New Year will bring peace, progress for Nigeria — RCCG Pastor

Pastor Adeyemo, Pastor in Charge of Province 70 of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating that the country is already witnessing the foundations of peace, progress, and democratic dividends.

In an interview at his office in Sabo, Lagos, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to be thankful for the nation’s current direction and to pray for the success of the administration. “What I expect in the New Year is peace, joy, and progress. The dividend of democracy is coming,” he said.

Pastor Adeyemo emphasized that leadership is ordained by God and must be supported with prayers, citing Daniel 2:20. “God is the one who sets up kings. He gives wisdom. What we need to ask God for is wisdom for those in authority,” he noted.

He urged Nigerians to pray for the president and his family, stressing that political differences should not hinder what God has begun. “God has exposed certain things because He wants to help Nigeria. He put this leader there. I cannot be praying for someone to fail; it’s not possible,” he said.

Acknowledging economic and security challenges, Adeyemo attributed many obstacles to human compromise but expressed confidence in Nigeria’s military and security architecture.

“The major problem Nigeria has is corruption. It is not necessarily from the president; it is down the line. What Nigerians should fight is corruption at all levels of government,” he said.

The cleric called for a national conversation on accountability, including the removal of immunity for public office holders who misuse funds.

He also defended recent tax reforms, noting that expanding the tax base could benefit the poor if funds are properly utilized.

“If the money is not wasted, it will come back to the grassroots. But if it is wasted, then that is where the problem is,” he explained.

Responding to concerns about the role of the Church amid economic hardship, Adeyemo said churches continue to support the needy despite limited resources.

“The economy is affecting everyone, including the Church. But the Church is about love and shared sacrifice. We contribute little by little to help those in need,” he said.

He concluded with a message of hope, insisting that with prayers, accountability, and collective vigilance against corruption, Nigeria will experience lasting progress in the coming year.

RCCG set to feed 15,000 people at love carnival 2025

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced plans to feed no fewer than 15,000 people at The Love Carnival 2025, a two-day Christmas outreach designed to spread love, hope, and community support during the festive season.

Scheduled to take place from December 25 to 26, 2025, the event will be held at the Open Field opposite Mega Chicken, Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin/Festac, Lagos. Activities are slated for 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on December 25 and 7:00 am on December 26, with thousands expected to attend.

Organised by RCCG Lagos Youth Provinces Family (LGAF) in collaboration with the church’s youth and outreach arms, The Love Carnival is positioned as more than a celebration.

It is a large-scale humanitarian initiative aimed at providing meals, gifts, and a sense of belonging to individuals and families during Christmas.

According to RCCG, the first 2,000 attendees to get to the venue will also receive free Christmas gifts, further reinforcing the event’s focus on generosity and care for the community.

The carnival will feature gospel ministrations, live music, and appearances by notable ministers and personalities including Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Pastor Leke Adeboye, Pastor Samuel Oloruntoba, Pastor Jacob Obara, Pastor Anthony Ibe, Pastor David Ugenyi, Pastor Daniel Olawande, as well as guest ministers Greatman Takit, Lilian Nneji, and Bidemi Olaoba.

Everyone is encouraged to attend, arrive early, and participate in what promises to be one of the largest Christmas feeding outreaches in the state this year. The venue once again is at the Open Field opposite Mega Chicken, Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin/Festac, Lagos.

RCCG launches free-bus-to-work initiative for second year in a row

Rising living costs without a corresponding increase in income have become the daily reality for many Nigerians, with transportation emerging as one of the most pressing challenges. To ease this burden, Youth Province 1 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in collaboration with several other youth provinces across Lagos, has provided free transportation for workers over a set period.

Now in its second year, the initiative was first introduced in 2023 and ran from October to December, offering vital relief as expenses surged.

The free-bus-to-work programme deploys about 10 long yellow buses daily, conveying hundreds of commuters to and from designated bus stops in the mornings and evenings.

