    Thousands of worshippers gathered under the open skies at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos on Friday, December 6, for Experience 19

    The Experience, which is hosted yearly by House On The Rock, Church, this year came with the theme “Jesus Wins!” .

    The praise and worship event gathers thousands of worshippers yearly and has been held for over 18 years.

    Leading the hundreds of thousands gathered at the venue, and the millions who joined online in worship, areTravis Greene, Donnie McClurkin, Chevelle Franklyn, Chee, Israel Houghton, Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Mercy Chinwo, Ebuka Songs, Adeyinka Alaseyori.

    Others are Sinach, Frank Edwards, Prinx Emmanuel, Mr M & Revelation, Moses Bliss, Micah Stampley, Bidemi Olaoba, and the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (LMGC). The event also featured Rachel Adewale and Precious Emmanuel, among others.

    Despite being attended by notable dignitaries and leaders in government, politics, the diplomatic corps, business, and the Church, The Experience remains a free-to-attend concert, thereby allowing people from different age groups, socio-economic classes, or religious beliefs to be part of this incredible night.

    The Experience continues to be a time for believers across denominations, cultures, and nations to come together and offer praise to God. 

    This year, with the theme Jesus Wins, the message is one of unity and victory in the face of the daunting economic and social challenges here in Nigeria, and the atmosphere of uncertainty and unrest across different parts of the globe. 

    The night echoed with a collective victory shout, one that declares Jesus as the light and the only hope of the world.

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ifu Ennada has made a U-turn, joining the Hallelujah Challenge after initially criticising it.

    On her Instagram story, Ifu revealed that her previous criticism stemmed from being “blinded by the things of the world.”

    She acknowledged the programme’s positive impact, stating that God has used it to bless her in various ways.

    Ifu encouraged her followers to join the challenge, emphasising that they’re missing out by not participating.

    Nathaniel Bassey marks birthday with heartfelt message of gratitude

    Renowned gospel artist, Nathaniel Bassey, is celebrating his birthday with a sincere expression of thanks to God.

    In an Instagram post, he shared a worshipful photo and wrote a heartfelt message, acknowledging God’s faithfulness in his life.

    Bassey thanked God for another year of life, grace, goodness, and mercy, as well as for his family, friends, and loved ones.

    He referenced biblical verses Jeremiah 33:3, Psalm 3:3, and Isaiah 43:19, emphasising his trust in God’s promises.

    Prominent gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, has prayed against unnecessary delay in relationships for single men and women.

    The trumpeter shared that the singles will be set free from irrelevant relationships that might cause delay.

    He prayed that they would be guided into a devoted and blissful marital relationship, noting that the “delaytionships” is a kind of relationship that has no goal, leading to heartbreak and waste of time.

    Ace singer and gospel songwriter, Nathaniel Bassey has warned the Super Eagles to take on every chances as they face Angola on Friday, February 2. 

    In the last game of Nigeria, Bassey had predicted about the injury of Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali. 

    Nwabali was injured in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Cameroon making him doubtful for today’s game.

    The Chippa United goalkeeper was fouled by Georges-Kevin N’Koudou while saving a cross in his box.

    Bassey had said: “Me, I feel led to pray for our goal keeper. May the Lord help Him.”

    Nigeria vs Angola is the first quarter-final game of the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations by 6pm today.

    All eyes are on the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they slug it out against Angola in the AFCON Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

    The target for Nigeria is to qualify for the semi-final. 

    The winner between Nigeria and Angola on Wednesday February 7, 2024, at the 40,000-capacity Peace Stadium in Bouake, will face the winner of Cape Verde vs. South Africa to be played also on Friday.

    Reacting on his verified “X” page, Bassey said: Why am I praying and the next thing I’m seeing is about super eagles? And hey, it’s not as though I’m thinking about them o per se… 

    “Well, tomorrow we must take every chance that comes our way. It’s not the day to miss chances. 

    “I saw two people on the bench crying. May we not have cause to weep about the match and any of our players. 

    “If we have to weep, may it be for joy ooo. Amen. So it lifts the nation. It’s been tough lately.”

    Nathaniel Bassey denies selling tickets for Hallelujah festival

    Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has denied he is selling tickets for his Hallelujah Festival.

    This comes after a user identified as Timi on the micro blogging platform known as X, accused the gospel singer of selling tickets to make a profit.

    Timi wrote: “Hallelujah challenge that started as IG live, Nathaniel Bassey is already selling tickets for physical concert. see here is business growth. My God what a strategy.”

    In response to the allegation, the gospel singer said they never sold any tickets.

    He wrote: “Please o, those of you that got tickets, how much did you pay for it o? That’s how people tweet themselves to problems. May God forgive them. Please the tickets are free, registration is only required! We have never sold tickets and will never do. Satan is a LIAR!”

    Nathaniel Bassey in June led a worship session that brought together top celebrities and thousands of followers from 12 midnight to 1 am each day.

    The #HallelujahChallenge was so successful, that it notched up over 550,00 followers for the artiste, landed him a spot on CNN and saw his account verified by Instagram.

    He rounded the programme off with the release of a single titled ‘Olowogbogboro’ and the Hallelujah Festival.
