#EdoDecide: PDP caucus alleges APC, INEC of conspiracy to rig

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and some personnel of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are conspiring to rig Wednesday’s governorship polls in Edo state, the caucus of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives has alleged.

Compromising INEC staff, issuance of sensitive materials including result sheets before elections and alteration of card readers, among others  are the means to be employed to carry out the rigging, the leader of caucus, Leo Ogor (PDP, Delta) said at a briefing Tuesday.

“INEC surreptitiously and in conjunction with APC compiled names and list of INEC staff and persons sympathetic with APC to superintend over election to skew same in favour of APC.

“Thus, INEC staff earlier listed for the elections was all replaced majorly with people from a particular section of the country, claiming that most people from the South-south are pathetic to the PDP.

“There was an arrangement to issue sensitive materials such as results sheets and incident forms to the APC before the election to enable them originate fake results and submit same with the assistance of security men.

“Some top APC members were arranging with ICT experts and some INEC officials to alter the card readers to be used for the election to give an inaccurate figure, which was not generated from the legitimate accreditation in the field.

“Additionally, INEC unlawfully agreed with some security agencies to move collation centres to police station, saying the action was to give the APC, who are ill-prepared and indeed not capable of winning any free and fair election in Edo State, the covering to bring in compromised results for the Returning Officers to announce,” he said.

Ogor, who was accompanied by several members of the caucus, said the APC in the State, in conjunction with some security agencies have consistently harassed PDP members in the various local governments of the state ahead of the election.

The security report which was used as excuse to postpone the election would also be deployed as grounds to militarise Edo to ward off any anti APC voter, Ogor alleged.

The caucus however appealed to the electoral umpire to live above board, saying, “We urge INEC as an independent and unbiased umpire to forestall these evil arrangements and uphold its integrity. The issues raised herein should be taken seriously and acted upon by civil society, the Nigerian public and the press to give credibility to the electoral process”.

  • Survey places Obaseki in good position to win election

Survey places Obaseki in good position to win election

An independent survey conducted by Lakewhyte Communications Limited has said that governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Godwin Obaseki, is in a good position to win Wednesday election.

The survey said Obaseki has been rated higher based on his antecedents and based on the fact that Governor Adams Oshiomhole had performed well.

It said from the 10,000 prospective voters sampled in the survey, 64.32 percent promised to vote for Obaseki while 34.92 percent said they would vote for Ize-Iyamu.

According to the report, “On the question of Better Knowledge of Governance and capacity to deliver on promises, 6,217 of the respondents (62.17 percent) preffered Godwin Obaseki of APC, while only 3,701 (37.01 percent) opted for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of PDP. A total of 82 number of responses were invalid.

“They responded to the second question in almost the same manner. Asked who they would vote for, 6,432 (64.32 percent) pledged their votes would go for Obaseki, while 3,401 (34.01 percent) responded in favour of Ize-Iyamu of PDP.

“If this trend pans out, and all things being equal, it will mean that the APC candidate, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, will likely win the governorship election with a margin of about 30 percent over his rival.

This Survey also examines the two Candidates’ areas of Strengths and Weaknesses and tries to determine who would likey have an edge in the scheduled poll.

“Obaseki’s strengths are in five critical areas: (1) Being a member of the party in power at the federal level. This could be an advantage as people of the state would want to vote for APC to be able to enjoy benefits that may accrue from that level of government. (2) Unity of purpose by his party members in the state. Obaseki has the full support and backing of APC members in and outside the state.

“Even those who lost the party primaries have all joined forces to ensure the party’s victory at the poll.  This was the result of the reconciliatory efforts he and Governor Adams Oshiomhole made to appease aggrieved members. (3) APC’s clear and practicable manifesto. This is another attraction which his party commands and which will likely work in Obaseki’s favour on Wednesday.

“The Oshiomhole factor is unputdownable. He is an enigma in the Edo political equation. Although his achievements in the past eight years can easily speak for themselves, the Governor has used every opportunity available to recount them and market them to the people. He told the people that all they needed was a tested successor to continue in the same stead.

