  • Man in court for allegedly seducing married woman

The police yesterday arraigned Ibrahim Bawa at a Minna Magistrates’ Court, Niger State, for allegedly seducing a married woman.

He is standing trial on a one-count charge of seducing a married woman, punishable under Section 389 of the Penal Code.

The prosecutor, Ahmed Saidu, told the court that Alhaji Tanimu Salihu of Paikoro reported the case at a police station on August 26.

He alleged that Bawa was fond of inviting the complainant’s wife to his home at night on the pretext of giving her charms to make her husband love her more.

When the charge was read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Mr. Mohammed Gabi, granted the defendant bail at N100,000 and a surety.

He adjourned the case till November 6 for further mention.

  • Toni Braxton not married to Birdman

Toni Braxton not married to Birdman

A rep for the American singer, Toni Braxton has denied reports that the singer is married to rapper and Cash Money Records co-founder, Birdman.

Rumours started after the two were spotted together at a game center.

Toni Braxton and Birdman are not married, contrary to reports saying otherwise. “Toni is dating, Braxton’s spokesperson said, adding that the seven-time Grammy winner has a new single called ‘Deadwood’ from her forthcoming album ‘Sex & Cigarettes’, due for release in early 2018.

Braxton, 50, and the Birdman, 48, became acquainted 14 years ago after collaborating on the 1992 track “Baby You Can Do It.” The pair made their romance official at the BET Awards in June 2016.

“Toni and Birdman spent some time together backstage,” a source told US Weekly of the couple at the time. “They were holding hands.”

Although the singer never commented on her relationship with the “Loyalty” rapper, her mother, Evelyn Braxton, gushed about him during an interview with The Rickety Smiley Morning Show in June. “I think he’s a nice man,” she said of her daughter’s beau. “I don’t care what others say about him. He’s a nice man. He is full of respect.”

Evelyn added: “Ever since I’ve known that man, he’s been phenomenal.” Before being linked to the music mogul, Braxton was married to Keri Lewis. She and the keyboardist exchanged vows in 2001 and divorced in 2013 after 12 years of marriage.

They shares sons Denim, 15, and Diesel, 14. Prior to courting Braxton, Birdman has dated numerous famous women, including Keyisha Cole, Kimora Lee Simmons and Trina.

  • Wife cries out: My 45 year old husband only last 20seconds during sex ever since we got married

Wife cries out: My 45 year old husband only last 20seconds during sex ever since we got married

20 seconds. That how long it takes for my husband to release his sperm all over the place. Then we’re done.

My name is Mrs. Bunmi, and I got married to my husband about 3 years ago… actually before the marriage, my husband claimed that he wanted us to wait until we got married before having sex as God-fearing couples.

    I agreed.

But when we started having sex after the marriage, my husband cannot have sex with me for more than 20seconds before he releases.

And to make it worse, he would not be able to get his penis up again.

At first, I tried to cope. But it was becoming more frustrating because apart from the problem of releasing too fast during sex… My husband’s manhood was also very small like that of a baby.

Even when my husband penetrates me, I do not really feel his penis inside me, it was just as if the manhood is swimming inside my vagina.

At a point, I stopped having sex with him because sex with my husband became useless to me.

Of what use is having sex with a man that releases within few seconds of penetrating a woman?

Is there any enjoyment in having sex with a man that has an embarrassing small penis that is not even up to the last finger?

My husband started looking for solutions to his problem, first he tried drugs from pharmaceutical stores, herbs and concoctions but they could not give lasting results.

After sometime the effectiveness wears off, and the problem came again… my husband could not perform for up to 30seconds before he release.

After spending so much money on the fake drugs, herbs and even sprays just to last longer and get erections… my husband almost gave up on his condition.

Later on, my husband came in contact with a men health specialist during a workshop organized by the company where he works.

My husband narrated his embarrassing situation to the men health specialist, and he promised to help him out with natural solutions that would be affordable, have no side effects, and very effective to permanently cure him.

The men health specialist recommended a NAFDAC APPROVED natural herbal supplement for my husband that helps men cure weak erection and quick ejaculation and also improves sexual stamina and libido.

The natural herbal supplement contains 50 capsules, and all my husband did was to use 2 capsules daily with water or natural honey.

Within the first 5 days of using the herbal supplement, I noticed that my husband could now get normal erections like a healthy man should have early in the morning.

