Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, is keen on completing the most expensive transfer in Premier League history after the Champions reportedly made a £100million offer for Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish.
The Spaniard is a long-term admirer of Grealish and is determined to add him to City’s already strong squad despite mounting interest from Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea.
The European Champions were allegedly lining up a plan to hijack City’s move for the 25-year-old, but with this news surfacing, it looks as though he could head to Manchester before the end of the window.

According to the Telegraph, Grealish has been one of Guardiola’s priority signings this summer and after days of discussion, they have submitted a remarkable offer which will eclipse English football’s previous transfer record of £89million for Paul Pogba.
Villa have offered a new contract worth around £125,000 a week, but at this stage of his career, Grealish might be looking ahead in pursuit of winning trophies.
And with City so focused on securing a move for Grealish, Tottenham could be set for a boost in their hopes of keeping hold of star striker, Harry Kane.