“Obaseki will likely enjoy tremendous geo-political advantage. Edo State seats on a tripod. Edo South senatorial district has 58 per cent of the voting population; Edo Central has 16 per cent, and Edo North has 26 per cent of voters in the state. Incidentally, the zone where PDP commands a seemingly huge popularity is the Central zone, where it has the likes of Chief Anthony Anenih, Chief Tom Ikimi, Mike Onolemenme, Senator Clifford Odia, Senator Odion Ugbesia and others with the exclusion of former governor and senator, Prof. Osunbor as well as the Igbinedions.

“The people of Edo North, with 26 per cent of voters, will likely cast almost 100 per cent for Obaseki because of the Oshiomhole factor and the area where his Deputy hails from. It would be recalled that recently, Traditional rulers of all the three zones pledged their support for Obaseki and his Deputy, Phillip Shaibu.

“They hinged their support on the fact that Oshiomhole had performed exceedingly well compared to others in the last 16 years of democracy and of the need to support Obaseki, who is also part of the Oshimhhole success story, rather than voting for someone who was part of what some have described as the dark days of development in the state.

“Added to this is the fact that Edo State has 18 local government areas with 24 seats in the House of Assembly. Of this number, PDP has only three constituency seats, while APC has 21 seats, a situation that will make it extremely difficult for the table to turn in favour of PDP, as members of the Edo State House of Assembly would also defend their turf electorally.

“Weakness: The only known weakness of Obaseki is the perception that he is a stooge of Governor Oshiomhole. Being an expert in economic management, some believe that he would likely  emphasise higher taxation in a bid to generate more income for the state it stated.

“While Ize-Iyamu’ Strengths lies on the fact that he is a formidable politician who also knows the party he is contesting against – APC – inside-out. His strength in the Wednesday election rests mainly on his political sagacity. Generally, his campaign messages seem not as credible as his opponent’s as they are centered mainly on tackling the APC’s perceived failures without proffering credible solutions.

“His Weakness: Many unresolved issues appear to be working against Ize-Iyamu’s chances in the forthcoming election. Three of them are notable: (1) Credibility question. He is widely perceived as a representation of the Igbinedion legacy of non-performance and corruption.

“He occupied at the time, two strategic positions, as Chief of Staff, and Secretary to the State Government. In addition, he was alleged to have been the one that signed most of the fictitious multi-billion naira contracts in that administration, which were never executed.

“The factionalisation of PDP at the national level, which has rubbed off on the party in the state. Although INEC has recognised him as the candidate of the party, others who contested with him in the primaries have largely deserted him including many notable PDP politicians from his zone and beyond. His supporters are mainly from Edo Central district that may not be able to win the election for him because of population disadvantage.

“As can be seen, even the above SWOT Analysis conducted favours the same trend of thought expressed by potential voters above. In other words, that the APC candidate has higher chances of clinching the Governorship seat than his PDP counterpart,” it stated.

Ondo: Abraham, Oke, Boroffice insist on fresh primaries

‎Three aggrieved leading governorship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State yesterday rejected the decision of the party National Working Committee (NWC) to uphold the primary result, which favoured Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

The trio, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, Olusola Oke and Segun Abraham at a press conference held in Akure, the state capital, expressed shock over the action of the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

At the event, which was also attended by their teeming supporters, Abraham was avoidably absent but sent his apology.

Speaking on behalf of other aspirants, Boroffice particularly described the decision of the  Oyegun to uphold the result, despite the majority of the committee members kicked against it as very undemocratic.

He said they were consulting and would soon make public the next line of action on their political careers.

Boroffice said: “as enumerated in our petitions, which we submitted to the Appeal committee that was duly constituted by the NEC with the approval of the NWC of APC and as contained in the primary election guidelines of APC, the followining are the planks upon which our appeals are based:
“Fraudulent injection of 383 names into the delegates list that was used to conduct the primary election.

“Issuance of delegate tag to non-delegates and allowing the non-delegates to vote in the primary election.

“On investigation, 300 delegates tags were indiscriminately issued to non-delegates, two designated buses were provided to convey known non-delegates to the voting centre and voted to give undue advantage to one of the aspirants. “These among others, were discovered after the charade called credible election.

