  • Don’t relent in good works, Christians urged

The church must continue with its good works to remain a gift to the society, Venerable Christopher Ayejoto has stated.

He spoke at the 25th anniversary of the Christian Unity Band of Nigeria (CUBN) of St. Timothy Anglican Church Awori Diocese, Ogun State.

Ayejoto, who was the guest speaker, said Christian must be steadfast in their selfless services to humanity.

Speaking on the gifts of God, he said Christians must utilise the gifts of healing, prophesy, faith and others to glorify God and mankind.

The Vicar, Rev. Canon Emmanuel Adekoya, praised CUBN members for their hard works and dedication.

He thanked them for the chandelier they bought to illuminate the church and prayed that the good Lord will continue to illuminate their lives and works.

Adekoya tasked them not to relent but persist in their good works with more dedication.

Awards of excellence were presented to former leaders of the group including Mrs. Adedoja Ogundani; Mr. J.A Akinwale; Mr. Jide Atunwa and current executive members of CUBN.

President of the society, Mr. J.O Babayemi, thanked members for the success of the 25th anniversary.

He admonished them to continue their contributions to the progress and development of the church.

He challenged them to further promote love, unity and progress in the body of Christ within and outside the Diocese.

Jubilations as RCCG UK parish clocks 11

For nine hours penultimate Saturday, members and guests of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Goodnews Haven, London engaged in non-stop praise and worship to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the parish.

The church led by the Edo-born Pastor Godday Okosun deployed state- of- the- art equipment to the three-day event with the hash tag #9hrsofNonStopPraise2016 dominating the social media scene.

Praise leaders across the United Kingdom, including Oluwamayowa Ayeni Praise, Testimony Joe, Lola Ezra, Jemi Nwadike, Dr Kemi Ogunmoye and host of others led the congregation at the worship session.

Speakers after speakers espoused on the theme “Open the floodgate of Heaven” drawn from Genesis 7:17.

They include the Executive Administrator of RCCG Central Office in the UK, Pastor Dupe Afolabi and Provincial Pastor of Province 1, Pastor Seyi Oladosu.

Okosun rounded off the celebration with an appreciation speech to all participants.

He was particularly grateful to Almighty God that in the past 11 years, no member had been buried as a result of the covenant of life over the church.

He was grateful that marriages have been consummated, many children were born and several souls were won to God’s Kingdom within the period.

He also went down memory lane as to how the church came to be at the current site and process in place to purchase the property.

Okosun pointed out the only problem is lack of enough space, which he said is a good problem.

He also thanked ministers, workers and members for their support and urged them to see their service as not to any man but to God.

He implored them to continue to abide by the commandment of God and allow the Holy Spirit to be their guide in all their doings.

  • Johnsons: Stronger in love 30 years after

Johnsons: Stronger in love 30 years after

He calls her ‘baby’. It trickles her anytime she hears the pet name. She beams with suppressed smile, looks into his face with affection and in turn calls him ‘daddy’.

This affectionate interplay was all palpable last Thursday at the New Oko Oba headquarters of Jesus Liberation Squad. It has been there from the beginning when they met in the choir of Foursquare Gospel Church Shomolu, then under the leadership of Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo in 1982.

They married on May 17, 1986. 30 years after, Apostle Dele Johnson and his wife, Adekunbi are still waxing stronger. The bond keeps growing. The smiles have become permanent features. But the marriage is never always a bed of roses.

Like every couple, the Johnsons have their high and low moments. They ‘fight’, argue and disagree. But no one else gets to know. “The truth is we are just like every other person. What we decided is no matter how angry we are, we will never carry it over to the next day,” Johnson started.

“We decided even our children will never know about it. We have three grown up kids and none of them has ever caught of arguing or fighting. We decided nobody will ever settle disputes for us. We’d do it ourselves no matter how difficult,” he added.

Those policy statements, he pointed out, have helped to overcome the challenges of bonding and dispute resolution. “We also decided we will take a walk when we are angry. We address the issues and never ourselves. We keep talking about the issues, not the persons when we have disagreements. All of these have helped us over the years,” Adekunbi stated.

In 30 years, Johnson has learnt “marriage requires a lot of patience.” According to him: “The husband must act blind while the wife must be dumb. Both parties must be tolerant of the differences in the other partner.”

