Firm supports Fed Govt’s COVID effort with N1b

Tolaram Group, promoters of Indomie Noodles, Power Oil, Hypo, Kellogg’s, Dano, Colgate, and other household brands, has donated products worth N1 billion to the Federal Government in the fight against Coronavirus.

Making the donation, Managing Director Haresh Aswani said: “We believe no amount of support is too much during this challenge. We also believe our contribution will help to expand the health capabilities on ground, especially testing, isolation, provision of treatment facilities, and humanitarian palliatives essential to contain the virus and support Nigerians in its aftermath.

“It is a difficult moment for any government globally but … our government has done well in its fight against COVID-19 and must be praised. Tolaram will continue to collaborate with the government and relevant agencies… to combat the virus and its effects,” he added.

Aswani also reiterated that Tolaram Group, in collaboration with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has embarked on enlightenment campaigns to educate Nigerians on COVID-19 … based on World Health Organisation’s (WHO’s) guidelines for safety.

He hailed the sacrifice and efforts of medical personnel risking their lives in caring for infected persons.

Aswani urged Nigerians to adhere to preventive measures to contain the spread.

This is in addition to the initial donation of food and Hypo disinfectant to states, NCDC and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Tolaram Group has also been involved in the feeding of Internally Displaced Persons (IPDs), police professionals, and providing support to medical personnel in Lagos and Abuja.

It set up disinfectant tunnels in 20 major markets in Lagos.

Aswani reiterated Tolaram’s commitment to making life better for Nigerians, affirming that the N1 billion support was a step further, with more to come.
