If your wife wakes up at 4am to cook for you, you’re a blessed man – Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the social media wave of a woman identified as MumZee (Debbie) who got favoured from X users for waking up around 4:50a.m to cook for her husband, Abiola Adebisi.

Reno Omokri emphasised the blessing of having a wife who willingly wakes up at 4 a.m. or 4:30 a.m. to cook for her husband, highlighting the rarity of such dedication, especially in this day and age.

According to him, the early-morning culinary endeavour is a true act of love and care, soul food rather than just nourishment.

He went on to say that a man who marries a woman who is committed to making these kinds of sacrifices has married a true helper, not just someone looking for financial support.

Speaking broadly, Omokri advised men to avoid feminists, saying that a true man would rather have a lady who is willing to make sacrifices than one who supports feminist causes.

He wrote: “If your wife genuinely wakes up at 4 AM to cook for you, that food is not just ordinary food. It is an elixir of life. It is holy food. It is a sacrificial offering. A labour of love. The real definition of soul food. You are blessed amongst men. You are married to a helper, not a biller therefore, you are a baller. Leave feminists for Femi.

“Let Alfa bother about alpha males. You, sir, are beyond an alpha male. You are a beloved male. And if a wise man has to choose between being alpha and being loved, he will select being loved ten out of ten times. Congratulations! Now go and do your jubilations.”

Why Tinubu’s administration should ban sports betting – Reno Omokri

Social commentator Reno Omokri has urged the administration of President Bola Tinubu to ban and regulate sports betting apps and gambling of all kinds.

He made this statement on his official X page, saying that banning sports betting will drastically improve the economy.

He wrote: “President Tinubu can immediately improve the economic conditions of most Nigerians and make the Naira grow by issuing an Executive Order authorising the Nigerian Communications Commission to ban sports betting apps from the App Store of any GSM Internet Service Provider in Nigeria and revoking the licenses of any physical sports betting operators in Nigeria.

“There is such an epidemic of gambling in Nigeria and it is destroying Nigerian youths. $1 billion is spent on gambling daily in Nigeria, according to the National Lottery Trust Fund. Please fact-check me. The average Nigerian spends $15 daily on sports betting and other types of gambling, with the vast majority of that amount leaving our economy and going to places like Russia, South Africa, and Europe.”

In another tweet he highlighted that Nigerians spend triple Zambia’s GDP on gambling, he wrote partly “Every year, Nigerians spend three times the entire Zambian GDP gambling. Fact-check me.

“Our main challenge is not poverty but the misapplication of wealth. Gambling and pornography are the top two activities online in Nigeria. We are destroying our youth by letting them have unregulated access to gambling and pornography.

“You can just imagine how much better our country would be if we channel the money, energy, and time we spend on these vices on something productive.

Lastly, he wrote, “If steps are not taken, and this cancer continues to spread, Nigeria will certainly not meet her developmental goals. Worse, we will lose out to smaller African nations, like Kenya, who have taken steps to limit the effects of these scourges on their population.”

Reno Omokri calls out Nigerian parents who force American culture on their kids

Former presidential aide and social media commentator, Reno Omokri has criticised Nigerian parents who are making extra efforts to see that their children are not Nigerian-like.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Reno decried the rate at which many Nigerian parents are giving their children English names.

He opined that the Yoruba ethnic group has however stuck to giving their children local names.

His post reads: ”In England and America, you meet Western-born children of Western-born children of Yoruba parents, and they all have Yoruba names and can speak Yoruba. No exaggeration. Now, understand me. I am referring to children born to parents who were themselves born and raised abroad. These are third-generation immigrants. And they still speak Yoruba.

“Meanwhile, right there in Nigeria, many people can’t speak their native language, and God forbid that they bear their native names.

“Since you were born, how many Yoruba have you seen bearing Victor Moses or Joy James? But that is now the in thing in Southern Nigeria. You go to expensive private schools in Lagos and Abuja, and sadly, other than children of Yoruba parents, almost all the other children tend to bear European, Arabic or Hebrew names.

“Liam, Xavier, Aleona, Dwayne, Isabelle, Roberto. And when you see these children, you feel so sorry for them. Their parents do everything possible to de-Nigerianise them. Their hair, their dress, and sadly, even their skin. Oh yes. They now bleach children.

“I mean, how can you sit down and be in your right mind and then name your child Victor Moses? What a spectacular lack of imagination!

“Other than Yoruba, I am unsure how many Southern Nigerian languages will still be spoken in fifty years.

“In Nigeria and abroad, you have university professors of the Yoruba language. Professor Wande Abimbola, the former vice chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, is the first of many. He is not a professor of anything EXCEPT Yoruba. Yes. He read first degree, Masters and PhD in Yoruba and there are others like him!

“Let me ask you this question. How many professors of other Southern Nigerian languages have you heard about or seen?

“Learn from the Yoruba. Go to Peckham in London, and you will hear very serious Yoruba. If you are a JJC, you will think these are local Nigerians who just arrived in England. Try to speak English with them. When they answer you in perfect British English, you will realise that Ajoke is not a joke! Kemi Badenoch speaks Yoruba.”

Stop distorting facts about businesses leaving Nigeria, Reno Omokri warns Peter Obi

Reno Omokri, a controversial social commentator, shared his perspective on Labour Party‘s presidential candidate Peter Obi’s Twitter discussion about businesses departing Nigeria.

