions of victory, no matter the storms of life or the assaults from the gates of hell. Your faith is your sure shield in times of siege and spiritual conflict.

Whatever you’re going through at any material time – seemingly difficult or even impossible situations – hinge your faith on God as your valid insurance against shame and failure (Hebrews 10:22). You will need it in due course, please keep your faith close to your heart.

Meanwhile, your ‘faith’ is not faith unless it is the only thing you are holding on to. Your joy, boasts, enthusiasm and boldness should rest upon God and not on your possessions or personal merits.

Moreover, in whatever situation you find yourself, just hope in God. We cannot live without it, for as oxygen is to the body, hope is to the soul. Hope is also a gift like faith or love. And, since it is of God, hope enables one to find a way to make things right in spite of obstacles.

Finally, my brethren, reach out with your sword, today (2 Corinthians 6:7). Stand on your ground of salvation (1 Thessalonians 5:8). Be patient and endure as you obey the Lord (2 Timothy 2:3). Your obedience will approve you for victory any day before the Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen. Happy Sunday!

  • Engaging the power of love for supernatural breakthrough!

Engaging the power of love for supernatural breakthrough!

    Bishop David Oyedepo

WELCOME to the concluding part of this teaching! I hope you were blessed by last week teaching. This week, we shall focus on: Engaging the Power of Love for Supernatural Breakthrough!

From Scriptures, we understand that God’s breakthrough agenda covers all areas of life. As it is written, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). The second part of that scripture is referring to our redemption, the Bible says, Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified (Romans 8:30). Thus, we have all been freely justified by the blood of Jesus, but among the justified, all things are ordained to keep working together for their good. All things include: spiritual, financial, health, family, business, and career things. Therefore, we cannot suffer breakdown with the love of God burning in our hearts; His proven love makes us breakthrough personalities. God cannot prosper a man that has no heart for Him; He checks our hearts to determine what we can successfully carry in our hands without losing our souls (Jeremiah 17:10). Furthermore, we must also understand that breakthrough will only deliver by faith, and faith will not deliver beyond the level of our love for God (Matthew 9:29). Therefore, pursuing after God and the interest of His Kingdom, which is the capital proof of our love for God, is what makes a believer a breakthrough personality.

Then, what is in Love that Engenders Supernatural Breakthrough?

    • It is the Breeding Ground for Strong Faith: Strong faith is a product of a large heart for God and it comes from unusual insight into the Word (John 15:15). Concerning Abraham, the Bible says, He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform (Romans 4:20-21). Love provides us access to unusual insight that makes strong men and enable them operate in the realm of strong faith (Deuteronomy 29:29). Thus, it is not how hard we work but how much our hearts are connected to God. With our love for God, we cannot be taken for a ride by the devil (Matthew 22:37-40).
    • It Empowers us for Delightsome and Tireless Obedience: Every provision of the Kingdom is only accessible through obedience of faith. However, it is love that empowers us to obey God in season and out of season (1 John 5:3). When we delight in obeying God, love is speaking in our inside. Abraham is a perfect example of delightsome obedience. At seventy-five, God told him to leave his father’s house and without knowing where he was going, he left (Genesis 12:1-4). He was a hundred years old when he had his son and after waiting that long, the Lord asked him to sacrifice Isaac. Without having a conversation with Sarah, he went on that journey the following morning and as a result, he secured transgenerational blessings that is still speaking today (Genesis 22:1-3). Love is like a lubricant; it empowers our obedience with uttermost ease.
    • Love makes Believers Indestructible: Love is the strongest life insurance. As it is written, And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16). When we dwell in love, we are hid in God and He is hid in us; so, we are wrapped up with God. That means, when there is something inside that wants to destroy us, God inside us will fight it and if there is anything outside, God outside will deal with it. Also, as we grow in love, we grow into the length, breadth, height, and the depth of the love of God and as such, we are filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:18-19). With the love of God at work in the lives of the three Hebrews boys, the fire had no effect on them (Daniel 3:16-28). Love is indestructible (Song of Solomon 8:6-7). One of the addicted lovers of Christ in the New Testament was Paul the Apostle, he died so many times but they did not bury him. He was lost in the deep one night and one day, but he came out and went about his business (2 Corinthians 11:25). They stoned him and left him to die, but he stood and left for his next assignment (Acts 14:19-20). Thus, when we are genuinely in love with God, we become indestructible.