When they are angry, the Johnsons have a ‘secret code’ that calms the other partner. “He knows what to do and say that will bring me out of anger and vice versa,” Pastor (Mrs.) Johnson explained.

Since marriage is said to be a school, the couple have learnt so much in the last 30 years. He said he has learnt to practise what he calls “advanced forgiveness”. For Adekunbi, marriage has taught her to “trust him absolutely.”

She added: “No matter what people are saying you must say ‘my husband cannot do that’; ‘my wife is not like that’. You must be able to defend the other person without hearing from him or her.”

Last November, Adekunbi suffered from acute depression that left her hospitalised for three months. That period was the toughest test of the marriage. “She just started becoming aggressive towards me, feeling unworthy. But I told myself I must prove that I love her. I must demonstrate I am not only a lover but also a father.”

Throughout the period, Johnson practically turned the hospital to his abode. He was there day and night to offer her moral support. “He stood by me in such an incredible way that made me decide I must reciprocate and honour him more,” she recalled. The condition that threatened to the tranquility of the marriage eventually turned to strengthen it.

Adekunbi said they have sustained the affection over the years because they have remained inseparable. “We do everything together. We are always together. I can tell everything he is doing at every point.”

Johnson, on his part, said the sustained affection is because “we don’t tear ourselves down. We talk about issues without fighting ourselves.”

But are they into joint account? “Yes, we do,” Johnson stated. “Either of us can sign though we still have our separate accounts from where we fund the joint account for family projects, children and two grandchildren.”

They said ministers with troubled homes need to look at the foundation of their marriages. “If they were friends before lovers, it will help more to sustain the tempo,” Adekunbi argued. But her husband said there must be healthy balance between marriage and ministry.

“Once we get out of the church, we don’t discuss ministerial issues again. Our marriage becomes the focal point. God is interested first in a good marriage before ministry.”

  • Keys to sustainable wealth, by Inyang

Christians must position themselves to explore the various wealth creation opportunities around them, the Senior Pastor of Sure Word Assembly Lagos, Dr Dennis Inyang has stated.

He spoke at the Access to Wealth Creation Conference 2016 by the church in Lagos with the theme creating wealth in a depressed economy.

Inyang said the gospel of Jesus is holistic, stating the same grace that saves is the one that grants access to healing, wholeness, prosperity and long life.

He noted the way out of poverty or lack does not rest on the shoulders of government but individuals who understand the economy and are able to explore them effectively.

According to him: “It is sad that many youths come out of school without jobs; the economy is biting hard and worst still many youths do not have the required skills and creativity to explore the various potentials in the market which need urgent attention.”

He challenged youths to rise above the frustration in the system by strategically locating how they can earn satisfactory incomes.

Inyang added that the difference between prosperity and materialism is purpose because anything can be abused if there is no proper understanding of its purpose.

“If you acquire wealth to put it to good use, helping the poor and needy, creating jobs for the common good, making a difference in the society or your community, investing in the expansion of God’s kingdom and such other things, that is not materialism,” he explained.

On reason for the summit, he said: “It is the will of God that we prosper and because of that we want to equip the people with God’s way of creating wealth

“We want to encourage entrepreneurship and teach God’s people biblical principles for wealth creation. We teach good money skills and investment options.”

He pointed out the high rate of corruption in the system will be reduced if the church teaches people the best way to create wealth without stealing or compromising their faith and conviction.

In his lecture, the Chief Executive Officer of Business Incorporated SGS Inspection Services Nigeria Limited, Mr. Emeka challenged Nigerians to tap into the various opportunities in the exporting market.

“From available data in the world, only a few counties in the world can match Nigeria’s endowment in terms of natural resources. Nigeria cocoa has the best flavor in the world better than Ghana, Cameroon,” he stated.

  • CAN presidency: More intrigues, permutations trail postponement

CAN presidency: More intrigues, permutations trail postponement

Forces within the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have returned to the drawing block following the postponement of the presidential election of the body.

Members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the apex Christian at an emergency meeting last Tuesday in Abuja moved the election slated for May 17-19 to June 14-15.

The postponement, according to investigations, was to douse tension due to the inability of the TEKAN/ECWA bloc to produce a candidate for the election.

