    Afrobeats sensation Joeboy has confidently predicted that Manchester United will take home the Premier League title in the 2024/2025 season. 

    He made this bold statement on the Premier League Show, urging fans to keep their fingers crossed. 

    As a die-hard ‘Red Devils’ fan, Joeboy is thrilled about the departure of head coach Erik ten Hag, stating that he had ample opportunities to prove himself but failed to deliver results.

    It’s worth noting that Manchester United has a rich history in the Premier League, with 13 title wins under their belt since the league’s inception in 1992.

    Their last title win was in the 2012/2013 season under the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

    Joeboy unveils first record label artist Kvng Vidarr

    Afrobeat singer, songwriter and label boss Joseph Akinwale, popularly known as Joeboy, has officially announced Kvng Vidarr as the first artist to join his record label, Young Legend.

    Joeboy wrote on Instagram: “Super excited to announce our first talent under Young Legend! Welcome to the family, @kvngvidarr. His EP drops this Friday – show him some love!”

    Kvng Vidarr, born Momoh Oshiotseameh Luke, hails from Edo State and grew up in Ikorodu, Lagos.

    This signing follows Joeboy’s launch of Young Legend in February, after parting ways with emPawa Africa, owned by Mr. Eazi.

    He also signed a record deal with Warner Music, a US-based company facilitating global music distribution from his label.

    Joeboy described the launch of Young Legend as the “dawn of a new era” and released a documentary showcasing his journey.

     Scheduled to support Joeboy’s performance the Ibadan Premiere BlockParty is an exceptional lineup of DJs and hype men known as the BlockParty Radio.

     The BlockParty Radio features budding disc jockeys that include DJ Titanium, Maze x Mxtreme, and SmallztheDJ. Complementing the BlockParty Radio team is the trio of hype men, Livewire, MIA, and Tolu Daniels.

    Singer Joseph Akinfenwaa, aka Joeboy, has stated the inspiration behind his hit single ‘Better’ is to drive home the negative impact of domestic violence on women. 

    In a recent interview with media personality Vivz, Joeboy revealed that he wrote the song to raise awareness about domestic violence against women.

    He expressed his concern about the prevalence of domestic abuse in African society, where women often face mistreatment.

    Praising the song, the host said: “‘Better’ is my favourite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman that has been treated badly by another man.”

    Joeboy said: “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women.”

    According to him, the easiest way for a man to know if a woman genuinely likes him is if she is ready to spend on him by buying gifts randomly.

    Speaking in a recent episode of Madame Joyce’s ‘Cocktails & Takeaways’ podcast, Joeboy said: “The easiest way to know if a woman genuinely likes you is if she’s ready to spend on you.

    “It doesn’t have to be anything crazy [expensive]. It can be just a situation of ‘Oh! I saw this shirt that I really like and I think it will look good on you.

    “Three months into a relationship, you can start expecting gifts from your partner. It doesn’t have to be something expensive, just little things.

    “A lot of people don’t understand that men are not used to getting gifts so whenever they get a gift even if it’s socks, we appreciate it a lot.”

    During a recent appearance in the latest episode of Madame Joyce’s ‘Cocktails & Takeaways’ podcast, Joeboy said he believes in love and marriage.

    Joeboy revealed he believes in love and marriage, emphasising the importance of commitment in relationships.

    He expressed that he would rather be in a committed relationship which he characterized as “pure intense helpless love” than settle for anything less.

    His words: “My current relationship is like pure, intense helpless love. I believe in love and marriage to an extent… The person I am with now, I can be with her for life.

    “If I don’t see myself being with somebody for life, I’m not going to be in a committed relationship. I would rather let’s just be seeing ourselves but no commitment.”

    This statement aligns with his previous disclosure in a 2023 interview where he mentioned spending approximately N50 million on his current girlfriend over two years, indicating a significant investment in their relationship.

    He however prefers to keep his girlfriend’s identity concealed to protect his private life from social media scrutiny.

    Afrobeats singer Joseph Akinfenwa popularly known as Joeboy has called on colleagues to support local awards.

    According to him, African awards should be valued more over foreign awards.

    He spoke when he appeared on The Big Convo podcast where he argued that the Grammys is an American award show despite its worldwide recognition.

    He also called on Afrobeats stars to support award shows in the continent rather than pay attention to the Grammys.

    “I think we should unapologetically be ourselves and also empower our institutions here in Africa,” he said.

    “Grammys is a great award but it is still an American award. It is just seen as a global award because of its positioning.

    “But we make it look like that it is the biggest award an African artist can ever get. Why don’t we show up for our awards and plan it properly?

    “If they did not show up for their awards, it wouldn’t be as great as it is now. I know there is money to be made there but we need to return home and invest.

    “At the end of the day, we will all have to come back. So it is all about making sure our infrastructure and institutions are growing.”

    Singer Joeboy has asserted that a number of social media trolls are not in love with themselves.

    He stated this in an interview on 3FM Drive with Chrystal Kwame-Aryee where he said the act of “trolling” is a reflection of how online trolls feel about themselves.

    He revealed: “I feel like love can be the solution or love is the solution to a lot of things because people will treat themselves better if they truly love themselves.

    “And I feel like sometimes when I see trolls on the internet, I think it’s an expression about the way they feel about themselves,” he said.

    Afrobeats singer Joseph Akinfenwa popularly known as Joeboy has stated he wouldn’t have been on any social media platform if he wasn’t an artist.

    He opened up about his reserved personality, stressing that he can do away with social media for a long time.

    The songwriter disclosed this to Chrystal Kwame-Aryee on 3FM Drive.

    According to him, he would not even be active on WhatsApp, one of the common social networking apps.

    “For sure, 100 percent. If I wasn’t making music, I would not have a social media account. You will probably see me on WhatsApp and I will not be posting anything, maybe my profile picture will be there for like four years ago without any update, that’s the kind of person I am. I can do without social media,” he said

    Joeboy further explained his current presence on social media is only to promote his music brand and his craft, if not he wouldn’t have been on the platform.

    “If you have a brand or business to sell, I totally understand that. You have to be online, keep people updated about what is going on and that is very important.

    “But for me if I wasn’t doing any of that, I would not go be on social media at all,” he added.
