OPC faction denies change of leadership

THE Oduaa People’s Congress-Reformed (OPC-R) has denied reports making the rounds in a section of the media about the emergence of a new leader.

The group said such a claim was untrue and misleading, noting that Comrade Dare Adesope remained the leader of the OPC-R.

A statement issued by the governor of the Lagos State Chapter of the group, Samson Balogun read in part: ‘’ The trending issue that one Wasiu Afolabi is now the leader of all OPC factions is false and everybody should disregard it.

‘’We, members of OPC-Reformed under the leadership of Comrade Dare Adesope would have just disregarded it, but there is a saying that silence means yes, as such in order not to mislead the members of the public, we have come to tell you that there is nothing of such.

“OPC-R has been in existence before the demise of Dr. Frederick Fasehun and we have been performing excellently well…so, simply put, the claim (of new leadership) is a fallacy and everybody should disregard it.’’