After 7 days of using the capsules, we made love and instead of lasting few seconds like my husband used to do in the past, he went on to last 15minutes without releasing.

That night, I was filled with joy to know that my husband condition has improved and he was now performing like a real man should.

The natural herbal supplement is approved by NAFDAC and contains good herbs that burns poisons or toxins that kills your manpower out of your body system.

Even better, it works without any side effect. My husband did not feel any slight headache when using it. It’s purely herbal and curative.

As we speak, my husband is now getting stronger erections without feeling any pain, and he can last for up to 25minutes when we make love.

I’m now obsessed with my husband in the bedroom and every time we make love, we feel like young couples again.

All thanks to mascum herbal pride, my husband’s sexual performance issues is now a thing of the past.

    But that is not all…

Apart from that, the men health specialist that gave us the herbal supplement also included an enlargement oil imported from japan inside the kit that he gave to my husband.

You see, I always complained bitterly before that my husband manhood was too small and it was always swimming inside me anytime we make love.

So the men health specialist decided to give us the enlargement oil known as MK ESSENTIAL OIL.

What the enlargement oil does is to increase manhood size (both length and girth) and also improve the strength of your penis without any side effects.

All my husband did was to follow the instructions on the MK ESSENTIAL OIL, and do the penile massages using the enlargement oil.

  • I’M NOT MARRIED YET, BUT I’VE GOT ACTING…–NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS OGHENEKARO ITENE

I’M NOT MARRIED YET, BUT I’VE GOT ACTING…–NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS OGHENEKARO ITENE

Delta State born actress Oghenekaro Itene is poised for the most enviable celebrity status. This she does by combining acting with charity works in Nigeria and South Africa. In a WhatsApp chat with VICTOR AKANDE, the amiable entertainer gives some interesting perspectives to her life’s personal desires.

HOW has the journey been since you started acting in 2013? It’s been both challenging and exciting. God has been faithful.

How many films do you have to your credit so far?

I’ve lost count. Some are yet to be released.

What are the few notable ones that readily come to your mind?

I would say Tinsel, Esohe, Shattered Mirror…

Does Tinsel explain why you’re using a South African number in Nigeria?

(Laughs) Is that part of the interview or you are just asking?

Yes, the interview. A build-up if you like…

I do have a Nigerian number. I gave you this number because I respond faster on this number. I do lots of volunteering work for NGOs in South Africa.

Can you shed light on this?

I only use this number for my WhatsApp because of that purpose so I can be easily reached by these bodies. It’s something I do as a sacrifice, so I’m really not comfortable saying much about it. And besides, I go to SA every now and then.

I think Nigeria needs your input too on voluntary works. And supposing we don’t have such initiatives here yet, would you want to replicate them?

I’m open to serve. Besides, I do loads of that in Nigeria too, but on a low key. I meant charity works.

But what other ventures pay your bills apart from acting, or would you say you make more than enough from acting?

I run other side businesses apart from acting

What really attracted you to acting?

The love for the art. I never knew I will go into acting professionally, it sort of happened, it was kind of divine.

When and how did you discover that love?

I was on a set, where I was given the job of a makeup artist, when I was asked to audition for a role and surprisingly I got the part to play a sub-lead. That was how the journey started, though I did some acting in Nursery/Primary school like every other kid while growing up.

    What did you study originally?

I studied biology at the University of Benin. But I remember when I was in Secondary School, I was in Science Department, but when it was time for literature I always joined the Art Class. It was funny; my teachers were always walking me out of the class until they got tired.

Now that you are into acting, when do you hope to stop? In other words, how far do you intend to go with acting?

It’s going to be a lifetime thing for me

And is anything hindering your pace at the moment?

Absolutely nothing… I believe God is with me in this journey. I just got back from USA after a successful tour for my latest feature film ‘Esohe’ and I’m glad to say the movie has been selected for the upcoming Nollywood Travel Film Festival which will take place in the month of September, in Toronto.

Are you married? Any children yet? If not, can all these wait if they will cost you a thing?

I’m not married, and I’ve got no kids. Marriage is from God, when God says it’s time, it’s time

What’s your ideal man and how many kids would you want to have?

