    Social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has revealed that music producer, Don Jazzy, is the generous mystery donor behind a N100 million contribution to his newly established Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

    Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, made a significant donation to support VeryDarkMan’s philanthropic efforts.

    In a video shared on his social media, VeryDarkMan expressed his initial disbelief when he saw the large sum in his bank account, suspecting it could be an error or setup after contacting others who denied making the transfer.

    His doubts were put to rest when Don Jazzy confirmed he was the donour, intending to support the NGO’s cause.

    Popular music producer ID Cabasa has praised Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy as one of the smartest individuals in the music industry.

    In a recent interview, Cabasa attributed Don Jazzy’s success to his strategic collaboration with skitmakers, which has earned him the loyalty and support of the content creator community.

    Cabasa said by featuring in skits, Don Jazzy connected with content creators, ensuring that whenever he releases new music, they’ll post about it freely.

    “Don Jazzy is one of the smartest people in this industry. What Don Jazzy did is connect with them (content creator) so that anytime he drops, all of them will post,” he said.

    Cabasa advised emerging artists to follow Don Jazzy’s lead and collaborate with content creators to amplify their work.

    He cited Kizz Daniel as another example of a superstar who has successfully fostered relationships with content creators.

    The legendary producer also emphasised the importance of working with younger creatives.

    “I work a lot with Gen Z because they are full of inspiration while people from my set have experience”, he added.

    The post elicited an outpouring of condolences and support from fans and friends, who offered words of comfort and prayed for her soul to continue resting in peace.

    My artists don’t release song same day as Wizkid or Asake – Don Jazzy

    Music executive and CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, has shared his strategy to avoid releasing music on the same day as Wizkid or Asake.

    In a recent podcast interview with Fisayo Fosudo, Don Jazzy said he considers it “suicidal” to compete with the successful artists, who dominate Nigeria’s streaming era.

    To avoid clashing with Wizkid and Asake’s releases, Don Jazzy has shifted Mavin Records’ traditional Friday release date to Wednesdays or Thursdays.

    This move ensures his artists, including Rema, Ayra Starr, and Crayon, get maximum attention and visibility.

    He said: “We [Mavin] are moving from the traditional Friday release date to Wednesdays and Thursdays because there are no more Fridays [without another artist dropping a song].

    “If my artiste is to drop a song or project on a Friday and Wizkid or Asake is also releasing that day, I will move our release date because you don’t want to just die a natural death.”

    He made this comment in response to a social media post accusing him of frequently interacting with attractive women on Instagram.

    The user with the handle @Ugbede_ wrote, “Once you open any baddies page on Instagram the first thing you’ll see is ‘followed by Don Jazzy’. That man is everywhere.”

    Reposting the tweet, Don Jazzy said, “I be Ashawo na. Na why I never marry.”

    Music executive Don Jazzy and Grammy-winning singer Wizkid have resolved their online feud following a recent social media dispute.

    Don Jazzy expressed his gratitude after Wizkid endorsed his signee, Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, “The Year I Turned 21.”

    Wizkid had endorsed the album, which was released on Friday, May 31, on his X handle.

    Sharing the album cover and streaming link, Wizkid wrote: “Superstar”.

    Don Jazzy reposted Wizkid’s tweet with the caption; “Thanks Big Wiz.”

    After a fan alerted Wizkid to the post, he reacted by saying, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

    Don Jazzy reacted by unfollowing Wizkid on Instagram.

    Some music lovers on social media have been comparing Young Jonn to Don Jazzy since the former YBNL producer switched to singing.

    Reacting via his X handle, Jazzy said it was an honour to be compared with Young Jonn.
