Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has apologised for her past behaviour, which she admitted has hurt others and career.

In a heartfelt video on Instagram, Nkechi reflected on her past controversies and acknowledged the impact they’ve had on her life.

She revealed that her reputation has led to lost business deals, with brands being warned against working with her.

Nkechi expressed regret for her past actions, which have led people to view her as someone who would engage in online drama.

She said: “Guys, I am not happy. What I am about to say has been bothering me for 3 to 4 years now. I have been meaning to talk about it for the longest time, but I just felt it wasn’t really important.

“Before whatever relationship I had that went viral online, I’ve had several relationships with people that didn’t even make it online and the relationship ended, and then just one that came online and made headlines, people are categorising on it. Why am I saying this?

” I meet someone today that likes me and wants to help me, not sexual, just normal people that like me that didn’t meet me online, and you know in life if you want to do something with somebody, either business, relationship or anything, you will seek third party opinion like ‘this person I met can you tell me some things about her’ and you hear things like ‘ah! Run away from her o, she will drag you online’ why? I am not blaming anybody because this is my doing, na me cause am, but then again, whatever relationship that came online and became a topic, wasn’t because I wanted it to be like that, it ended months before the outburst, meaning I had already moved on with my life, not wanting anything to come out in the open but the other party needed it to so that he could feel good about himself then that was me trying to defend myself because the internet never forgets.

“I won’t have someone speak ill about my person and I will not come to defend myself. If it were to be now, I would probably ignore because this is the life I’m living now, ignoring every negative vibes and just focusing on positivity only, but it has been affecting me. Imagine someone wants to work with me and they seek third party opinion and they hear things like ‘ah! That controversial girl! She’s not somebody you can work with’.

“I can no longer take it, it is enough, I know I made all of you see me like that but that is not who I am. Allow me to have friends and business partners in peace, let them know me by themselves, that bad person wey una dey call me for internet, let them experience it themselves. If not be by the grace of God, I for no dey see food chop because I know how many deals I have lost but God’s grace keeps me going, it is enough. At least I have shown traces of changes for the past two years.

“This is my sincere apology to everybody that has seen me as an idiot, a nuisance and a notoriety. Please, I beg you in the name of God, if you see someone that wants to work with me, give them the benefit of doubt, tell them ‘know her by yourself’, I am a very sweet person to work with.”

In her caption, Nkechi expressed desire to move forward and live a peaceful, quiet life.

She apologised to anyone she may have offended and asked to be left alone.

“There comes a time in your life when all you want is to live in peace and quiet. I hope that moving forward, I will be left alone to live my soft life in peace.

“Apologies to anyone I might have offended in the past, abeg make una leave me alone. Na beg I Dey beg,” she wrote.

She added that she has moved beyond seeking social media validation and is now fully focused on personal growth and financial success.

She said: “Sometimes it’s very good to react when something is said about you online, especially from cut and join bloggers, who derive joy in using your name for clout and personal gains.

“3 years ago, I was on a live video with my friend; then he said something like because of who I am and how I am, I can only attract older and married men. That no young boy will be with me, except they want to be with me for money. I don’t him not to say that as I get advances from younger boys. And I told him, what if I decide to buy any man of my choice? That statement received so many headlines, and I got dragged by both males and females.

“Now, this same propaganda is flying around again. Yesterday someone sent me a DM saying he is available for me to buy him. I don’t know who you are, where you are sitting in the comfort of your home trying to bring out a narrative that will dent my image but I say this to you today that it will never be well with you.

“I don’t care about trending anymore. Ever since I stopped, I have been making more money. I have gone past that era of my life; I only post what I want you to see, and you can’t force me to post what you want. Ignore they say, until it affects you indefinitely. Enough is enough”.