Omokri argued that these businesses weren’t leaving solely because of Nigeria but were grappling with challenges stemming from the global economic conditions.

Omokri gave his take on the issue in a tweet on Monday night, he said: “Peter Obi told so many lies in that #PeterObiOnParallelFacts space.

“Thame GlaxoSmithKline. They did not just leave Nigeria. They left India, Egypt, Kenya and other countries.

“India has one of the best economies in the world. Nigeria’s economy has just been upgraded by Standard and Poor’s and Moody’s. Yet, they shut down their plants in Nigeria and India.

The Nation reported that the 28-year-old passed away at exactly 10:14 pm on Tuesday.

Reacting, Omokri in a tweet via his X account on Wednesday, compared Oladips’ death to that of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as MohBad.

He also prayed to God to give Oladips’ family the heart to bear the loss.

“First MohBad, and now Oladips. The similarities in the manner of their passing are eerily unnerving. Sudden illness. Allegations of self-medication. Rushed to a hospital. And then death. This is one déjà vu too many.

“Perhaps it is time for the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria to approach a Health Insurance provider to offer their members affordable, accessible and quality healthcare with HMOs.

“And sensitisation and awareness need to be increased amongst the entourage of these artists on what to do in an emergency. Knowledge saves lives. Their posse needs to possess information on the right way to apply first aid if they must be around them. Let’s think of solutions, not just blame.

“We do not need tributes for our artists. We need long lives for them. It is a significant loss to Nigeria when young, talented entertainers, capable of rebranding our image internationally, meet untimely deaths.

“May God grant the family, survivors, and fans of Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji the fortitude to bear their loss,” he tweeted.

Actor Kanayo blasts Reno Omokri over Mr. Ibu’s health

Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has slammed the former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri for dragging the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi into actor Mr Ibu’s ill health.

The veteran comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, on Wednesday requested public assistance as he battles an undisclosed ailment that may cost him his leg.

Reacting to the viral video on his X handle, Reno Omokri called out Obi to pay the medical bills of the ailing actor.

He stated that Mr Ibu had endorsed and campaigned for Obi as his preferred candidate during the 2023 general elections and as a result, arguing the LP flag bearer must help the actor in his time of need.

Reacting to Omokri’s post, Kanayo in a clip on Instagram condemned the former presidential aide, describing him as wicked.

Kanayo stated that giving is personal and should not be used to indict others.

He said: “Hello friends, good morning. As actors, our heart goes out to our very dear colleague, John Okafor (Mr Ibu). His family have been doing their very best since he was reported sick last year and now they have come out to say that they have done their best and need public support. It is not in any sense wrong.

“Would you feel bad or better if we kept quiet and allowed our colleague to die? I condemn in strict terms Reno Omokri who is calling Peter Obi’s name and so on. It is not a friendly thing, it is wicked; and the other guy, I think Uche Maduagwu, talked about shame on top actors. Shame on you too. I say shame on you because you don’t have any value or level to call our names.

“It is an individual thing to support a colleague. It becomes a collective as the Actors Guild of Nigeria who have tried their best in such a limited time. Don’t forget some people like to give privately as individuals without their names being mentioned. We will as individuals support our colleague, we will as individuals support our colleague.

“Nobody should use this as a platform to castigate and impugn or indict those who have not given. It is wrong and we don’t support it… This is a warning, if you want to give, give. We as ‘top actors’ as you call us give at our own levels. It is not very beneficial or important when we announce it.

“Don’t use our colleague’s name, John Okafor (Mr Ibu) to trend just because you want a name. Stop seeking attention.”

Actor Kanayo slams Reno Omokri over comment on ailing Mr. Ibu

Prominent actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has slammed former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, for taunting the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, over the ailment of his colleague, John Okafor aka Mr. Ibu.

The Nation reported that Mr Ibu recently cried out for prayers following his battle with an unnamed illness, which may lead to the amputation of his legs.

The ailing actor cried out hours after a video of his birthday in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos emerged on social media.

He stated that he doesn’t want to lose his legs as he has nowhere to go.

Reacting to the news of the comic actor making the rounds online, Reno Omokri, in a post via X, pointed out that Mr Ibu was a staunch supporter of Peter Obi and the LP flag bearer should support the medical bill of the thespian.

He wrote: “I sympathise with John Ikechukwu Okafor, AKA Mr. Ibu, over his ailment, and I urge all #RenosNuggeteers to donate to the account number he put out.

“Please do not ignore his cries for help. I also urge members of the public to donate. However, this is a man who publicly endorsed Peter Obi. He and his daughter danced for Peter Obi and broke the Internet.

“They went out on the streets campaigning for Obi. The same Peter Obi who boasted that he is richer than President Biden of the US, who at the time of Peter’s boast was worth $8.2 million.

“After all that John Okafor did for him, perhaps Mr. Peter Obi can support him by paying Mr. Ibu’s medical bills. I am even surprised that Peter Obi did not remember to post about Mr. Ibu on his birthday yesterday. Even at that, Peter Obi should help him in his time of need.”

Displeased with Reno’s post, Kanayo O. Kanayo described Reno as an attention-seeking writer, and people should avoid listening to him.

“Whoever still listens to this attention- seeking writer @renoomokri is a fool and has no work,” he wrote.
