    Influencer and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji has expressed support for actress Annie Idibia, who has been criticized for her behavior on the reality show Young, Famous & African

    On her Instagram story, Laura urged Annie’s friends who know her true character to refrain from joining strangers in criticizing her. 

    Having experienced reality TV herself, Laura acknowledged the mental challenges these shows can bring and encouraged people to show Annie love and maintain positive energy around her. 

    She stressed the importance of loyalty, urging friends to stand by Annie during tough times rather than succumbing to public criticism.

    Annie Idibia opens up on miscarriage of twin pregnancy

    Annie Idibia, the wife of music icon 2Baba Idibia, has shared the heartbreaking experience of losing twins to a miscarriage last year.

    On the reality show “Young Famous and African,” Annie revealed that 2024 was an incredibly challenging year for her and family.

    With emotional vulnerability, Annie shared that she had been pregnant with twins but suffered a miscarriage.

    She expressed deep sadness and longing for support during that difficult time, wishing she had someone to confide in within her social circle.

    Annie partly said: “You know like, the whole of last year, even in the group I wasn’t coming out enough. I was pregnant for twins. I had a miscarriage the whole time. I wish I had someone in the group that I could actually go like guys, I’m pregnant…. When we lost that it was hard.”

    She addressed her haters, referring to them as “devil and witches/wizards,” telling them to “give up” as her marriage to 2baba has stood the test of time.

    Annie acknowledged that their relationship has had its ups and downs, including breakups and makeups but affirmed unwavering love for her husband. 

    “Even the devil and witches/wizards should give up. 25 years of friendship and some breakup/make-up!! 13 years of marriage!! TWG. See my fine man. LYTID,” she wrote.

    Actress Annie Idibia has shared a heartwarming story about her daughter Olivia’s selfless birthday wish.

    According to Annie, Olivia requested to spend and celebrate her 11th birthday with less privileged children. 

    Annie said she was deeply moved by Olivia’s kind gesture and made her dream a reality.

    Annie, who couldn’t help express her admiration for her daughter’s compassion and generosity, organised a party for 300 underprivileged kids in Ogbombo.

    She wrote on Instagram: “It was our Superstar Birthday she just turned 11. When Daddy and I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday.

    She could’ve asked for anything, but my baby asked for us for an opportunity to celebrate her birthday party with children who aren’t privileged!!!

    “I’m like. Livy, are u sure this is what u really for ur bday? She said: yes, mama, I wanted to do it last year for my 10th. remember I mentioned it last year?” I knew she mentioned it but didn’t take it seriously as we didn’t do any party for her 10th.

    “I no to lie; it got me so teary, and it struck me once again that this child wasn’t only thinking way beyond her age (we always knew that part), but it was her heart.     She went on, “And Mama, remember u used to do this during our own bdays too. It was always really nice, but erm I want an actual party oooo u know now mama everything, music, DJ, games, etc. I just dey look this pikin face as dey she talk am! with so much excitement.

  • There’s a lesson to learn, says Annie Idibia

    Wife of Nigerian music legend 2baba, Annie Idibia, who was recently the face of the Women’s Issue of Savvy Magazine Africa has said that the process of healing takes time.

    The magazine partnered with Facebook and Rabbington Media to train female entrepreneurs and aspiring business. The event which was held on Friday, June 21, at the Facebook NG Hub in Yaba, was centered on empowering women on how to conquer their industry using digital marketing.

    Annie in the Women Issues’ edition speaks on topical issues including: building a brand, family life and the power of healing.

    “Healing takes time, it is a long process even after forgiving a little thing could make you remember. It is a hard thing but when you forgive do not forget because there’s a lesson to learn, there are things I have forgiven but I haven’t healed from,” the 34-year-old award-winning actress and model was quoted on the cover page.

    The publisher of Magazine, Tofunmi Akinseye said that the gathering is an opportunity to shine a light on societal demands of women who aspire to break the glass-ceilings in several industries.

    “Women in business learnt how to carve a niche for their businesses online, got access to use and learn smart digital marketing tools and drive innovation, learnt new ideas and creativity to attract more customers and stand out amidst stiff competition.

    “It’s all about girl power and the tools to truly live every single day to our full potential as entrepreneurs, designers, bosses, scientists, actors, musicians, mothers, sisters, friends, and colleagues.”

    Akinseye, however, added that when women succeed, everybody wins in any given society.

  • 2Face Idibia loses father-in-law to cancer

    Annie Idibia, wife of Nigerian music legend 2baba on Wednesday announced the death of her father, Macaulay as a result of an unsuccessful battle with cancer.

    The 34 year-old Ibadan born actress, model and mother of two from Eket, Akwa Ibom state took to her Instagram handle @annieidibia1 to wish her father farewell.

    “RIP Daddy, You fought Hard #cancersucks #thepainsIsGone,’’ she wrote.

    Meanwhile, some Nigerian celebrities took to the comment section of her Instagram to express their condolences.

    Talented singer @officialwaje wrote, “RIP it is well love.

    Singer, producer and actor, Olubankole Wellington @bankywellington said, “ Condolence dear.’’ @realmercyaigbe wrote, “Accept my condolence.’’

    @Emmanyra said, “ So sorry for your loss dear. May he rest in perfect peace.’’

  • Ooni of Ife hosts 2Face Idibia, wife Annie

    The Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has played host to Nigeria’s music icon, 2Face Idibia and his wife Annie, at his palace.

    The Ooni of Ife’s official Instagram page posted a video of the visit of 2Face Idibia and his wife on Wednesday, where the king expressed his pleasure over the visit.

    He went on to congratulate him on his award at the Obafemi Awolowo University.

    “A great pleasure receiving TuFace, the peace ambassador to the throne of Oduduwa and his adorable wifey, Annie Idibia.

    “I thank God for your giant strides in life so far, especially the fellowship award given to Tuface by the department of Music from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU); Congratulations!!!” he wrote.

    The Ooni also announced that he has given 2Face Idibia a new name ‘Tubobo’ which according to him was because of his never-aging look.

    “You are now also TuBobo; Annie, please don’t get angry about the new name I just gave your husband, it is because he looks much younger every passing day… I bid you greater successes in life. #OoniofIfe #Otisese,” he said.

    The 43 year-old Singer, who is also a songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur had earlier been conferred with the award of the Fellow of the school of music by the Department of Music, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

    The music icon, who has stayed relevant in the Afro-pop scene for two decades and one of the most decorated and successful Afro pop artists in Africa was honoured at Igbinedion University in 2016.

    He is a recipient of several awards including five Headies Awards (Hip-hop award), four Channel O Music Awards, BET Award, MOBO Award, Kora Award, MTV Europe Music Award, World Music Award.

    He has released several albums including; Face 2 Face, Grass to Grace, The Unstoppable, Away and Beyond, The Ascension.