The development has threatened to tear the body apart with some northern Christians vowing to break away from the umbrella body should Rev. Dr Jeremiah Gado, their preferred candidate from the bloc, prevented from standing election.

The embattled Gado, who is also the President of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), was technically nullified from the election because of wrangling in the bloc.

The bloc leader, Dr Emmanuel Dziggau, claimed he was about sending Gado’s nomination when a counter letter was received from the Secretary of the bloc contesting the exercise.

Besides, he wondered why Gado was in a hurry to be nominated when he (Dziggau) and two other leaders of the bloc were in the den of kidnappers.

The non-resolution of the crisis left only Elder Professor Joseph Otubu of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) and Rev Dr Supo Ayokunle of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) in the presidential race.

But the Electoral College headed by Dr Williams Okoye, which was constitutionally required to prune candidates down to two and recommend them to NEC for election, said it will not proceed with the exercise until the TEKAN/ECWA crisis was resolved.

The hard stance led to some serious protests in CAN with some church leaders rooting for the disbandment of the College on the basis that it had overstepped its bound.

At the emergency meeting last Tuesday, it was gathered that NEC members expressed serious regrets over how the transitional programme had been politicised.

It was learnt that the leaders vowed to fight off internal and external attempts to manipulate the election following allegations that some presidential aides were interested in the exercise.

CAN, according to them, is free from government interference and must remain an independent umbrella body for Christians.

Sources hinted that members of the Electoral College were chided for insisting the TEKAN/ECWA bloc must present a candidate, a development many church leaders said was overbearing.

But it was gathered that reasons prevailed when some pleaded that the bloc be allowed to sort out the crisis in the interest of fairness.

A source at the meeting hinted: “Some were angry but at the end we felt it was better to give them a final opportunity to sort themselves out.”

Based on this, the bloc was granted a two-week latitude to conduct a fresh primary for the presidential contest.

But investigations revealed that the primary may be scuttled again following the determination of some forces to stop Gado at all costs.

The TEKAN element in the bloc has produced a new candidate who is expected to give Gado, believed to be backed by some forces in Aso Rock, a tough run.

Besides, it is an open secret that there is no love lost between Gado and Dziggau.

Also, Gado is expected to face stiff opposition from ECWA, which produced the current National Secretary, Rev Dr Musa Asake.

The emergence of Gado will mean that Asake has to give up his second term ambition in the National Secretariat of CAN.

Asake, who was former General Secretary of ECWA, has large followership in the church and has been selling the idea that it is better for ECWA to stick to certainty as against pursing uncertainty (presidency).

Also, Gado is seriously battling with perception problem following insinuations that he is backed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Engineer Babachir David Lawal, who is a pastor in the church.

The tag that the ECWA president is a government candidate is causing many leaders in CAN to have a harder look at him.

But his supporters are optimistic he will pull through the opposition.

One of them told our correspondent: “Gado will scale through. That I can assure you. They know he has all it takes and that is why they want to stop him at all costs.”

It was gathered that his camp has devised strategies to reach out to influential Christian leaders for support.

But first he has to win the primary to stand a chance of having a shot at the CAN presidency.

On his part, Ayokunle, who is President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC), is backing that he will benefit from the crisis in the TEKAN\ECWA.

Should Gado’s ambition be scuttled at the primary level, the race will be between Otubu and Ayokunle.

Ayokunle’s backers told our correspondent that he will be on the standby to see how the crisis goes.

The Baptist Convention President was initially thought to be in the race to retain his seat as Vice President of the body.

But he started showing serious interests some two weeks ago, fuelling speculations that he could be the candidate of the outgoing executives.

But many believe it is not the turn of CCN to produce the next CAN president.

Archbishop Peter Akinola of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion handed over to the current occupant, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

The OAIC and TEKAN/ECWA are the only blocs yet to produce the president of the organisation.

Otubu, the General Evangelist of Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide (MCCSW), won a keenly contested primary with Archbishop Daniel Okoh, some weeks back.

The retired gynecologist is seen as a cleric with a professional background, an attribute many say the Christian body needs for now.

His supporters said he will give CAN the much-needed facelift, if elected.

Come July 19-20, one of these three candidates will take over from Oritsejafor whose tenure had been marred by many controversies.

  • ‘How youths can become great’

Youths have been challenged to avoid social vices to safeguard their glorious future.

