  • BBNaija: Iyanya, Bisola, invite Teddy A to music collaboration

Recently evicted housemate Teddy A has received invitations for music collaborations from Nigerian pop artist Iyanya and BBNaija season two first runner up Bisola.

The two musicians, who are signed on the same management platform, reached out to Teddy A through their Twitter accounts after his eviction on Sunday.

‘Kukere’ crooner, Iyanya wrote @Iyanya, “Yooooo @iamteddya #Biko hit me up once you get into Gidi. Make we enter studio cook banger! #AlphaMale #BBNajia #TMC #BeTheMovement.”

Minutes later, Bisola, who just released a new music single, commented @iambisola, writing: “Bruv @Iyanya, I need to be that studio with you and @iamteddya. Let’s do this! #BBNaija #AlphaMale #TMC #BeTheMovement.”

Meanwhile, other Nigerian stars have been drumming support for Teddy A right after his eviction, especially the growth of his music with some urging him to utilise the platform.

Mavin records boss Don Jazzy wrote on his Twitter handle @donjazzy, “Bam and Teddy will be very fine sha. Win or no win. They are mad talented and ready for the industry. #bbnaija.”

Former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, wrote @siruti, “TeddyA’s screen presence is undeniably extreme. The man is def gonna go places.”

Acclaimed media personality J.J. Omojuwa @omojuwa tweeted, “Teddy A will do outside the house. At least he got the talent and persona to be a star.”

Teddy A was evicted on Sunday after securing total 16.81 per cent of the votes, coming third after Nina and CeeC.

The housemate, who was best known for his musical prowess, spent the most part of his stay in the house glued to his love interest BamBam.

However, in a twist, BamBam was evicted on Saturday after the party, which left Teddy A feeling down as he visibly shed tears.

The ex-housemate reiterated the need to focus on his music now that his time on the show is over.

This leaves CeeC, Nina, Rico Swavey, Miracle, Tobi, Alex, Anto, Lolu and Khloe to continue the battle for the 45 million naira star prize.

  • Double Wahala: Controversies trail Sunday eviction results

Several controversies have trailed BBNaija’s Sunday eviction results, as concerns raised from various quarters suggest the results might have been ‘rigged’.

This is the first time the show, which is in its third season, has been accused of tampering with votes for gains and ratings.

Prior to the show, several viewers on Twitter had suggested that they knew what the results were going to be, due to perceived ‘favouritism’ on the part of the organisers.

    A Twitter handle @BBNaija Leaks wrote on Saturday, “So as we promised informing you On This Week Leaked Result;
    1st-Nina
    2nd-Teddy A
    3rd-Cee c
    4th-BamBam

“Which One or Two of the names above would be evicted from the #BBNaija Game.”

Few hours later, the same handle tweeted, “So information just got to us that due to our accurate leaks, Teddy A would be the victim(eviction) of a flipped script tonight ’cause @BBNaija and his crew are trying to save face.”

In response to the trending ‘leaks’, host of the show Ebuka Obi-Uchendu tweeted @Ebuka, “Predictions are not leaks.”

However, on Sunday, the show came under ‘fire’ again when a viewer calculated the votes gotten by each nominated housemates and revealed that they did not add up to hundred per cent.

According to the votes, Nina had 44.00 per cent, CeeC had 24.38 per cent, Teddy A had 16.81 per cent and BamBam gathered 13.37 per cent.

Highlighting the errors, a viewer @ib_Granville tweeted, “See what was wrong with last night’s results
    1) Votes don’t sum up to 100%.
    2) Wrong display, it’s usually in form of a bar chart with their names, not pictures.
    3) That’s not the official portrait for BamBam, a different picture was used.
    @BBNaija ???”

Minutes later, show organisers responded to the queries through their official Instagram handle @bigbronaija, writing: “Dear viewers, an incorrect percentage was published for Nina during this night’s eviction show.

“While we deeply regret this error, we wish to state that the audited and verified percemtage for Nina is 45.44 per cent as opposed to the previously published 44 per cent.

“We thank you for your usual support and understanding,” they said.

Viewers, however, have expressed deep concerns over the authencity of the show results, some fearing that their favorites might be affected.

Despite the apology issued by the show organisers some other viewers have taken to social media to table their disappointments.

@isibor.grace wrote on Instagram, “I hope you won’t make mistake to announce the real winner.”

@joy.oj wrote, “How many other housemates have you done this to? You decided to post this because you were called out for the missing 1.44 per cent. Continue.”

