    I want to be a threat to my colleagues, says Ruger

    Singer Michael Olayinka aka Ruger has said that he is walking on the path of being a threat to his colleagues.

    According to him, it’s bad when someone is not seen as a threat in the industry.

    He stated this while explaining the inspiration behind his hit song ‘Asiwaju’ in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope Olajide.

    Speaking on the inspiration behind the hit track, he said, ‘Asiwaju’ is everything. It’s a viby song. It’s also a personal message because I don’t want anyone to look at me as not dangerous.

    “When people don’t see you as a threat, it’s bad. There are a lot of artists that are in that category. Sorry and it’s bad, honestly. When you are about to release music and nobody is shaking; you announced a single/project release date and nobody is bothered. It’s really bad.

    “You’ve to make yourself a threat. People have to anticipate your release whether it’s good or bad. That’s the level I’m on right now. It’s deliberate. I want my colleagues to see me as a threat. You can’t be a softy. You either be a monster or you be food.

    “Many people are foods right now. The music business taught be to be hard. It’s not all love, mehn. I can’t lie to you. Just follow your own pace and be that monster,” he said. 

    Ruger said he has come to realise that only few people love him for who he is, stressing that rapper Dremo is the only friend he has in the music industry.

    Jonzing World’s signee, Ruger, recently dropped a bombshell during a live performance.

     The rising star opened up about an intriguing pattern he’s noticed when it comes to the women in his life.

    In a candid moment, Rugar revealed that women tend to keep their relationships under wraps when they’re around him.

     According to him, it’s a common occurrence for women to avoid mentioning their relationship status when they’re in his presence.

    With the audience hanging on his every word, Rugar said, “These girls lie too much, I’m telling you the fact, no girl will ever say she’s in a relationship when she sees a man that she wants.”

    “Every girl I take back to my room, because I’m a very straightforward person and when I ask do you have a boyfriend, no girl in my life since when I blew up has ever told me that I have a boyfriend, except one.

    “You girls lie too much I swear to God. Most of you are in a situationship or relationship,” he declared with a mischievous grin.

    Rugar’s revelations were met with a chorus of cheers and laughter from the audience.

    Singer Ruger has stated he and his team had taken off from Tel Aviv before the war in Israel started.

    He stated this to assure his fans and well-wishers of his safety amid the Israel-Palestine conflict.

    He urged all to intercede for peace in Israel, emphasising the need for peace in the world.

    He wrote: “Israel is at war now and it’s very sad. It started as soon as I and my team took off from Tel Aviv to head back home. So guys!!! I really appreciate your concern. I’m safe. But please we need peace in the world right now!!! We don’t want innocent people dying, we just want to LIVE AND LOVE #prayforisrael. LOVE YOU O.”

    Earlier, the Jonzing World signee shared a video with his team captured in Israel as they prepared for his show and moments from the event.

    He appreciated the Israeli’s for the outpour of love and recognition while reiterating the he derive from doing the things he’s passionate about and seeing those that love him.

    He stated: “Being shown love all the way in ISRAEL is RARE and I’m really grateful for it. I’ve received more love, respect and recognition outside my country and I’ve made peace with that.

    “I’m so happy to be back on the road doing what I love, seeing the people that love me and giving them back my love and dedication. I pray God continues to give me the strength and success to keep making dem nay sayers mad. THANK YOU ISRAEL. Watch me keep RUing the world.”

    I’m safe, Ruger assures fans after attack on Israel

    Singer Michael Olayinka, aka Ruger has recounted how he was almost caught in the Israel unrest following his performance.

    Last Saturday, Ruger rocked Tel Aviv City in Israel, delivering a memorable concert to fans.

    Taking to his Instagram account, the singer reassured dedicated followers about his well-being in the wake of the unsettling news regarding the attack.

    Ruger revealed that the storm broke loose shortly after he and his crew departed Israel, pinpointing Tel Aviv as the epicenter of the turmoil.

    He pleaded for global peace, extending his heartfelt thoughts, love, and prayers to the innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.