This was the consensus at the Eagles’ Youth conference organised by Believer’s House of Freedom (BHF) and Star Diamond Group in Lagos last week.

The theme of the conference that attracted hundreds of youths was discover the greatness in you.

The convener, Pastor David Elo, said only youths that embrace zero tolerance to vices such as cultism, drug abuse and sexual immorality can be sure of a better future.

The Senior Minister of Believer’s House of Freedom lamented that many youths were moving towards negative directions.

Elo urged the government to pay more attention to youth development as well as creating platforms, programmes and opportunities for them to unleash their potentials, which will in turn be beneficial to the nation at large.

“We don’t just want leaders but good leaders who can be a role model to the youth and whose life can be of emulation,” he said.

He also lamented the increase in cult activities in the country and charged youths to flee from the act.

On how youths can maximize the potentials, he advised: “Monitor your friends because negative influence has a way of affecting one’s destiny. Make up your mind that you want to succeed and look out for the talents that God has deposited in you. Discover it and work towards it.”

The CEO of Star Diamond Group, Dr John Kome, called for youth development schemes to safeguard the future of the nation.

He urged the current administration to ensure the adequate participation of youths in socio-economic development to redirect their focus from sexual immorality, cultism, drug abuse and addictions.

Kome said: “If the government thinks Nigeria can move forward without the youths, it is a lie. Everyone wants to travel out of the country because they believe their best will show forth out there.

“Our youths must abstain from sexual immorality and other bad acts; serve God and remain in Him. These are the secrets behind my wealth.”

  • Okoroafor, Emeka in war of words over Assemblies crisis

The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Dr Chidi Okoroafor has tackled his predecessor, Dr Paul Emeka, for berating the recognition of his leadership by the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF).

The duo has been engaged in a supremacy battle over the headship of the church in almost three years.

Leaders of WAGF, a global coalition of the church, recently felicitated with Okoroafor at a recent visit to Nigeria.

Supporters of Okoroafor have been hailing the development, describing it as an ‘endorsement’ from the global fellowship of the church.

But Emeka, last week, said the purported recognition was of no effect because the WAGF does not have such powers because it “is a cooperative body of worldwide Assemblies of God and relate national councils and churches of equal standing.

“It is not a legislating organ to any national entity, rather a coalition of commitment for the global furtherance of the Gospel and the kingdom of God as a service agent.”

Continuing, Emeka, who was excommunicated in October 2014 by the Church’s General Council, said: “WAGF cannot go beyond its powers to interfere in the internal affairs of a member national church.”

He stated that WAFG has no powers to impose any leader on a national church, stating it cannot arbitrarily endorse one and reject the other without listening to both of them.

“Therefore, there is no ground for the fellowship to endorse Chidi Okoroafor as the GS of the church in Nigeria,” Emeka said.

He maintained that WAGF has not discussed the crisis in Nigerian Church and respects a nation’s structure and policy, adding that Chidi Okoroafor presented his illegal election to George Wood, the leader of the World body and not the crisis in Assemblies of God.

Emeka stated that Okoroafor, the new General Superintendent, manipulated the so-called endorsement letter by WAGF as the world body does not give endorsement to any member nation.

“It has become very clear that Chidi Okoroafor wants leadership position by any means. It is on record that immediately after the last national elections, Chidi sent congratulatory letters to almost all the Governors in the hope that in replying, they will address the letter to him as the GS of Assemblies of God Nigeria and that would be taken as endorsement.

“In 2015, they went to seek an audience with the President of Ghana who happens to be a member of Assemblies of God to request him to ask his Nigerian

counterpart, Goodluck Jonathan to intervene in the Assemblies of God crisis in favour of Chidi.”

Reacting, Okoroafor dismissed his predecessor’s objection as inconsequential.

Speaking through the Director of Inter Church, Assemblies of God Nigeria, Dr John Amah, Okoroafor said WAGF can recognise and fellowship with properly constituted leadership of national churches across the globe.

He explained that it was actually Emeka, who refused entreaties from WAGF to intervene when the crisis started.

According to him: “The WAGF did not and cannot impose any General Superintendent to any national church but she can recognize and cooperate with the leadership of any nation that is constituted legally/constitutionally and legitimately.