Meanwhile, Nina, CeeC, Tobi, Miracle, Lolu, Anto, Alex, Rico Swavey and Khloe are left to battle for the star prize worth 45 million naira.

  • #BBNaija: Teddy-A in tears as Bambam exits show

In a shocking turn of events, Big Brother Housemate, Bamike, popularly known as Bambam has exited the show.
This occurred immediately after the Saturday Night Party where all housemates were dressed in their traditional attires.
Ebuka, the host of the Sunday Live Show was the harbinger of bad news.
He made an appearance during the party as he took his time to relate with housemates, sharing jokes while inspecting their closet.
Situations changed when Ebuka announced that another guest would join the housemates. The housemates were at a loss as they kept guessing who this new guest might be, not knowing that another plan has been hatched by Biggie to surprisingly evict Bambam.
The door opened and a Deloitte representative shows up. He dropped the envelope as Ebuka disclosed  that one housemate would be evicted.
Bambam turned out to be the housemate with the least vote and was quickly showed  the exit door.  She did after sharing a passionate kiss with Teddy-A to the surprise of other housemates.
An overjoyed Nina was so happy she wasn’t evicted as  the news left Khloe, Cee-C dazed. Teddy-A couldn’t hold back his tears for Bambam.
  • I would have slapped Lolu, says BBNaija returnee Anto

An highly emotional Anto breaks down during a diary session. The once evicted housemate who was voted in last Sunday alongside Khloe, found it hard to keep it together in the diary room while conversing with Big Brother on the issue of Lolu.

Earlier on, Lolu was trying to defend himself by clearing issues with Anto, telling her he chose her over his girlfriend outside of the house.

This happened after Anto found out that Lolu has been sending secret messages to a lover outside the house and confided in Big Brother.

She expressed her intentions of slapping him if they weren’t on a reality TV show.

“Lolu has been sending secret messages to someone in the diary room. I would have slapped Lolu when I saw him. He knows a lot of things about me and I feel I was being led on,” Anto told Big Brother.

Biggie who wanted to know Anto’s next step, asked her what she intends to do next. But Anto was done with the relationship. She told Biggie Lolu betrayed her trust.

“I am trying my best to deal with it now. I will try my best to carry on and I don’t know if I can trust him. I naturally have trust issues.”

Anto who struggled with tears couldn’t hide her disappointment towards finding more about Lolu in the real world.

“Now I know he is obviously keeping something from me,” Anto added.

  • BBNaija’s Teddy A explains ‘smoking’ habit

Self-acclaimed Alpha male and Big Brother housemate, Teddy A has revealed why he puffs cigarettes during his stay in the house.

In a diary session with Biggie, TeddyA revealed that cigarettes are his means of escape from the petty drama in the house.

He also revealed he wasn’t down for the continued arguments and the general discontent amongst the housemates as he pleaded for more creative sessions to express himself.

“I am not down for petty arguments. That’s the reason why I smoke. For me, it is a means of escape. It just calms me down.”

He also stated that he saw fellow housemate, Tobi Bakre as a competition and admitted to feeling wrong vibes when around Miracle.

“I feel Tobi usually put me up for eviction as I have done with him overtime. I see him as a competition.

“He (Tobi) is one I can share a few drinks with and relate to, compared to Miracle who I feel wrong vibes with whenever he is around.”

Teddy A expressed his desire to work with a producer while craving more productive studio sessions alongside Rico.

“I look forward to having a producer around. I feel there is a little dose of creativity here and I want more studio time.”

Meanwhile, Teddy A, alongside CeeC, BamBam, and Nina are the four housemates up for possible eviction this Sunday.

The four had the highest nominations after Alex nominated Teddy A and BamBam; Anto nominated CeeC and BamBam; BamBam nominated CeeC and Nina; CeeC nominated BamBam and Teddy A; Khloe nominated CeeC and Alex; Lolu nominated Miracle and Nina; Miracle nominated CeeC and Lolu; Nina nominated Lolu and CeeC; Rico Swavey nominated CeeC and Teddy A; Teddy A nominated Miracle and Nina and Tobi nominated BamBam and Teddy A.

As Head of House, Tobi only got immunity from the nominations and not a veto power to save and replace any housemate.

  • BBNaija: I need to set Cee-C straight- Khloe

Returning Housemate, Khloe has expressed the need to set Cee-C straight in the house.