This year’s edition was held from November 24 to December 5. Morning routes included RCCG Jesus’s Palace (Festac) to CMS, Oworonshoki to CMS, Redemption City to 7UP, Redemption City to Sagamu, Redemption City to Trinity Towers (VI), Redemption City to Agege, and Ikorodu to Maryland. Free return trips were also provided in the evenings, with the church spending about N40 million on the project.

Pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, Pastor-in-Charge of Youth Province 1, described the programme as an expression of support for the public.

“This initiative is our way of lending a hand to people. We did it last year and witnessed the massive relief it provided, so we decided to do it again this year in collaboration with Youth Provinces 2, 7, 14, 18, and 20 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,” he said.

He added that the trips also serve as an avenue for sharing God’s Word and praying at the start and end of the day, noting that the buses are open to all, regardless of tribe or religion.

Pastor Martins Olusakin, Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Province (CSR), and Pastor Abiodun Famojuro, Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Province (Administration), are working alongside Pastor Adeboye as Youth Province 1 intensifies preparations for the RCCG Holy Ghost Congress scheduled for the second week of December.

The free-bus initiative has gained traction through word of mouth, with many beneficiaries expressing appreciation on social media.

The gratitude of commuters is evident in their smiles and relief as the church continues to extend support to those in need.

Eliminate terrorists, sponsors to prevent US military action, Adeboye urges FG

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has urged President Bola Tinubu to take urgent and diplomatic action to address security challenges.

Adeboye gave the advice on Friday during the November Holy Ghost Service while reacting to recent threats issued by US President Donald Trump.

He recommended a 90-day deadline for security chiefs to eliminate terrorist groups or face dismissal.

Adeboye also suggested that President Tinubu engage diplomatically with US President Donald Trump to secure a 100-day grace period before any international action is taken against Nigeria.

“Let the government use diplomatic methods to convince President Trump to give us 100 days of grace. All our service chiefs, fortunately, are new, should perform within three months, or resign,” he said.

Adeboye emphasised the importance of identifying and exposing sponsors of terrorism and insurgency, regardless of their influence.

He warned that if America attacks Nigeria, no foreign power, including China and Russia, would come to Nigeria’s aid.

“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists but also their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be.

“When I say our leaders should move fast, move diplomatically, and move wisely, we must take note of the fact that if America should attack us, China is not coming to defend us. Russia will not come to defend us.

“All the so-called world leaders will talk, they will condemn what America has done in the strongest terms, that’s all they will do. Britain is not going to come and help us. No other foreign power will come to our aid.

He stressed that this is not a time for debates or arguments, but for practical action to protect lives.

“This is not the time for joking. This is not the time for drama. This is not the time for semantics. This is not the time to begin to argue, is it suicide or kidnapping or whatever name they call it? And this is not the time to say, ‘Ah, it’s not Christians alone, Muslims are also involved.’ The point is, people are dying. Innocent people are dying”, he added.

In his advice, Adeboye drew from his experience with past administrations, including that of late President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he advised to take decisive action against terrorism.

Unfortunately, those efforts were not sustained to achieve lasting peace.

“This is not the time for apportioning blame. Our President inherited this problem, it started before him.

“Some of you will remember who called the service chiefs together and said, ‘I give you three months, get rid of all these Boko Haram people or resign. It’s not allowed to tell you who gave him that advice. He ran with that advice, but he didn’t follow it through, because he gave the order as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the security operatives moved fast.

“But three months went by, and the work was not done. So I went to see him. It wasn’t unusual. This time, somehow, the press got to know that I visited him. Of course, they were not there when we talked.

“Unfortunately, like I said, he’s not alive now. I would have asked you to go and ask him, ‘Sir, why didn’t you follow through? Because when three months passed and the work wasn’t done, why didn’t you proceed with your, are we going to call it threat?’

“I won’t tell you the details, but one thing came out of that meeting,” he said.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Youth Province 1, Festac, has distributed essential school supplies to 2,150 children across its various parishes.

According to a statement released on Thursday, the initiative titled “Back to School Drive” was conducted simultaneously across all the parishes in the province.

