AN Islamic scholar, Prof. AbdulRazzak Alaro, has cautioned Muslims to avoid exaggeration in their supplication to Allah.

Alaro, in an online Ramadan lecture in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, said there was nobody that could praise Allah like Prophet Muhammad and his companions, saying they never made noise during the process.

“It is not until we start shouting and making noise, causing discomfort to others, before Almighty Allah will hear us.

“Allah is closer to us than the veins of our neck. It is the sincere mind and good intention of a worshipper that Almighty Allah wants, and He has promised to answer the prayers of a sincere caller,” he said.

Alaro urged Muslims to always remember Allah and not wait until His favour is needed.

He said it was stated in the Qur’an that human beings should remember Allah at all times and that Allah would answer their requests.

“Do not wait till you are in need of something from Allah before calling on Him; always remember Allah all the time. Try and recite the Qur’an daily, even if it is one page ; recite the Qur’an calmly and with a good voice,” he said.