“It is important to bring into the public domain that on September 2, a new copy of the compromised delegates list was made available to all the aspirants by the election committee of APC around 10.30pm.

“On the receipt of the purported new delegate list, we all made a written protest letter, including Akeredolu transmitted our letters to the primary election committee chairman informing him of our rejection of the substituted delegates list.

“As democrats, having discovered the fraud in the process, we submitted ourselves to the process of redress as stipulated in the primary election guidelines of APC, believing that we are safe in the hands of supposed democrats.

“The Appeal Committee, within the mandate of their authority, having regards to the preponderance of evidence laid before it recommended that the election be nullified and another election be conducted.

“In line with the electoral guideline of APC, the report of the Appeal Committee was submitted the NWC for final ratification.

“Considering our strength in the APC and a total votes of 1,617 in the primary election, as the Apex authority in the administration of APC in Nigeria, we have always assumed sanity and reasonableness on the part of the members of the NWC. “We hope the members of the committee will uphold justice and exorcised corruption from the process.

“On September 22, the NWC considered the report of the Appeal committee and puts its decision on the recommendations of the Appeal committee to vote. The majority of the members of the NWC voted that recommendations of the Appeal committee be upheld.

“To our dismay and in a manner at variance with democratic norms, the national chairman overruled the majority of the NWC. He rejected the path of truth and upheld the primary election that its process was chacterised with corruption.

“We are determined to liberate our people and no undemocratic decision of a party and its leadership will be allowed to misdirect our attention from the goal.

“Therefore, we hereby condemned in absolute terms the undemocratic decision of the NWC. Since the party and the official leaders of the party have found pleasure in covering fraud, we owe the people of ondo state a sacred duty of liberation”.

On his part, Oke said he is still consulting and he would soon make his next line of action known.

He noted that “Whatever you might have since on the social media that I am moving to Action Alliance (AA), APGA, is the desire of my supporters.

“As at today, I have not moved from APC and if I want to move I will inform you people about my next line of action.