This has been coming long before now on her twitter page @kokobykhloe_a where Khloe has continually made claims to make Cee-C go through hell if she per chance makes it back to the house.

A wish now readily granted, Khloe has promised to set Cee-C straight and give us all the drama we’ve all been waiting for as reports going around has it that it house has been boring without the queen of drama, Khloe.

“I need to set Cee-C straight. I am gonna be a big sister and tell her to calm down. I have been there before and got disqualified,” She admitted to Ebuka while on the Sunday Live Show.

Speaking on the lessons learnt, she said she has learnt to take things calm.

“I have learnt to shut my mouth and take things calm.” She said.

Being an all time TeddyA fave and paddy, Ebuka wanted to know if she could build their relationship back to something and exclude Bambam out of the picture.

“I am down with anything, anything can happen,” Khole stated.

  • My experience in BBNaija, by evictee Angel

As a lover of books, Big Brother Naija’s Angel Awotarigha was on the ‘Read it, tell it’ segment of Top Radio 90.9FM. He spoke with Georg Nakanda after his eviction about his experience in the House, Cee-C and Ahneka.

You’ve been setting the internet on fire, just five weeks in the house?

    I’m actually amazed

I read somewhere a journalist wrote that you were the ‘Voice of Reason’. What’s up with that?

It’s ironic because going into the house; I knew I would be the voice of reason. Generally as a lover of knowledge and books, I’m not driven by emotions or sentiments. White is white, black is black. None is good and none is bad, it is what it is. When I got into the house, whenever people would have fights they would come to me. Maybe it was because I was the old papa of the house, I mean I was the oldest in the house. I’m about eleven years older than Nina. Yeah! That’s a lot!!! I don’t know if it was about that? But yeah people always brought their problems to me and we walked through it together. We talked and I gave logical approaches to whatever it was.

The house obviously misses the logical grand master?

    The voice of reason

Tell us a little about the Ahneka and Cee-C’s issues?

It’s a very touchy issue, but I’ll shed some light on that. Let’s talk first about the Cee-C issue. Cee-C has been getting some unnecessary bad press and having lived with her for five weeks, I can tell you that she’s not half as bad as people make her sound. They make her sound like some crazy girl who just wants to go off and annoy everyone, but that’s not who she is. She is simply a highly opinionated girl who likes to air her views. She is a lawyer for God’s sake and was trained to defend herself…

    And defend people…?

Yeah, and defend people. So if you come off as offensive towards her, she will defend herself. Why is everybody going off like she’s one mad girl. I get offended when I hear that. She’s my friend. A lot of people who bad mouth the house mates don’t even watch the show.

Great, shed some light on the Ahneka issue?

When I got out, I heard so much about how I was a gossip, yeah hope I can clarify that. I had a plan which the audience missed. Ahneka was under a lot of heat, housemates and so on…so I came up with an idea to take the heat and divert attention

    Good cop, bad cop?

Good cop, bad cop! So I became the bad cop… said lots of things which she already knew of.. Viewers missed this because it’s a 24 hour surveillance which they can’t all put out for the viewers. I mean with more than 40 cameras in the house, and you can only see just a few at a time. You see less than you should know actually.

Big brother is over, have you caught up with the news about a Nigerian being the present longest reader in the world?

Are you serious? I haven’t heard that yet. Well but you know I love to read a whole lot and the biggest problem I had in the big brother house was “I couldn’t read.”  The way my brain works is I gather information from reading, break it down and build up on it. Anyway I wasn’t reading as much in the house, that began to depress me, at some point I had to lean on just music and that was taken away from me too. I felt isolated and later had to reach out and interact with other house mates.

How did you form a reading habit?

I never even knew I liked to read, as a child, my parents were liberal and they let us watch a lot of regulated TV, educative children’s products. Discovery channel, documentaries, things that moulded how I saw the world. We had last of the wild, as a kid my parents would buy the cassettes we would watch and I got to know a lot about animals and science. They bought us a lot of encyclopaedias to compliment these, Charlie Browns, Funk and Wagner’s… You know for children. So I got used to reading without even knowing I was reading. You could also say I never liked school because it became boring at some point. I needed to know much more than the basic which I already learnt during leisure at home. At some point, I realised I knew something about everything. So, whenever I’m interested in something, I read up on everything about that thing. I advise people to develop a habit of studying.

So what’s next with you now that you’re living in a post Big Brother world?