My ideal man should be God-fearing, understanding, hardworking, extra caring and should be able to support my career. Also, I need to be attracted to the guy. There has to be physical attraction that will draw me to the man but at the end of the day, it’s the guy’s mind I’m going to fall in love with. I’m probably looking for a friend, someone who shares a like mind and somebody who is confident. I would love to have one kid because there are lots of kids out there that need a home, and a lot of mouths to feed.

As a Delta lady, do you think your parents would reckon with just a kid?

    My Parents are late.

Oh, sorry. Who has been your source of encouragement?

My siblings have been a source of encouragement to me. They are very supportive and they are there for me whenever I need them. I’m the baby of the house.

No wonder you seek an extra caring man…

(Laughs) Growing up, I was over pampered by my parents and siblings

Do you think there are still men out there with such qualities? Aren’t you’re asking for too much?

I pray and hope so. (Laughs) You are very funny… That’s not too much to ask for really… If he truly loves me, being caring shouldn’t be hard now don’t you think.

And it doesn’t matter how long it takes? You’re not being pressured to get married?

I come from a Christian home, and we believe it’s God that make marriages happen. I believe when it’s time, God will make it happen.

Now, what have you got to give back to the man who may be extra caring, some sets of triplets? Sorry, I forgot you said one kid…

(Laughs) I will give him my heart and my Love…

Are you worried that marriages in Nollywood hit the rocks. I mean, we have too many examples in recent times.

I have nothing to say about that. For me, when the right man comes I will get married.

You supported Mercy Aigbe’s walk recently, any personal experience regarding domestic violence?

No personal experience, but I have a cousin who went through that and it took a lot for her to speak up… The day she was rushed to the hospital after losing four months pregnancy from beating from the husband; that was the day she spoke and made the decision to take a walk. Anyone in an abusive relationship, verbal or physical, should speak out. The signs are always there…. If the victim notices this…he or she can go for counseling

Are you in a relationship? Is the lucky man in the entertainment industry? Does he understand and support your job?

    I don’t have a boyfriend now.

Who are your influences in Nollywood?

Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Shan George and a host of other hardworking actors.

Tell us more about ‘Esohe’ the movie

‘Esohe’ is a cross cultural movie, shot in Benin and USA. The movie will be premiered later this year in Nigeria. I played the role of Itohan in the film. I just got back from USA after a successful movie premiere tour for ‘Esohe’, and I’m glad to say the movie has been selected for the upcoming Nollywood Travel Film Festival which will take place in the month of September, in Toronto.

What do you do in your leisure?

I read, write and watch movies…

    What’s your beauty regime like?

I go to the Spa during my vacations, and on my own I cleanse, exfoliate, and moisture my face regularly.

Where is your choice vacation destination?

I love South Africa. I go there often. Although I will love to tour the world if I have my way (laughs).I go to Ghana for vacation too.

    What about your favourite food…

My favorite food is ogbono soup made with dried fish and wheat.

  • Married, yet single!

•Expectedly, judgment nullifying marriages contracted at LGs causes panic

THE anxiety generated among married couples, by the statement credited to Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos High Court, Ikeja Division, that certificate of marriage purportedly issued by local council authorities in contravention of the Marriage Act, is a nullity, is understandable. But the finding of the learned justice appears to be in tandem with the law, even as it may have rendered many marriages invalid. Indeed: “The formation, annulment and dissolution of marriages other than marriages under Islamic law and customary law, including matrimonial causes relating thereto” is provided as item 61 on the exclusive legislative list, for which only the Federal Government can legislate under the 1999 Constitution.

In furtherance of that exclusive power, the Marriage Act is a federal legislation, enabling the President to create marriage districts, to regulate marriages, and that act covers the entire country. We believe that the statement credited to Justice Harrison arose from an interpretation of the extant laws, as provided in the Marriage Act, particularly its section 30. She had reportedly said to a couple: “In the eyes of the law, the two of you are not husband and wife. Your marriage is not yet backed up by a legitimate marriage certificate. The Local Government Unified Marriage Certificate in your possession is an illegal document and cannot give legal backing to your union.”

No doubt, while the so-called Local Government Unified Marriage Certificate is rightly unknown to law, marriages made outside the act, like Islamic marriages and customary marriages are not illegal. So, couples who had performed their traditional rights of marriage, before going to the local government to obtain a certificate, though not in accordance with Marriage Act, may not have married under the act, but could fall back on customary marriage, in view of the shortcoming, as held by the court.