In conclusion, without a heart for God, we cannot enjoy supernatural breakthrough in our endeavours. However, it is not enough to be in love; we must stay and grow in love. Therefore, to enjoy supernatural breakthrough, you must be born again. If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I know I am born again! • Those trying to divide Nigeria not youths but old people – Dachelem

Those trying to divide Nigeria not youths but old people – Dachelem

Bishop of Catholic Diocese of  Bauchi, Rt. Rev.Monsignor Hilary Nanman Dachelem,  in this interview with David Adenuga  talks about his journey into priesthood. He also bares his mind on  restructuring and neglect of youths   in the country

TELL us about your childhood experience

I was born on  June 3 1966 in Makurdi , Benue State to the family of late retired Superintendent of Police, Mr. Simon Sarka and Mrs Philomina Shakumlongep of Moedakwalla in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State, as the second of seven children (five boys, and two girls)

My  love for knowledge and desire to impact on people’s lives led me to take up a teaching appointment with the Roman Catholic Mission ( RCM) Primary School Miket , Qua’an Pan where I taught for some time while nurturing the desire to serve God in the presbyteral order.

    Call to priesthood

I have always wanted to serve God and serve him in the capacity of the priesthood. Since I was born , my parents brought me up in the Catholic tradition. In my growing up as a little child, It didn’t seem to dominate my thought, but it was after my secondary school, the whole thing started coming to me to be a priest.

Having gone to St. Peter Secondary school where I met the Catholic priests, the holy ghost fathers precisely, I was moved by the degree of their sacrifice and lifestyle and I liked it so that made me to start thinking of that lifestyle, of  sacrifice and of commitment to God.

That was how I started developing It but It was when I finished my secondary school  and attempted a few of those things that it dawn on me that I should look inward.

So I started making attempt to join any religious group of the Catholic priesthood. There I heard about the Declaration Missionaries through a convent I visited, (  where the sisters are)  through an Irish sister called sister Magdalene , she  gave me a little booklet and that booklet has the addresses of all  religious institutions in the Catholic church and I applied.

The one that gave me a favourable reply happens to be the present order I find myself, that’s the Declaration Missionary order, the order started in Spain through St Anthony that declarate  close to 200 years ago, he was the Archbishop of Cuba.

They started that group and we were supposed to be missionaries that will go to anywhere sent to work. I applied, they took me and I saw the life. In 1986 I started my journey with them. Since then I have never regretted being a declaration priest. I see the priesthood as a call to sacrifice for others. I see this as an opportunity to touch more lives,  to impact on people so I see my calling as an opportunity to do that

In 1986,  I began my  journey to the priesthood when I gained admission into the Claretian Institute of Philosophy Nekede where I  had my Postulancy and Philosophy studies.

How would you describe  your 25 years  anniversary as a priest which you recently celebrated while also   launching a book titled ‘ Youth Companion’  to mark it.

The last 25 years has been  occasioned by humanity plus divinity in the sense that  I am an ordinary human  trying to live a godly and spiritual life and you know, It has not being easy but it’s all  about the grace of God. It has being wonderful years of event, different things happening but in all I give thanks to God.

Many have accused religious leaders of being part of the rot in society for failing to give good advice to those in government? Do you agree with this?

Yes. but the thing is I  don’t like  pointing fingers because we all have our responsibilities . We have all failed collectively.

As a journalist, you know the ethics of your job, and as a priest I know the ethics too but I would say ,  we all have failed collectively in the project Nigeria, religious leaders are not exceptional. In different ways we have all contributed to the problems of  this country.

Anytime you fail to do your task, you will see the consequences but people feel it’s only the priest that should tell the truth but the truth is every person’s responsibility.

When you cover what’s not supposed to be covered , it means you’re subduing the truth and we all do that and some of us as religious leaders come from homes that have covered this things.

What do you have to say about the state of insecurity in the country?

It’s not about sitting down and playing the reaction role. I see the security issue as an issue that requires more of the proactive approach rather than the reactive approach.

We should imagine that some people way of living is to destabilize the system  but we should always find a way of aborting that . There is no room for relaxation. Like they say security is every man’s business , you must be ahead as you can not sleep with the two eyes closed  if we have to talk about security.

