  • BBNaija: You’ve got no game- Twitter user to Khloe

Shots have been fired this morning between Ex-Big Brother housemate and Twitter user, @badgalblaze1.

Recall that yesterday during the live show, Biggie made a new announcement that accommodates two evicted housemates back into the house.

Ever since this announcement several evicted housemates have eyed a return back to the house. Inclusive of Anto, Ahneeka and Khloe. Clamour has also gone round that Ifu wanted a pleasant return.

Things went awry when in a bid to up the ante, Khloe gave reasons for her return to the house which is to put Cee-C in her place based on a popular demand basis.

Khloe also went further to state she was going to bring more drama into her house while also admitted she wasn’t scared of anyone.

This resulted in an epic clapback by @badgalblaze1 saying Khloe’s got no game and her disqualification shall stand.

Of course Khloe got angry and described her entry into the house as an achievement asking @badgalblaze1 what hers was.

This constituted into another reply but Khloe would have none of it, so she chose to block @badgalblaze1 from Twitter page.

  • BBNaija: Cee-C feels threatened by me – Anto

Ex-Big Brother Housemate, Anto said Cee-C feels threatened by her during her stay in the house.

The cool, calm and collected Anto revealed this interesting tit bit when asked about her relationship with Tobi where she revealed that she would have loved to purse a relationship with him; describing Lolu as a platonic friend.

“Tobi is one of the persons I would love to purse a relationship in the house and possibly outside it but he has already been romantically involved with Cee-C,” Anto said.

When Ebuka asked Anto of the possibility of another love blossoming outside of the house. She responded that she would like it but isn’t too keen about it.

She also stated that Tobi was childish and Cee-C had continually seen her as a threat, linking her exit from the show to her.

It finally panned out as true but with a shocker twist when Anto realised she was also nominated for eviction by Bambam as well.

Anto was put up for eviction based on the fact that both Bambam and Cee-C saw her as a threat, as well as competitive amongst others.

  • BBNaija: Highlights from Last Night’s Tobi and Cee-C Drama (A recap)

Every Saturday Night is incomplete without some light drama from our favourites, Tobi and Cee-C.

While their argument ranges from love to sexual harassments and onto intimate moments shared, their argument always affects everyone in the house.

Tonight wasn’t any different as a huge argument slowly began to erupt between Cee-C and Tobi over the events of her attitude from Thursday through the Samvita contest till early Sunday morning.

Cee-C and Tobi had seemed to have settled the issue initially until he went to seek the advice of his small council in persons of Rico, Alex and Anto.

Tobi really felt sad that he crossed the line in calling Cee-C a “silly bitch,” one that he agreed was a slip of thoughts buried in the innermost recesses of his mind. How it got all out was his dilemma and he sought advice from the ever wise sage, Anto.

She declared that people were supposed to be happy and not sad. But that didn’t end there; Tobi faulted Alex for not pulling his attention to his disrespect, one that Alex was apologetic for not reminding him on time. Rico balanced the whole equation by telling him to own up to his mistakes, one that Tobi agreed to do once he found the way forward.

An advice Anto emphasized at length.
Cee-C watched all these drama from the kitchen and requested his presence thereafter.

    Cee-C and Tobi has become a topic – Cee-C

An emotional Cee-C became so angry with the continued drama between her and Tobi. It is obvious she really loves him a and doesn’t want him off so easily and yet she still doesn’t want him to go. So, she begs him, blaming her frowning face and bad attitude as her issues and not his.

“Everything should not always be about you,” she said.

“Let me be silly. People are having worst issues outside but with us, there is no issue. I don’t know what is the way forward. Have you ever done something that you thought was wrong?

Tobi shrugged, saying all he’s ever done has been superb thus far. Cee-C found it difficult to believe but she let that slide as she sought a way to end their continued Saturday drama.

Cee-C and Tobi’s issue had better not come into the house, it is negative- Alex

Despite having Tobi as her sworn buddy; Alex would have none of the Saturday Night Drama this time. She felt Cee-C and Tobi should just cut the crap and settle the issue for good.

” Don’t bring this issue into the house,” she warned the duo.