As far back as 1973, as reported by the Daily Telegraph, the Supreme Court in Anyaegbunam vs Anyaegbunam 3 ECSLR 243, declared “invalid the local governments’ power to issue marriage certificate on the grounds that such certificate were not in line with Form E as provided by Marriage Act.” The judgment of the court in our view makes sense, considering the legal maxims that: “no one can give what he doesn’t have” and again, “no one can do a thing, unless he can do it lawfully.”

But perhaps what is needed is the amendment of the constitution to devolve the power to conduct marriages to states, so that states can enact laws in that respect. But even as the law is, local governments and faith-based organisations have been going ahead to conduct marriages, issuing what they consider certificate of marriage.

Perhaps to text the extent of their powers, four local governments across the country have approached a Federal High Court in Lagos, for a re-evaluation of the law, in view of the provisions of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

So, we appreciate the efforts of Egor Local Government Council in Edo State, Eti-Osa Local Government Council in Lagos State, Owerri Local Government Council in Imo State and Port Harcourt Local Government Council in Rivers State, in approaching the court, to test the extent of their powers as provided in section 7(5) and the fifth schedule to the 1999 Constitution as amended. In the schedule, the functions of local government councils were listed to include in paragraph 1(i), the “registration of all births, deaths and marriages.”

Whether that power gives them authority to celebrate and conduct marriages will, hopefully, be re-determined in the action filed by the councils and presently before Justice Austin Obiozor of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

  • THERE’S NO EXPIRY DATE FOR GETTING MARRIED –EMPRESS NJAMAH

THERE’S NO EXPIRY DATE FOR GETTING MARRIED –EMPRESS NJAMAH

Still missing on the screen, but making waves with charity works through her foundation which recently marked 10 years, Nollywood actress Empress Njamah, in this interview with DUPE AYINLA- OLASUNKANMI, speaks on her hiatus from the entertainment scene, among other issues. Excerpts:

TELL us about your latest projects.

Talking about my latest work; there are so many of them. My hands are always on deck for different works. This time, we are planning towards the Valentine season. My charity will be working with the children again. We had one early on; which was the back to school project.

But for Val, we will be visiting one or two general hospitals and share some useful items with them and also pay some bills for delivery for those who gave birth that day and a day before. I have some scripts I am also working on next month; three to be precise. But the top most on my list is making my project work and also putting smiles on the face of people.

Your recent activities as a social worker, when did you discover this new passion?

I have been doing this professionally on my own for the past 10 years. And I have been trying to see how we can spread it and have a lot of people get to join me; that is because as it is right now, the weight is much on me.  So we are working on that now.

My mum said to me that at a tender age that she noticed that I had the passion in me; that I always wanted to share my things and as I grew older, I always like to bring people together for us to eat and share things together.  And that I took special interest in kids. I don’t like seeing kids cry. I just can’t place it, but there is something about it that keeps pulling me closer into the cause.

You haven’t been featuring in movies like in the past; what is the reason for this?

I haven’t lost interest in movies. This is something that you can do even to your old age; when you start using walking-stick.

You revealed in one of your interviews that you are yet to get a very challenging role; is it the reason for your absence?

Concerning getting challenging roles; with things getting bigger by the day and trying to expand too, I am yet to get that challenging role. I always like to do stunts; like when I did Scout; my brother didn’t believe I was going to climb the tallest mountain in Jos to come down with a rope.

Those are the kind of things I would like to do. You know we have done all this drama things in school as growing up; you know the mama and papa roles. Something challenging I am yet to do, but that does not mean I have lost interest in movies. Like I said earlier, I am working on three scripts; they are actually five, but I rejected two because the person in the other scripts wasn’t interesting.

So I had to tell them to go back to their drawing board and bring in intrigue. I want to do something that will blow the people’s mind and at the same time be entertaining and fun to see too. There are things that are always occupying my time and, my business and others. I am hyper-active naturally; I can’t sit still, so I always have many things I am doing at the same time, aside acting.

You have a captivating body. Are you considering going back as a video vixen?

I take that as a compliment and talking about musical videos, being in Tetuila’s and Tuface song years back; Tuface and I have been together way back. He is like my blood brother. I wasn’t supposed to be in the video.