“In October 2014, over 7000 Assemblies of God Ordained Ministers and Deacons from all the Districts in the General Council of Nigeria came and elected Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the General Superintendent of the Church.

“In the same General Council meeting, other officers that form the Executive Committee were equally elected, all these are documented in a DVD and the leaders of the WAGF were given a copy as our custom is, hence their decision to recognize Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the legitimate General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in Nigeria.

“Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and the other General Council Officers never requested to meet with the WAGF leaders.

“It was the leaders of the WAGF who wrote informing them of their intention to meet with the four officers at our International Headquarters in Springfield Missouri, United States.

“On arrival in Springfield, they were shocked at the reception the WAGF leaders gave to them; it was in the meeting that they were given the letter of recognition.

“The actions and behaviours of Paul Emeka are contrary to the Assemblies of God believes, in fact they are contrary the Christian ethics and practices.”

He asked Emeka to stop personalising the crisis between him and the church, stating that Okoroafor was duly elected to fill the void created.

“Dr. Chidi Okoroafor committed no crime to have stepped in when Paul Emeka was removed constitutionally, so this repeated foul cry against Dr. Chidi Okoroafor is just the mischievous lifestyle of Paul Emeka.

“The AG crises came as a result Paul Emeka violating several provisions of the Constitution of the Assemblies of God Nigeria.

“When Paul Emeka invited the World Assemblies of God Fellowship to mediate, they turned his invitation down because he had already taken the church to Court which is unacceptable by the World Assemblies of God Fellowship since it goes contrary to scriptural impetus by his ex-communication.”

  • Give your all to God, women charged

Christian women have been challenged to embrace their divine assignments and carry them out without holding back.

The national and International President of the Mothers’ Union of the Church of the Lord (Aladura) Worldwide (MUTCLAW), Spiritual Mother Superior Mary Ositelu, said every woman has the calling of God upon her life.

She spoke at the biennial conference of MUTCLAW hosted by the Lagos Province headquarters, Sabo Yaba, Lagos last week.

In her keynote address to declare the three-day conference with the theme “woman of destiny” open, Ositelu enjoined women to embrace their destiny and willingly offer themselves for whatever service God calls them to.

She counselled them to carry out the tasks regardless of the associated pains to receive a prominent place in history like Mary, the mother of God.

Mary, she pointed out, obediently accepted a major assignment of a rare kind from God even when the outcome seems disastrous.

“Today, Mary is praised by countless generations as blessed among women because of her submission and the impact of her seed on humanity,” Ositelu, who was represented by National and International Women Desk Officer of MUTCLAW, Ven. Josephine Phillips, stated.

The President of MUTCLAW, Lagos Province, Reverend (Mrs.) Bola Gbogboade, expressed gratitude to God for the grace to host this year’s conference, which she said was impactful.

The women also donated beddings to the Harvey Road Maternity and Health Centre, Yaba, Lagos.

They said the gesture was to demonstrate the love of Christ to the world.

There was also an evangelism rally as well as a trade\vocational workshop for training on bead making, production of various insecticides, fragrance, home-made drinks and small chops.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service on Sunday, which ended the conference, the guest preacher, Rev Ranti Thompson, told the women to be prepared to be vessels of positive values through constant obedience to divine assignments.

  • Cleric berates politicians for broken promises

The Spiritual leader of Anu-Oluwapo Cherubim & Seraphim Adewale Babalola has advised political office holders to stop breaking the oath of office they sworn before God and man.

He spoke at the annual celebration of Ark of Covenant in his church at Nkpor Village in Obio/Akpor Local government area of Rivers State.

Babalola accused most office holders of not living by the Oath they swore to.

The cleric said it amounts to sin to swear with Bible and Quran without keeping the obligations.

According to him: “Our leaders do not fear God. They are yet to realise that the world they are today is a market place.

“How can one swore with the Bible and fail to honour it? That person is playing with fire. That is the reason we are suffering today because our leaders feel less concerned about the Oath they took.

“We must learn to honour the ark of God; those who honour the ark of God receive the reward of absolute obedience.

“That is why I am confident that the country will get better under President Buhari because he has taken a part of honour by respecting his creator.”

  • We need peace and progress

Many people desire to have peace in their lives; we need peace in Nigeria right now. What is peace and how can one have peace? Peace is translated as Alafia in Yoruba language, Udo in Igbo and Zaman Lafiya in Hausa.