I run a Tech Company and a movie studio. The movie studio has some movies that will be released at the end of the year and the tech company is working on some apps that hopefully will amaze the world, they possibly will be revolutionary.

Who are your five favourite authors?

I read a lot of non-fiction, Sun Tzu, Robert Greene, Robert Kiyosaki, John Maxwell, Brian Tracy. You can also have some of Deepak Chopra… They teach you how to stay positive.

I think every young person should turn away from the negative energy and look for books to groom their minds. That’s the greatest weapon you have against the world. Knowledge is power, the more you know the better. Never let anybody make you feel bad because you learnt something that requires knowledge.

  • Voters return Anto and Khloe to BBNaija House

Four weeks to the end of the Big Brother Naija show, evicted housemates Anto and Khloe have returned to the house.
With no eviction on Sunday, the customary day for evictions, the returning housemates join the remaining nine housemates for a second chance to win the grand prize of N45m and a brand new SUV.
Big Brother, while telling the housemates there would be no evictions forgave them their ‘transgressions’ and cancelled all the strikes against them.
And according to host of the weekly eviction party, Ebuka, Big Brother would sneak in both housemates into the house by 3am.
Recall that it is only last week that Anto was evicted from the house.
She got the highest votes amongst evicted housemates from viewers to earn
Joining Anto to make a return to the House is Khloe.
Speaking with Ebuka, Anto promised she was bringing more drama into the house, following comments she had read on social media.
On her relationship with Lolu whom she was romantically attached to, Anto said she was going to confront him after discovering he had someone ‘outside.’
The other housemate, Khloe, was disqualified alongside her partner, K-Brule after committing three strikes.
“Koko is the drama,” she said, speaking to Ebuka.
    “I’m back.”
Armed with information from outside, Khloe said she had learnt ‘a lot of things’ including to ‘shut her mouth.’ She also revealed some tactics to deal with the remaining housemates.
“I’m just going to be a big sister and tell her, babe, you need to calm down” she revealed of her intention of relating with Cee-C. She also disclosed that other people wanted her ‘to put Alex straight.’
Of relationships, she also said some people wanted her to date Tobi but she said, ‘he’s not my kind of guy. But let’s see what is going to happen.’
She also said she was going to make sure ‘nobody is sleeping’ in the house.
Oblivious of the arrangements, the other housemates are not aware of the twist the reality tv show tagged ‘Double Wahala’ assumed last week.
The Nigerian artiste that performed at the event was Waje.
  • Why Bambam, Rico may leave BBNaija tomorrow

Following the exit of Anto from the Big Brother Naija show last Sunday, tension of eviction continues, as another housemate will be sacked during the live eviction show tomorrow.

Recall that The Nation predicted that Anto or Bambam may be evicted last Sunday, going by comments by fans which indicate the popularity of each housemate.

It has been observed that the popularity of Bambam has not improved just like that of her partner, Teddy A. Bambam has been widely criticized for being pretentious, thus, with Anto out, Bambam may likely be the housemate to be evicted tomorrow, unless something unusual happens.

The unusual happened last week when after publishing the results of the votes, it was observed that Lolu scored higher than Teddy A whom some believe is one of the top contenders for the coveted prize of N45 million. Such unusual situation fired by fans of Lolu to improve his chances at the prize, is what Bambam needs to scale through tomorrow’s hurdle.

As it stands, the two housemates with less popularity among fans are Bambam and Rico, whose popularity outside the house has not been so tested.

  • BBNaija: You’ve got no game- Twitter user to Khloe

Shots have been fired this morning between Ex-Big Brother housemate and Twitter user, @badgalblaze1.

Recall that yesterday during the live show, Biggie made a new announcement that accommodates two evicted housemates back into the house.

Ever since this announcement several evicted housemates have eyed a return back to the house. Inclusive of Anto, Ahneeka and Khloe. Clamour has also gone round that Ifu wanted a pleasant return.

Things went awry when in a bid to up the ante, Khloe gave reasons for her return to the house which is to put Cee-C in her place based on a popular demand basis.

Khloe also went further to state she was going to bring more drama into her house while also admitted she wasn’t scared of anyone.

This resulted in an epic clapback by @badgalblaze1 saying Khloe’s got no game and her disqualification shall stand.

Of course Khloe got angry and described her entry into the house as an achievement asking @badgalblaze1 what hers was.

This constituted into another reply but Khloe would have none of it, so she chose to block @badgalblaze1 from Twitter page.
