    I’m tired of pretending to be my husband’s ‘bestie’ – Kassia

    Big Brother Naija contestant Kassia has opened up about the challenges of pretending to be just “besties” with her husband and partner, Kellyrae, in the house.

    The couple, known as DoubleKay, adopted this strategy to avoid revealing their marital status to fellow housemates.

    However, after two weeks of maintaining the charade, Kassia confessed to Biggie during a diary session that it’s becoming difficult for her to cope.

    She expressed frustration at not being able to show affection to Kellyrae, citing tasks like the Aquafina Padi of Life challenge where she had to restrain herself.

    “This whole bestie thing that we are doing is really getting to me, sometimes I just wanna jump on him [Kellyrae] but I can’t because of this whole bestie thing,” she lamented.

    “Most of the tasks that we are asked to do, like the Aquafina Padi of Life task we did yesterday, I couldn’t really express myself because I didn’t want the house to know that we were married. It hasn’t been easy, Big Brother”, she said.

    Kellyrae plans to create a diversion by pretending to be interested in Anita and Handi, hoping to shift attention away from his relationship with Kassia.

    In a conversation with Handi, Ben revealed that Nelly confided in him about her minimum requirement for monthly upkeep from her boyfriend, which she set at N5 million.

    Ben also expressed skepticism about the relationship between Nelly and Sooj, pointing out their significant age difference and Nelly’s high financial demands as potential obstacles.

    He stated that Two of them [Nelly and Sooj] like each other. But Sooj don love up like mad. So now this is the problem, I feel like after the house, they would just vibe. They won’t date long. I’m telling you my own prediction.”

    Onyeka expressed concerns, saying, “My worry in this house is, in the middle of the show, some guys will just say I’m not actually bad… The people who wanted to be in a relationship with me, got bounced and entered another relationship, but the girls don’t even know.”

    She warned that there would be tension after the show, as the women in relationships are unaware they are second options.

    Drama erupted in the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) house on Tuesday night when Chinwe accused Nelly of stealing her 24-karat gold jewelry. 

    The controversy began when Nelly’s close friend, Sooj, returned the jewelry box to Chinwe, claiming it was found in Nelly’s laundry bag.

    Chinwe was incredulous, questioning how her valuable jewelry ended up in Nelly’s possession.

    With tirade of insults, Chinwe labelled Nelly a “thief, Anini, and armed robber.”

    In a recent interview on the Morning Rush show, Evicted housemate Chinne of the Ndi Nne duo has shared her remarkable journey to becoming a Big Brother Naija contestant after auditioning for eight years. 

    After eight years, Chinne finally succeeded on her ninth attempt, and she brought her niece Nne along for the ride.

    In a recent interview on the Morning Rush show, Chinne revealed that she was the driving force behind their duo’s audition, saying, “Actually, it was my idea because I have been trying to go into Big Brother for like 8 years, so every year I kept on trying and trying until this year and it was a dual reason. So I buzzed her up, like, ‘Yo, it’s not going to be a bad idea if we do this together, and the rest is history.”

    Nne said she initially hesitated but eventually warmed up to the idea, saying, “At first, I wasn’t as enthusiastic, but down the line, I saw reason and here we are today o, we made it”.

    Nne emphasised that going into the house with her aunt didn’t hinder her chances.

    She said: “Going into the house with my aunt didn’t mess up my strategy. Our strategy was to be 100% ourselves and authentic and she helped me to be as authentic as possible on the show. The eviction came as a shock because I feel like we were a strong pair and we didn’t deserve to leave that early”.

    Newly evicted BBNaija housemate Nne of the Ndi Nne duo shared her experience of living in the house with her aunt, Chinne. 

    In a recent interview on Outsyd by Pulse, Nne expressed gratitude for having her aunt by her side.

    She said: “I loved having a family member with me, someone who knew me and could take this journey with me. I loved almost every part of being with her, she was the right person to go into the house with. When it comes to things I didn’t like, I can’t think of anything right now because it was mostly good.”

    Nne highlighted the complementary nature of their relationship, with her aunt’s extroverted personality helping to bring her out of her introverted shell. 

    She said: “She was the right person because she is family, she is blood and she understands me. I’m an introvert and she’s an extrovert so we kind of compliment each other about the downsides to each other and where we don’t shine the brightest, the other person helps lift the other person up,” she said.

    Nne and Chinne’s eviction came after Streeze, the custodians of the BBNaija house, exercised their power to evict a pair, following votes from viewers.
