    West Ham joins Odemwingie’s chase

West Ham United is looking to capitalise on the failure of Crystal Palace and Fulham to secure the service of Osaze Odemwingie.

The out of favour West Brom striker was rumoured to be on the verge of moves to Ian Holloway’s side and Martin Jol’s side, but both fell through, MTNFootball.com reports.

That has left the door open for Sam Allardyce to add some panache alongside Andy Carroll, according to The Times.

West Ham officials have turned their attentions to the Nigerian, having failed to agree terms with the former Chelsea striker Kalou – who reportedly wanted assurances of a starting role within the Hammers attack for next season.

Al Nasr of Dubai is also considering increasing the initial offer for the former Lokomotiv Moscow striker.

Al Nasr owners had asked WBA to inform them what they considered to be an acceptable fee by Tuesday, after their initial bid of £850,000 was rejected.

But that deadline has now passed without further communication from ‘The Hawthorns,’ leaving ‘The Blue Wave’ to look elsewhere for summer recruits.

    More clubs join Osaze chase

West Ham, Sunderland and Fulham have joined other English Premiership League clubs chasing the unsettled West Brom striker Osaze Odemwingie, MTNFootball.com reports.

The 31-year-old forward has been looking for a route out of “The Hawthorns” for some time, most especially since January’s failed bid to secure Queens Park Rangers’ deal and Crystal Palace is in pole post to land him, MTNFootball.com reports.

MTNFootball.com understands that West Ham United, Hull City, Sunderland and Fulham would all welcome Osaze into their ranks – joining Crystal Palace in the chase for his services.

He still has a year left to run on his contract at WBA, where he is valued at 2.5 million pounds.

The estranged Nigerian international was recently kept away from the first-team squad training on return for pre-season training, fueling more speculations he is closer to the exit door at the club.

Sky Sports understands four Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie.

The 31-year-old forward has been looking for a route out of The Hawthorns for some time, with a deadline day fiasco in January seeing him fail to secure a switch to Queens Park Rangers.

With there being little chance of him being offered a clean slate with the Baggies, it is expected that the Nigeria international will be on the move this summer.

As a proven goalscorer at the highest level, it comes as no surprise to find that numerous clubs are readying an approach for his services.

It is understood that West Ham United, Hull City, Sunderland and Fulham would all welcome Odemwingie into their ranks – joining Crystal Palace in the chase for his services.

He still has a year left to run on his contract at West Brom, but reports suggest that a bid of around £1.5million could be enough to lure the Baggies to the negotiating table.