And the funny thing about security is that the same system you allow to crumble, and you didn’t pay attention to will also swallow you up one day.

The IGP recently  ordered the  withdrawal of police escorts from religious leaders, eminent politicians and other important persons  What is your take on this?

Yes . I agree  with that. No life is more important than the other. The life of everybody going by the rule of law is important.

Let’s create a Nigeria where everyone can move freely and peacefully whether you’re in power or not. The escort culture is rooted in fear and intimidation.  Let’s create a system that works irrespective of who is in power. Let’s create a Nigeria where everyone can move freely.

How would you rate the performance of President  Muhammadu Buhari ‘s administration in the areas of security, job creation and infrastructure so far.

Mr President has being doing his best but we have lost more lives in Buhari’s administration than any other past Presidents in Nigeria, let’s say the truth. We wouldn’t say he is the cause but that depicts the complexity of the society we have.

That also tells us that when we are looking for a President in future, we should take into cognisance  the complexity of Nigeria, the new Nigeria and  not the old Nigeria.

The present Nigeria is full of bloodbath, exploitation, and all manner of fraudulent acts like  yahoo plus. I don’t believe Buhari at 80 something will  have the dynamism to really get the intrigues that’s involved.

His health challenges has  slowed him down, let us be fair to him . The Buhari we knew before was faster and smarter than now. Another thing is to know when to quit, it’s a sign of good leadership. Many lives has being lost in this government but that doesn’t mean no live was lost in past administrations but we keep losing  more in Buhari’s tenure.

Both Christians and Muslims are  dying, security operatives are also constantly losing personnel as if it has become a tradition. We must find a way to put an end to  this death culture.

A government has to protect its citizens.  Governance is all about the coming together to establish a policy that will protect me and you and so much need to be done by this administration in the area of insecurity.

I know he has a goodwill for the country  but the issue is how can he really navigate from the analogue to the digital Nigeria. The country he ruled years before is not the same country he is facing now.

What should be done to unite Nigerians now further divided across religious and ethnic groups?

A lot needs to be done and I don’t know where to start.

Previously , they have had some constitutional conferences and serious opinions were sounded  but It is like most of the resolutions reached  have being swept under the carpet.

I think it’s high time to dust those ideas because those things were done when Nigeria was saner than how it’s now.

This question of justice, fairness and the rule of law must be addressed,  dialogue is a serious weapon and the the  Government  need to put aside sentiments. There should be an inclusive government where all ethnic groups are well represented.

There have being persistent agitations for restructuring in some quarters, do you think, this is the right way to go?

I have always had my opinion about restructuring but I feel we have to restructure our mind first, our attitude, our approach to national issues. When you talk of restructuring, what comes to people’s mind is the federation having lesser power while the states having more power, These  are some of the  understanding of people but even if we disintegrate , there will be war because our minds is not restructured.

We have to be mentally prepared for good governance.

The constitutional conference we had then may still have a solution that we have not  yet applied. We can’t get people all over the country   sit together with so much  resources spent and you just throw it away like that.

What clauses are you afraid of that cannot be addressed in the provisions.

Should priests go into politics or take up political appointments?

A priests have the right to vote and  be voted for as citizens because  the constitution give them the  right but if you want my advice, I would say , the priest who want to further the kingdom of heaven should be at the background and not engage in partisan politics because it will affect the free flow of the work of God.

What are your thoughts about the hundreds of youths who took to the streets in protest against police brutality, calling for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police?

That  has long being overdue, I expected the youths to have protested long ago. The EndSARs is only a human rights  aperture that happened to the youths , the youths have being grudging for long, let’s say the truth and they have being suppressed, neglected  and strategically disregarded in our political plans  .

There are pocket of policies here and there but we   take them(youths)  more of an appendage, we have not factorise the youths as an issue in the country and If we don’t invest in them today, they will surprise us tomorrow.

The EndSARs protest was only   an opportunity for them to express their grievances but I don’t support violence from them. They must learn from our past nationalists who fought for Nigeria’s independence and never achieved that with violence. Though I am quite aware that the protest was hijacked by hoodlums.

Many Nigerians appear to be fed up with the current state of governance in the country. Do you think Nigerian leaders have failed the youths?

I won’t say in its entirety, The government may be trying their best but when it comes to the youths who are also stakeholders in the  country there are lot of lapses.