Beneficiaries received a range of educational materials, including school bags, exercise books, water bottles, writing tools, mathematical sets, and other necessary learning supplies.

The Pastor-in-Charge of Youth Province 1, Pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, highlighted the significance of the program during the distribution event.

He noted that the initiative was spearheaded by Pastor Martins Olusakin, who oversees the province’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, in collaboration with Pastor Abiodun Famojuro, Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of Administration.

“Education remains one of the most powerful tools for individual and national development,” Pastor Adeboye said.

“By providing these resources, we are not just supplying items; we are helping shape a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, regardless of their background.”

Parents and guardians welcomed the support, noting that the rising cost of educational materials has made back-to-school preparations increasingly difficult.

RCCG LP35 graduates over 400 in skill acquisition programme

Over 400 students graduated on Sunday from the one-week Skill Acquisition Training (SAT) programme organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 35, Gbagada, Lagos, marking another milestone in the church’s drive to empower individuals with practical skills for self-sufficiency and economic impact.

The programme, which ran from Monday, September 1, to Saturday, September 6, exposed participants to a blend of hands-on vocational training and business sessions.

Courses ranged from catering and fashion design to digital marketing, Coding and Robotics, Bread and Cake making, Catering, Tie and Die, and other entrepreneurial skills to equip participants not only with technical knowledge but also with business acumen to thrive in today’s economy.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Vice Chairman of the Empowerment Team, Demola Ogunfeyimi, emphasised that the programme was designed to go beyond mere theoretical training.

“As opposed to just handing out fish, we believe it is more effective and more beneficial to teach people how to fish. Beyond taking care of themselves, they can also employ others.

At each programme, apart from teaching them, we expose them to the practical part of the skills. We also have an initiative where, upon completion, selected participants are empowered with funds to either start or expand their businesses. These beneficiaries are monitored to ensure proper use of the resources, which in turn creates success stories that inspire others,” he said.

Head, Skill Acquisition Training Program, Mr. Olatunde Adepoju, noted that the SAT programme has been running for over two decades and continues to evolve to meet current realities.

“This programme has been on for more than 20 years, with about 450 to 500 participants yearly. The main objective is to make socio-economic impact both within and outside the church.

”Beyond learning skills, we also ensure participants are taught business management essentials — how to market their products, manage staff, and run sustainable ventures. Imagine if more churches, NGOs, and organizations replicate this across the country; the impact on our economy and society would be enormous,” he said.

He further advised the government to strengthen infrastructure, particularly power, while encouraging more organizations to embrace initiatives like SAT as a complement to government efforts in supporting small businesses.

Joy Aina, the best graduating student from the bread and cake-making section, described her experience as a turning point.

“When I joined, I had zero knowledge of baking but today I can confidently say I’ve gained about 70% knowledge. Our facilitators were open-minded and thorough, which made learning exciting.

It wasn’t just about baking, we were also taught business skills like costing, marketing, and accountability. With dedication and further training, I see myself becoming an entrepreneur in the next five years, not just making money but creating something unique and impactful,” She said.

RCCG province: new auditorium is testament to faith

Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 64 at Magodo-Isheri in Lagos State, has dedicated its remodelled auditorium, a project church leaders said is a testament to faith, commitment, and community spirit.

Pastor, Bisi Akande, said the project, which began in 2024, was inspired by the need for more worship space while ensuring minimal environmental impact on the community.

“Today is a special day. We remodelled the church and created a new auditorium where we can worship in a better environment,” he said. “By the grace of God and the dedication of our people, in six months we were able to move into the auditorium. Today, we dedicate it to God as a place of prayer.”

He noted that the facility is already having a visible impact on members and the neighborhood.

“In the few months since we moved in, we saw people draw closer to God. Even the community acknowledges this was made possible by faith,” he said.

Assistant Pastor, Michael Folorunsho, chair of the building committee, recalled how a simple project soon became a major reconstruction effort.

“Our plan was to deroof, raise blocks, and install a roof,” he said. “But when we opened the roof, we discovered weak walls. We brought the first floor down and re-engineered the structure. What we thought would be three months took six.”