“Their fight always involves everyone in the house. It goes from the Party, to the garden and then to the house and the rooms and we can no longer sleep again. I don’t want trouble,” she issued a second warning, anticipating Cee-C and Tobi’s drama to escalate in seconds.

I don’t want things to be cozy between us- Tobi

Immediately after taking Anto’s submission that when an issue becomes recurrent; it is unsolved, Tobi moves to severe ties with Cee-C.

Tobi gives Cee-C the option. “Can we be cool?” He asks. Cool means just a platonic friendship and not getting into my space.

Clearly Tobi wants out of his entanglement with Cee-C for good and is definitely eyeing Anto as his new eye candy. Cee-C senses trouble but needs the closure of Tobi and would not drop the guard off her man.

We have become a topic. Let’s stop giving other Housemates who don’t have as much issues as we do to have things to talk about us. You don’t hear what they say behind your back, Cee-C barked. She begins to urge for a united front but Tobi is done.

“Can we be cool Cee-C? Thursday till Saturday you gave me attitudes,” Tobi snaps back.

“There is no issue between us,” Cee-C clarifies.

“I don’t have an attitude. The drama is too much. The 3 weeks before this madness was real. So it is always normal for me to react.” Cee-C admits too much and is very close to telling Tobi how she really feels. But Tobi has moved on, he keeps on demanding answers.

“I don’t want things to be cozy between us,” Tobi says, more determined to kick Cee-C out for good.

But Cee-C plays the Anto card. She tells Tobi he is falling for someone and it would sound funny of which Tobi giggles. He knows what she is implying.

“I am trying to move on but I feel you are getting close to a particular person because of me,” Cee-C finally admits. She keeps pushing Tobi and Tobi who is clearly determined to move on keeps telling Cee-C off. It is obvious the emotionally weak Tobi is finally dead and a new one has now resurrected.

“If this drama is not going the way it should, then I will opt out. This is not the attitude I want,” Tobi puts his feet down.

So much for a love that has turned cold as this year’s lovebirds continue to amp up the stereo. Will the Tobi and Cee-C shop ever set sail? Only time will tell.

  • BBNaija: I was beaten for acting Drama – Cee-C

Cynthia Nwadiora, also known as Cee-C in the Nigeria TV Reality Show, Big Brother Naija, has recalled her foremost days in pursing her acting career.

While in a discussion with fellow Housemate, Rico Swavey, Cee-C admitted to being beaten up severally by her parents whenever she acted any playlet or drama scene in her childhood.

“I have always been like this; I have always been dramatic,” She stated.

Cee-C told Rico that her best moment was quitting her job at the law firm and settling for acting. According to her, her life has been better ever since and it didn’t take her much time to achieve the stardom she so desired.

While Rico blamed circumstances as obstacles that can stop one from identifying their specific talent in time; Cee-C believed that many Parents did not do enough to push their children towards their dreams.

“We need to be better parents than the ones before us. Our parents didn’t do well. The best thing that can ever happen is for a child to be supported by their parents. I was beaten for acting Drama,” Cee-C said.

She finally urged parents to support their children immensely.

“Do all you can for the well being of your child. We can’t understand things as children, only parents can. Do well to support your children in achieving their dreams,” She advised.

  • Nigeria is sick and empty- Wole Soyinka

Renowned Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka has described Nigeria as sick and empty, deserving of the term “shithole” as described by United States President, Donald Trump.

Soyinka said this while speaking at the Ripples Nigerian Dialogue titled “Rebuilding trust in a Divided Nigeria,” held at The Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.

“We have become laughing stocks in the eyes of the public.

“We have earned the term of shithole. Nigeria is sick and empty. Some retrogressive forces won’t just stop. Everything Nigeria touches rusts.”

He condemned the humiliation of Nigerians by  military personnel, stating that the humiliation of Nigerians led him to relocating abroad.

“The treatment of Nigerians by the military led me to relocating to a saner clime. I remember invading Obasanjo’s residence in Lagos and challenging him concerning the way Nigerians were being treated. It is a disgrace to us, as a nation. We have been left behind in nearly every field.

“There are lessons to be learnt from the diaspora. We need to peep across the Atlantic to see how other countries have been faring,” Soyinka said.