  • Appeal court upholds Dickson’s election

    Appeal court upholds Dickson’s election

The appeal tribunal at the Court of Appeal, Abuja on Thursday dismissed the appeal by former Bayelsa State governor, Timipre Sylva against the validation of Seriake Dickson’s election by the trial tribunal.
Sylva and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had appealed the decision of the governorship election tribunal, which sat in Abuja, and urged the appellate court to set aside the trial  judgment delivered on July 26, 2016.
In a unanimous judgment, a five-man panel led by Justice Jimi Olukayode Bada, resolved the five issues raised for determination against Sylva. The appeal was marked: CA/A/EPT/482/2016.
The court, in a lead judgment read by Justice Bada, held that Sylva failed to prove his allegation that the election held on December 6, 2015 and the supplementary one held on January 9, 2016 were marred by substantial non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
It also held that Sylva failed to prove the allegations of irregularities and corrupt practices raised in his petition.
The court upheld the decision by election tribunal, which earlier affirmed Dickson’s victory.
It noted that while Sylva’s case was  against the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel the election held in Southern Ijaw Local Government on December 6, 2016, he failed to lead credible evidence to prove his case.
Sylva had argued that INEC’s decision to cancel  the December 6, 2015 election in Southern Ijaw LG and reschedule it for January 9, 2016 was a breach of the provision of Section26(1( of the Electoral Act 2010.
On whether election actually took place in Southern Ijaw LG on December 6, 2016, the appellate court held that the prosecution presented contradictory evidence in this regard.
As against Sylva’s argument that INEC’s Resident Electoral Officers (REC) in the state lacked the power to have announced a cancellation of the election, the court held that Section 153(1)(f) of the 1st Schedule to the Constitution allows INEC to delegate its powers to any of its REC.
It held that it was only INEC that could complain about how its REC exercised the so delegated powers.
The court further held that by the evidence led by the appellant ( at the trial tribunal), it was clear that there was no conducive atmosphere under which a peaceful election could have been held in Southern Ijaw, and that the most reasonable thing in that circumstance was to postpone the election, which INEC did.
It held that the burden was on Sylva to lead credible evidence to prove that election actually held in Southern Ijaw, which he failed to do.
“Where a party seeks declaratory reliefs, it is the law that his case succeeds on the strength of his case and not the weakness of the defence.
“A proper interpretation of Section 26(1) of the Electoral Act will accommodate what occurred in Southern Ijaw, where election was marred by violence.
“There cannot be said to have been an election. The decision to conduct the election at a later date can be better interpreted as postponement, not cancellation.
“The appellant, who asserted that there was election in Southern Ijaw LG on December 6, 2015 has the burden to prove the election and not the other way round,” the court said.
The court faulted the decision by Sylva and his party to participate in the rescheduled election when they had protested INEC’s rescheduling of the election.
It held that having participated in the rescheduled January 9, 2016 election, Sylva and his party have lost the right to challenge the propriety or otherwise of INEC’s decision to reschedule the election.
On whether the tribunal was right to have held in favour of the respondents by virtue of the evidence led, the appellate court noted that although Sylva and his party were able to show some instances of irregularities, it was not sufficient to prove that such irregularities substantially tilted the result of the election in favour to the eventual winner.
It also upheld the trial tribunal’s decision to delete names of some unnamed parties from the petition and to also delete some portions of the petition on the grounds that the appellants were unable to show how that decision worked injustice against them.
“With the resolution of all the five issues against the appellants, I am of the view that this Appeal is devoid of merit. It is accordingly dismissed. Parties are to bear their costs,” Justice Bada said.
The court also dismissed the two  cross appeals filed by Dickson and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which challenged the competence of Sylva’s candidacy for the election.
Justice. Nonye Okoronkwo read the lead judgment in the appeal by Dickson marked: CA/A/EPT/482B/2016, while Justice Tunji  Awotoye read the lead judgment in the appeal by PDP marked: CA/A/EPT/482C/2016.
The court, in holding that both appeals were unmeritorious, noted that issues about qualification were outside the jurisdiction of election tribunals.

Dariye who moved from the PDP to the Labour Party and back to PDP and now APC said that his decision to leave the PDP was informed by the protracted division at the national level of PDP.
His words: “After due consultation with my constituency, I write to notify you of my intention to cross over from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“My decision is informed by the protracted division at the national level of the PDP that led to the massive movement of my supporters to APC. Arising from this, I therefore write to formerly inform you of my decision to go along with my supporters. I thank you for your understanding”
With the defection of Dariye, APC now has 59 senators, PDP has 43 senators while Labour Party has one.
Elated Saraki commended Dariye for his action to leave the PDP.

Edo poll: ‘They want to attack my convoy’

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Thursday raised alarm that intelligence report has uncovered plots by the opposition party to attack his campaign convoy.

According to the Governorship candidate, security operatives have been responsive and disclosed that some militants who disguised in two buses were arrested in Benin.

Obaseki opined that opinion polls from across the state showed the APC will win the September 28 governorship election by 75 percent.

Speaking while fielding questions from journalists in Benin City, Obaseki described as propaganda by the PDP that fifth columnist within the APC will work against the part’y chances.

Obaseki noted that the amount of defection from the PDP has crumbled the opposition party in Edo central.

His words: “And even in their strongholds, we are beginning to see them very jittery and in Edo North apart from few units in Akoko-Edo and one unit in Owan East, it is essentially on locked down for us.

“So from what we can see today, barring any unforeseen circumstances, barring violence that will scare people from the poll and barring any attempt by the opposition party to cause disruptions in some highly populated voting units so that the results from those units will be inconclusive, we believe that we are very comfortable.

“As a people even though we are facing severe challenges at this point in time, the opportunities ahead of us are enormous and mind boggling and that there is hope for Edo State and hope for Nigeria and that to realise this hope, we have to hug and hold democracy tight and ensure that we do not, no matter the provocation do things or take steps that will threaten our democracy in any way and that our hope and our redemption lies in us and in us sustaining democracy.”