    Ruger implored followers to join him in sending their prayers to Israel.

    Famous Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, expressed his view that Nigerian girls, though good, may not hold the title of the world’s best women.

    He made the remarks during a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos.

    “I can say for sure, 100% Nigeria doesn’t have the best women in the world. Yes, that’s a fact. No man that has been around the world would just say that Nigeria has the best women.

    He said: “We have good women but we don’t have the best. You think there are white women that don’t have ‘booties’? They lied to us that white girls don’t have booty. Hmm, you need to see. I have seen firsthand.”

    The ‘Bienvenue’ vocalist also said he would never perform with female fans on stage in Nigeria as he does abroad because “Nigerian girls are liars.”

    He said: “Personally, I don’t think I would get any girl on stage in Nigeria. Because most people that were criticising me for dancing with female fans on stage at that time were Nigerians. I don’t want any problems man. I will just do my time and leave.

    He added: “Actually, I don’t want problems with Nigerians. My people are toxic. And most of the girls in Nigeria are in relationships so I don’t want someone to come for me. Nigerian girls are liars actually.”

    Famous singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, aka Ruger, has argued females are attracted to toxic men.

    The 23-year-old singer said he was “toxic” to his ex-girlfriends.

    He disclosed this in the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast.

    Ruger said: “I was the toxic one. My relationship problems were all my fault.

    “But when you tell girls to leave, why don’t they want to go? You tell them let’s end this, and they will be like, no, we can work it out.

    “It’s not about being a better person. If it’s not working, it’s not working. Let’s end it.

    “I was watching one reel and they asked ladies, ‘what’s the most toxic thing you like?’ And they were like, ‘I like it when he is choking me. I love it when he chokes me. I love it when he pushes me. I love it when he shouts at me.’

    “Let me tell you, girls are kind of drawn to toxic men in a way. They would not admit it but it’s true. Girls don’t like soft n*ggas like that. At least when they are still in their dating phase. But when they want to marry, they can marry a soft boy.”

    Popular artiste Michael Adebayo Olayinka aka Ruger has explained why he acknowledges God before any stage performance.

    He also said he works out, prays and fasts, to prepare his spirit, body and soul before going on tours.

    He disclosed this in the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast.

    He said: “Before I kick off my America tour, I used to go to Eko Atlantic and run like four times, get back into my car and go home. So, it helps my energy. I make sure I ate well, slept well. Prayer too. Fasting and prayer just to be prepared spiritually.

    “I’m a Christian. I pray even before I go on stage to perform. It is just work. We are allowed to party. It’s just like I’m partying. I’m not a bad person. The fact that I dance with girls on stage doesn’t mean I’m a bad person.”

    Ruger added: “Before I bring any girl on stage, my team checks to make sure they are above 21.”

    Nigerian Afrobeats singer-songwriter Adebayo Olayinka aka Ruger has opened up on how his confidence got D’Prince attention before getting signed on to Mavins records.

    In a recent interview with Apple Music 1’s Nandi Madida spoke on working with D’Prince, and how he manages to stay grounded.

    “Shout out to the Prince you know, that’s one of his great talents, scouting for talent, knowing exactly where everyone’s strengths are. But I think he saw the confidence, because I’ve always been a confident person, even when I was back on the streets and all of that,” he said.

    Continuing, he said, “So I feel like that’s what he saw and said like ‘someone like this is going to fight the battles of this music.’ I had the perfect voice to put myself out there so why not? He put me on and big thanks to him.”

    On staying grounded, Ruger said, “I stay praying you know? Most of the time I like to just be by myself just reflecting on whatever I’ve done, whatever I’m doing to know when I’m doing something wrong or right. It’s important to always sit down and reflect because sometimes if you’re just living life nonchalantly, as it comes, sometimes you can make some mistakes and you don’t even worry and you don’t even know why you made that mistake you just moving on. So you have to have the time where you sit down and just re-evaluate and reflect and know where you have to do better and change or do more.”