Drawing illustrations from his lecture titled “From Miyetti to Haiti: Notes from a Solidarity Visit,” Soyinka emphasized the need to end slavery in our  society.

Soyinka emphasized the need of looking in the mirror to solve Nigerian problems and encouraged  youths to resist the passage of the Hate Speech bill.

The round table featured  Soyinka, Professor Pat Utomi, represented by Mr Rasheed Adegbenro, Ex Governor Peter Obi and Dr. (Mrs) Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi.

The session was moderated by former Presidential spokesman Reuben Abati.

  • BBNaija: My positivity has kept me in the house – Rico

Rico reveals why he has continued to shake off eviction in the house.

His reason while consoling a rather unhappy Alex was due to “positivity” and abiding by the “fruits of the spirit.”

Alex who was unable to get over Leo and the love they shared in the past, sought solace from Rico Swavey, a housemate who was keen to share his secrets of success.

“The reason why people vote for me is because I am always positive,” Rico said.

“I see light in dark and see good in the bad.

“Positive vibes is like magnet. Do not attract negative vibes. You are dealing with humans and not rice and beans, bolts or nuts.”

Rico who went further to add biblical excerpts to his way of life, alluded the fruits of the spirit to why he was always cool, calm and collected. He explained that this path has brought him only peace and positivity and encouraged Alex to do same.

“I focus on a good and positive mindset every time I wake up. Yes, there are times you lose balance but you ask for grace to carry on,” Rico added.

  • Paradigm Initiative Commends Passage of Digital Rights Bill

The Nigerian Senate has today passed the Digital Rights and Freedom Bill, following in the footsteps of the Nigerian House of Representatives which passed the Bill on December 19, 2018.

In a statement following the passage of the Bill at the Senate, Pan-African digital rights organization, Paradigm Initiative commended the two legislative houses for passing the important bill.

The Bill, a product of civil society efforts led by Paradigm Initiative beginning at the 2014 Internet Freedom Forum in Abuja, “provides for the protection of human rights online, to protect Internet users in Nigeria from infringement of their fundamental freedoms and to guarantee application of human rights for users of digital platforms and the digital media.”

In 2016, Hon Chukwuemeka Ujam sponsored the Bill at the House of Representatives where the bill underwent rigorous legislative process before its eventual passage last December. The Bill was first tabled before the Senate for concurrence on January 16 2018, and was finally passed today.

Speaking on the importance of the bill, Paradigm Initiative’s Digital Rights Program Manager, Boye Adegoke said, “By the passage of this Bill, the legislative arm of government has shown a commitment to the development of digital rights in Nigeria.”

He added, “I am most excited about the provisions in this Bill regarding freedom of expression online. The bill will ensure that citizens can freely express their opinions online without interference. This is such a positive development at a time when Nigeria is moving into an election season and there are legitimate fears that there may be moves by some political interests to gag  free speech in the country. The positive leadership of the National Assembly on the issue is quite commendable.” Adegoke concluded.

Also speaking on the passage, the Director of Programs of Paradigm Initiative, Tope Ogundipe said “Nigeria has demonstrated remarkable leadership on the continent by passing this Bill. The Bill is quite important  to the future of innovation and Nigeria’s digital economy in essence. It represents the needed framework to attract the partnership of global brands in the digital economy.”

The bill provides progressive legislative backing to online speech in the country. Clause 14 of the bill reads, “Every person shall have the right to freely express opinion online without interference, this right includes the freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas, regardless of digital frontiers.” Under this Bill, freedom of expression further includes the freedom to express and impart information and ideas of all kinds that can be transmitted to others, in whatever form, and regardless of media.

The Bill also made provisions geared towards the protection of data and right to privacy online. Clause 5 of the Bill reads “(1) Every person is guaranteed the confidentiality of his personal data.

    (2) The integrity and confidentiality of personal data and information of citizens is inviolable and therefore guaranteed… (6) All entities that collect, store and/or process personal data in the course of their activities shall have data privacy policies that are readily and easily accessible to the public.”

The Bill will now be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari for the presidential assent to transform the bill to a law, making it Nigeria’s first law on human rights online.