We went to AIT to shoot and we were supposed to go back to Festac, but something came up and the lady who was supposed to take that position wasn’t there and I was asked to do it. I agreed on my condition that I wasn’t going to show my face, because they needed three girls. At some point, I just got carried away and that was how I showed my face.

When do you plan to settle down?

There is never an expiry date for getting married. I don’t know why people keep asking this question.

Could your status as a celebrity be one of the reasons for delay in getting married?

It has nothing to do with it. It could happen to anyone; they are some people who won’t get married and there are some who want to get married and it is not forthcoming. And there are some who are taking their time not to jump in. Eventually it will happen; there is not date that is written that you have to get married. If I haven’t gotten married, there are obviously reasons why I haven’t. And I don’t see that as a crime or problem. When the time comes, it is obvious that people will know and celebrate with you genuinely. If you see the right man and match, why not, Let’s not make this thing a point of a big deal; I don’t know.

When do you intend to start movie production like some of your colleagues?

If I do it, there should be a reason for it. And when that time comes if I want to go into it, I will and if I don’t; I just concentrate on my roles and that is it. But I won’t do it because my colleagues are doing it.

  • MARRIED OR NOT?

A secret wedding purportedly undergone by popular Nigerian hip-hop artiste, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly called D’Banj, is enmeshed in controversy.

The news had filtered out early on Monday that the self-acclaimed Koko Master secretly wedded his long time lover, Lineo Didi Kilgrow.

The two were said to have tied the nuptial knot at a marriage registry in Lagos during the weekend.

Inside sources, who pleaded anonymity because they are not official spokespersons of the musician, said the ceremony was attended by about 25 guests, many of whom thought they were going for the birthday party of the musician’s father.

They were, however, shocked to find that it was not a birthday but the wedding of the multiple award-winning singer and entertainer.

One of the sources said the couple had started dating early last year while D’Banj popped the question about four months ago and followed it up with the traditional wedding at the bride’s base in Jos, Plateau State, early last month.

The purported secret wedding was said to have been attended by D’Banj’s father, who is a retired army colonel, and 25 others.

But millions of the singer’s admirers  are now be in a quandary on whether to congratulate the Koko Master for finding a wife or wish him well in his continuous search for one. The stoic silence in his camp on the veracity of the story or otherwise has left his followers confounded.

His manager, Amudo Franklin, who spoke with our correspondent on the issue, neither confirmed nor denied the story when he was confronted with it.

“You speak as if the wedding is a fact and that you have such evidence. And if it was a secret wedding, why do you want to know?” he queried.

Continuing, Franklin said: “As D’Banj’s manager, his private life is none of my business. His publicist is in a position to speak on his affairs.”

While many believe that the wedding actually took place, others say it is just another media hype which could have been created by the media team of the popular musician.

In another reaction to the alleged secret wedding, Franklin said: “D’Banj didn’t do any secret wedding. He had a private event meant for only a few family members and friends. How that turned to a marriage ceremony is what I don’t know.

“Some people obviously didn’t understand simple English and we would not dignify them with a response on such false tale.”

D’Banj himself would seem to have prepared the ground for the confusion when he said: “…I would tell you the truth: I am not married. But if I am, nobody would hear about it. It is going to be a very quiet wedding because I am tired of people asking me that question.

“It is my personal life and it is not going to change my music or brand. I am not going to get married just because people want me to. Neither would I do it just to enter another phase of my life just like some of my colleagues have done.

“They make it seem as if once you are married, you have retired. But that should not be the case.

“Marriage would not change anything about me. And whenever it happens, nobody would hear about it. There would only be speculations.

“My wife would not be seeking for fame because the one I have is already enough for all my family members.

“When I get married, it will be a very quiet one. Who knows? It might have already happened.”

But a close associate of the Koko Master, who wished not to be named, wondered why Nigerians are falling over themselves because of D’Banj’s purported wedding.

“Do you ever believe that D’Ban’j would wed and the world would not see the photographs?” he asked.

Speaking further, he said: “Nigerians should know by now that D’Banj uses this trick to cause a media hype.

“If you recall, this is not the first time this is happening. It was a similar story with Genevieve. There were other women too.”

However, despite the tongue-in-cheek rebuttal of the purported secret marriage by D’Banj, many people still believe that the wedding held and that D’Banj is only acting out a script like he had done in the past with similar tales.