For instance, the last youth policy that was done was in 2006 by  Obasanjo’s regime , a concise articulated one,  but it has not being implemented even halfway.

What we are saying is that  a strategic plan and strategic implementation of policy for the young persons  is important.

It’s only a nation ending towards doom that will take the youths for granted because that’s where you find the real energy to transform the nation. It’s an important stage you don’t toy with.

The youths issue must be given full attention. Until this is done, I encourage the youths  to embark on more protests as a matter of fact  but there must be no violence. It’s not enough for the President to say he has heard the youths loud and clear after the protest, he has to attend to their issues.  The youths have not being fairly treated in this country. They should be called for a dialogue where they will tell us categorically what they really want.

Do you think the end SARS protest  was meant to divide Nigeria as alleged in  some quarters?

Not at all. The youths have being aggrieved long ago. They only wanted to be straightforward.

The only thing is that there are political gladiators who wanted to take advantage of it to smuggle their agents because I know there are some people eager to divide the country. Those trying to divide this country are not the young but the old people .

Some Nigerians fear that the problem of poverty may force the poor to rise against the rich, who are in the minority, if nothing is done to address it. What are your thoughts?

Yes. I keep saying Nigerians are never to be taken for  granted. Somebody said something to me about  God loving  the poor people so much that he made them greater in number and as long as they keep suffering, time might come when they will say  enough is enough. The earlier the aristocrats of our society take cognisance of this, the better for us because most revolution in the world started this way. We should be careful anything can happen.

Like a saying by Abraham Lincoln says , ‘You can  fool some of the people some of the time, you can fool most of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time’  So I will say we should be all cautious.

Zugacoin: Bishop Sam Zuga differentiates between membership registration, presale and ICO

    Our Reporter

Archbishop Sam Zuga, the brain behind the first African Cryptocurrency, Zugacoin has shed more lights on the difference between it’s Membership registration, Presale and ICO.

According to the popular cleric also known as Archbishop Dr Sam Zuga (Jehovah’s Field Marshall), Zugacoin which is intended to be used to alleviate unemployment in Africa, also promises to be one of the most expensive currency in the world.

He likened the the processes of acquiring ZUGACOIN to that of a acquiring landed properties in an already built estate.

He said: “ZUGACOIN itself is like I built an Estate of 1million houses with water and light but not furnished. ICO (Initial Coin Offering) means, the day that I want to start selling the houses in that Estate which the price will depend on the Exchange rate on the day you want to buy. But Exchange rate of Dollar as at the time of advertising the property was $40,000 (Dollars), equivalent to N21million (Naira). But as Naira has kept falling before Dollar, the price keeps rising.”

On Presale of Zuga coin he states, “PRESALE is whoever is interested in buying any of the houses before the actual date of public sales. By this time, the actual price has been divided into 100 times less and you are paying to buy the whole flat with only one portion.”

Archbishop Sam Zuga also maintained that MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION is like when he announced that whoever that needs to reside in the estate should come with all their furniture.

“The quantity of your furniture will determine the number of rooms that would be given to you. If the quantity of your furniture is enough to fill a whole flat, you will be given a whole flat, if it’s only for one room, you will be given only one room.”

In conclusion, the philanthropic Man of God added, ” if anyone is not interested in the area to participate in any of the free or subsidized offer, the owner will sell the whole estate to one investor from any part of the world. That new owner can increase the price the way he chose or use on the purpose he likes, but will never tamper with the already occupied apartments.”

    Zugacoin’s ICO begins on 1/ 12/ 2020 as presales and membership registration closes on 30/ 11/ 2020.

Sir. Don Ezeh said that the empowerment programme will be based on individual aptitude, capacity and preferences.

He explained that the ICT training will be followed by other life skills development programmes, which will include computer servicing, video & photography; website design and hosting; printing, production of magazine, fashion design, confectionaries, public speaking/debates; coaching/mentoring supervisory and leadership networking skills.

“In addition to the above, we hope from time to time to invite subject matter experts to share their years of experience and insight with our youths to expand their competitive and entrepreneurial vision and horizon.  Through this programme, we will strive to make our youths very relevant and competitive in employment and as entrepreneurs in contemporary Nigerian society and beyond.  It is our hope that they will excel and be beneficiaries of various world class youth empowerment programmes that get advertised from time to time in the creative industry”, he stated