  • Ondo APC leaders back fresh primary

Ondo APC leaders back fresh primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Council of Local Government Chairmen in Ondo state on Thursday debunked the report that they supported the ‘disputed’ September 3 primary election won by Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

Earlier in the week, a newspaper advertorial was published in a national daily signed by 13 APC local government chairmen upholding the outcome of the Primary election.

However, members of the group in its majority have now thrown their weight behind the recommendation on cancellation by the Appeal committee.

Besides, the Conference of the 203 ward chairmen in all the 18 local government areas in the state have also aligned with the cancellation, describing it “as against the party’s anti-corruption stance”.

They expressed confidence in the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to ratify the recommendation soon.

The statement by the party chairmen after its meeting said “We, the undersigned members of Council of Local Government Chairmen, have come across a spurious and bogus advertorial of resolutions made pursuant to the recently concluded Ondo State gubernatorial primary election on page 32 of The Nation, Monday, September 19, by one Mr. Rasheed Badmus.

“We note that at the Council’s meeting on Friday, September 16, the Council meeting neither deliberated on the recent governorship primary election held on September 3 nor did the Council conclude to stand by the outcome of the said primary election.

“We therefore disassociate this Council and its undersigned members from the said resolutions as contained in the spurious publication and condemn it as not our deeds.

“We restate that the issue of whether the APC Ondo State governorship primary election is free, fair and credible and the validity or otherwise of the election of Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, as the Candidate of the Party in the State is for the determination of Ondo State Governorship Primary Election Appeal Committee and we resolve to stand by the decision of the Appeal Committee on the primary election.

“We affirm that majority of the people of Ondo State stand by the decision of the Appeal Committee and are prepared for a rerun of the primary election as recommended.

“This is evident in the mood of dark cloud cast on Ondo State since the announcement of Akeredolu as the Candidate of the Party in the State, and the jubilant scenes that met the announcement of annulment on Monday.”

The Party Chairmen advised the NWC to speed up action on the implementation of the recommendation of the Appeal Committee, describing it as “the only sure way of guaranteeing peace, justice and due process of law to guarantee victory for the APC in the November 26 poll.

According to the statement “the only issue tabled for discussion at the Council’s meeting was the resolution of the pending litigation in the Federal High Court, Akure Division in respect of the purported removal from office of the APC Ondo State Chairman, Isaac Kekemeke.

APC Party leaders that signed the statement on behalf of the entire group include Tito Babalola (Akoko North East), Akintunde Olainukan (Ondo East), O. Olumide (Ilaje), Chief. Akeremale (Okitipupa), and Z.O Omoge (Irele).

Others are Dauda Bolakale (Akoko South West),Oluwasaanu Ogunbi (Akoko South East), Alhaji Rauf Gbadeyan(Odigbo), A. Adefulire (Ile Oluji/ Oke-igbo) and J. A Oredola (Ose).

In their own statement, the 18 chairmen of the 203 wards in the entire 18 local government areas of the state also expressed support for the recommendation of the Appeal Committee through a signed statement by their leader, Chief James Olumide Kolawole, in Akure.

According to the statement, the ward chairmen said “As true party leaders in our own rights, we respect the petitions that have been written to the Electoral Appeal Committee, seeking redress as touching the many irregularities that blighted the said gubernatorial primary election”.

“We are confident in the party’s internal mechanism, the NEC, and the Electoral Appeal Committee set up by our party to give a verdict in the coming days, that will be consistent with the stance of integrity that our great party stands for.

“It is to this end that we respect and back the recommendation given by the Appeal Committee, and we hereby, in earnest but patiently, await and will stand by the official outcome from the deliberations of our National Working Committee, and we dissociate ourselves from any desperate move aimed at jettisoning that process.”

One of the LGA Chairmen from Akoko North East, Mr. Tito Babalola, in a separate statement assured the party members and the people of Ondo that the APC will come out stronger from the present impasse and take over the governance in the state.

He said, “We are sure that our great party in Ondo state will come out more united from this phase, and we will rescue the state from the clueless clutches of the incumbent pseudo-government mismanaging the resources of the sunshine state”.