Olufemi Oguntade, treasurer and committee member, said the N368 million spent was funded through offerings, tithes, and contributions.

“There is the Nehemiah Group, key church members, who donate monthly between N50,000 and N250,000. In addition, we secured N150 million from Haggai Mortgage Bank. By God’s grace, we are not done yet, but we’ve come this far,” he said.

The dedication was attended by worshippers, church leaders, and guests, who see the event, as a symbol of God’s faithfulness and resilience of members.

  • I’d give N1bn to RCCG if I had it – Odumodublvck

I’d give N1bn to RCCG if I had it – Odumodublvck

Rapper Odumodublvck has declared his steadfast dedication to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), stating that if he had a billion naira to give, he would willingly contribute it, and even more.

In a post on X, he stressed that serving God is a matter of the heart, not a forced obligation, and that financial contributions alone do not guarantee spiritual salvation.

He affirmed that he and his household would continue to support the work of Christ without shame, regardless of criticism.

For Odumodublvck, supporting the church is a personal conviction rooted in faith and purpose. He added that true devotion goes beyond monetary donations, emphasising that it is one’s actions and commitment to their faith that truly count.

Odumodublvck wrote, “If I had a billion to contribute to the RCCG, I would do it and even more. It is not by force to serve the Lord; they did not say that if you do not drop 1bn, you will not enter heaven. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly, no matter what you people throw at us. You are just fulfilling the scriptures. God bless you.

“We have made it a norm to desecrate the idea of supporting the church. Shey na Holy Spirit dey fuel the gen? Na Holy Spirit go pay for logistics for evangelism? The church needs money, much more money than the average business. Do you have an idea of the number of people your priest or local pastor supports? After church, you and your family just go to Mr Biggs and have a nice weekend. You should be thankful you are not amongst those who have to wait behind to get small handouts from the pastor.”

Over 207 million Nigerians have benefited from donated N110bn medical facilities — RCCG

…Adeboye laments over politicians seeking overseas medical treatment

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has said that over 207 million Nigerians have benefited from its free donation of medical facilities and initiatives worth N110 billion across Nigeria in the last eight years.

The Church, through its coordinator, Christian Social Responsibility (CSR)-RCCG, Pastor Kayode Pitan, spoke at the commissioning of Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centre in Ilesa, Osun State, on Thursday, and disclosed that the dialysis centre donated to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH), Wesley Guild Hospital, Osun State, is the 13th of its kind donated across the country.

Pitan, who was represented by his assistant, Dr Bayo Olugbemi, explained that the Dialysis Centre was equipped with three dialysis machines and beds, one water reverse osmosis purification system, one 30 KVA generator, air conditioners, among others.

He said, “To the glory of God, this commissioning is the 13th dialysis centre that the RCCG is donating in the country. The states that have benefited include: Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Bauchi State, Ogun State – Redemption Camp, Ogun State- Sagamu, Ondo State, Oyo State, Bornu State, Enugu State, Lagos State, Akwa Ibom State, Ekiti State and Anambra State.

“We have also donated Intensive Care Units in the following States: Lagos State, Plateau State, Ondo State and Ogun State.”

The General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, represented by Funsho Odesola, lamented the rate of overseas travel by political leaders to seek medical attention rather than investing in Nigeria’s health sector.

According to him, “We are showing an example of what the government should be doing. We know that there are a lot of projects in the hands of the government, but it’s a shame that even the people who are making policies cannot be treated in the hospital in their own country.

“So the government and people in governance should follow his example. What we have, let’s improve it. I think, I guess, and I know it’s a shame for an average Nigerian, including those making the rules, not to be able to be treated in their hospitals.”

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. John Okeniyi, called for increased public-private partnerships to improve the state of medical facilities in Nigeria.

“Anywhere in the world, people give back. I trained in Israel, and the centre where I trained is bigger than this whole hospital, simply because one family made that available. So this is the way where people give back, not because the giver plans to use the facility, but to humanity; it has nothing to do with tribe.”
