The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 36 northern youths sneaking out of Osun State for violating the lockdown directive.
They were intercepted at the boundary of Ilesha around 9pm on Monday when they were sneaking out of Ilesha and heading for Sokoto.
NSCDC Commandant in Osun State Mr. Adeyinka Oguntunwase, parading the youth, said his officers arrested them at Ilesha boundary.

He said: “My men on duty in Ilesha arrested the northern youth around 9:30pm. When we interrogated them, they told us that they were going to Sokoto. They said they were going through Ede and Ogbomosho before they would join the expressway leading to Sokoto.
“We are sending them back to the head of their extraction in Ilesha. When we contacted their head about their arrest, he was not happy about what the youth had done. He said he had warned them against travelling. They will face the full wrath of the law.”