Peace is when there is calmness, order, love, rest, unity, quietness, comfort, security, friendship, reconciliation and joy. Where there is no peace we find war, violence, insecurity, disunity, stress, disturbances, hatred, restlessness, complain, murmuring, disagreement, fighting, worry, commotion, difficulty, hardship and failure.

Tell me, if anyone has no peace going by what the absence of peace represent from the above, will the person have progress? Absolute NO. There can’t be progress/prosperity without peace. Satan very much knows that where there is no peace there will be no progress, so he does everything to ensure there is no peace in someone’s life, in a family and in a nation, so that we will not be who God destined for us to be. But he is a failure already because today we will be receiving help from God to have peace, live a peaceful life so we can prosper and move forward.

How can one have peace?  To have peace, to experience and live in peace – one must first be at peace with the author and creator of peace- He who is peace Himself without whom there is no peace, am talking about God Almighty. The God of peace, who created the whole world and desires that we have peace and progress, God Himself tells us how to be at peace with Him and in turn live in peace and progress. Right now I see Nigeria has no peace, so much hatred, violence, disunity, hardship in the land, this is because Nigeria is not at peace with God- this has to change, Nigeria has to progress. Who is Nigeria- Me and you, so we are the ones to bring about the progress and prosperity we desire through PEACE.

How to have peace- like I said earlier to have peace which births progress, you must first be at peace with God and there is only one way by which God has given us to be at peace with Him… “FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN; UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN; AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER. THESE WILL BE HIS ROYAL TITLES: “WONDERFUL,” “COUNSELOR,” “THE MIGHTY GOD,” “THE EVERLASTING FATHER,” “THE PRINCE OF PEACE.” His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule with perfect fairness and justice and peace to all the nations of the world…” Who is the person spoken of here? The person is JESUS. God has given us His son Jesus- the prince of peace to give us peaceful lives and a peaceful government.

He is the only way to be at peace with God and then have a peaceful government which will prosper. Jesus is the gospel that brings about peace with God, peace with God in turn brings about progress. The scripture says… “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

All you need do is to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, accept Him as the saviour of the world and your saviour and Lord then you will enjoy the peace of God eternally, for in Jesus alone is PEACE- God Himself made it so. If you say you believe in God Almighty, but not in Jesus, the one God sent to redeem mankind, then your belief has to be checked. Rejecting Him and trying to fix things by yourself will lead to what was said about the nation Israel in the Bible when they tried to bring about progress in their own strength…

The Lord has spoken out to the braggart Israel who says that though our land lies in ruins now, we will rebuild it better than before. The sycamore trees are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars! The Lord’s reply to your bragging is to bring your enemies against you- the Syrians on the east and the Philistines on the west. With bared fangs they will destroy Israel. And even then the Lord’s anger against you will not be satisfied- His fist will still be posed to smash you.”

The worst still remains that people will still keep arguing and rejecting Jesus; the saviour of the world, the prince of peace, without whom there cannot be lasting peace and progress. Israel’s rejection of the truth in spite of their predicament was predicted with grave consequence… “For after all this punishment you will not repent and turn to God. Therefore the Lord, in one day will destroy the leaders of Israel and the lying prophets, for the leaders of the people have led them on the paths of ruin.”

Let us learn from other people’s experiences and escape being destroyed eternally. I wish every Nigerian irrespective of religion, tribe, tongue, race, etc will put aside our differences, stubbornness and pride and embrace the TRUTH- to believe and accept Jesus the prince of peace so Nigeria can be at peace with God and have peace and progress….How  glorious it will be when this will happen. Oh Lord! Please let this happen.

This will happen through individual decisions and also collectively; let every head of families, religions, tribes, tongues believe in Jesus themselves and call their wards to believe too so we can have rest from all the turmoil around and within us.

Let us allow the prince of peace to reign over our lives, families, nation that we may have peace, love, health, well being, happiness, prosperity, progress and cessation of enmity, hatred, violence, war, bloodletting, kidnapping, murder, armed robbery, corruption and all the vices in our country. This is very possible if only we will all believe in Jesus.

    TEXT: Isaiah 9:1-21, John 3:16.