Lawal condemns PDP over call for Buhari’s resignation

    • encourage Nigerians to work for the good of all

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Scandinavian chapter, Ayoola Lawal has vehemently condemned the calls from some quarters for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It will be recalled that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) recently called for the resignation of the President over the current economy situation in the Country, a move Lawal described as insensate and rakish.

According to Lawal in a statement over the weekend, the call for President Buhari’s resignation to instigate chaos by playing on emotion and suffering of the people caused by the same opposition party, is a move that is dead on arrival.

His words: “It is well known and established that the present administration is not the cause of the inevitable recession Nigeria and her people are passing through right now, even if the solution has to be from it.

“I sometimes ask myself what has happened to the values of integrity and honor that Nigerians were once known for. The very mentally sick people, who looted the collective wealth of the Nigerians and presently causing pain and suffering for million of Nigerians, while painting the convincing image and deceiving the world that Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa and the state of our economy is very robust when Nigeria was secretly blending to meet up her financial obligations, are also the very people calling for the resignation of the Mr. President when they can no longer run away from the reality of facing the wrath of the law.

“In the light of the Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC) uncovering of unfathomable stealing and senseless looting, they now want to use the masses as the proxy to achieve the aim they could not naturally achieve by playing on the emotions of suffering Nigerians to ignite chaos, but the truth is that Nigerians are wiser than yesterday.

“Truth be told, times are hard, but Nigerians should brace up for worse things to get better. So help us, God. Many other countries around the world are suffering same. Ours is only bad because past administration failed, like Mr President said, to save for the raining day.

“It is a known fact that the strength of any country is often judged by the strength of her economy and it is undeniable that over dependent on mono-economy for so long without saving and investing for rainy days always lead to pain and suffering for a nation that her leaders intentionally refused to plan ahead for the citizens and be proactive for the well being of the governed.”

The APC Scandinavia chief implore all Nigerians to be patient and continuously demand accountability from elected leaders.

“It will be amazing if the majority of Nigerians in diaspora continue to contribute their bit to the development of Nigeria especially in these trying times and refuse to slip into the half-glass-empty perspective about Nigeria and Africa.

“Let us support the present administration and always remember Mr. President Buhari and his ministers in prayer for success in the revamping of our dear Nation, Nigeria,” he summed.

Make party interest supreme at polls – Adewale

As the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) prepares for some states and local council elections nationwide, Otunba Segun Adewale (OSA) has said the party would have significant victory if all interests within the party across the country bury their grievances and work together as party faithfuls.
The Lagos State Chairman of the PDP said in a statement made available to the press that the party remains the alternative to delivering the suffering masses of this country from the excruciating hardship and pains the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unfortunately inflicted on them through its policies somersault and fake campaign promises.
The PDP Chieftain said “it is time we learn from our past mistakes and forge a common front to ensure total victory for the party in all the coming polls starting from the Edo State gubernatorial elections on Saturday, September 10. This will indeed start to rebuild the confidence of Nigerians towards forming a new PDP led national government in 2019.”
Otunba Adewale also known as Aeroland in business and political quarters urged all with cases in courts to look beyond personal gains with a view to amicably resolve them and forge ahead as a united indivisible party. Adewale  advised that the sufferings of Nigerians in the hands of this accidental government should be paramount in the minds of all party faithful “as there is absolutely no need to transfer our internal disagreements to the helpless masses.

Ondo APC youths call for reconciliation

A group, Progressives Youth League in Ondo state has described the victory of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded primary election, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as divine.

A statement by the group’s Coordinator, Adebowale Akinlosotu, said the primary election was the most credible and most transparent in the history of election in the state.

It urged all other aspirants to support Akeredolu saying in a family contest there is ‘No Victor, No Vanquish.

The statement pleaded with the National Leadership of the Party to call all the aspirants together for a round table meeting to placate those aspirants who are still aggrieved with the outcome of the poll.

The group noted that there is no election in the whole world that could be completely perfect, appealing to the aspirants to see themselves as one in order to  be able to send away the ‘monster’ in Alagbaka.

The statement believed the coming together of all the aspirants would facilitate victory for the APC in the November 26.

It noted that the progressives should unite to form the next government in the state by February next year.
