Despite minor setbacks, including power disruptions, Tacha maintained a fast-paced routine, completing each makeover in minutes.

    BBNAIJA S10: Faith’s disqualification justified – Tacha

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha, has expressed support for the disqualification of Faith Adewale from the ongoing BBNaija Season 10, stressing the need to respect the Head of House (HOH)’s position.

In an interview with TVC News, Tacha said, “As much as they say respect is reciprocal, you demand respect, but when e reach your turn, you no wan give respect.”

She noted that Faith, who had previously served as HOH several times, should have extended the same courtesy when another housemate, particularly a woman, held the position.

“You have been HOH a couple of times; now it’s a woman being HOH. At least as much as everyone respects you, it does make sense for you to respect that office,” she added.

Faith was disqualified on October 2, 2025, after engaging in a physical altercation with fellow housemate Sultana during a skincare task rehearsal.

The confrontation left Sultana with a twisted ankle and hand injury.

Big Brother Naija’s organisers described Faith’s conduct as a breach of the show’s rules against physical violence and ordered her immediate removal from the house.

Tacha urges Nigerians to hold all leaders accountable, not just Tinubu

Reality TV star Tacha has criticised Nigerians for directing their frustrations solely at President Bola Tinubu while overlooking the roles of governors, senators, and local government chairmen in governance.

In a video message, she stressed that mismanagement of funds occurs across all levels of government, referencing the recent disbursement of N2.2 trillion to federal, state, and local authorities.

Tacha particularly highlighted the N44 billion allocated to a local government chairman, questioning how such a huge sum would be utilised given the history of corruption and poor accountability at the grassroots level.

“₦44 billion, I didn’t say million — ₦44 billion has been disbursed to a local government chairman,” she said, urging Nigerians to demand transparency beyond the presidency.

“Watch how they’ll do absolutely nothing with it, because at the end of the day, they understand that Nigerians will come out and drag Tinubu. They’ll come out and drag the presidency.”

She stressed that Nigerians tend to focus their criticism on the presidency and Lagos State, overlooking the responsibilities and failures of other leaders.

“It be like say only two people, Nigerians like to drag for this country. Every Nigerian has believed that their problem is Tinubu.

“Even with the fact that as little as a local government chairman’s office is, their responsibilities are a lot and they are absolutely doing nothing,” she said.

The influencer urged citizens to hold their representatives accountable, noting that many people are unaware of their local government chairmen and do not demand accountability from them.

“Money has been given to your state governors, money has been given to your local government chairman, your House of Representatives members, and your senators.

“Hold them by their neck, let them deliver. If you start dragging these people individually, we’ll see that Nigeria will change,” she added.

Tacha concluded by advocating for a broader approach to accountability, encouraging Nigerians to scrutinize all leaders, not just the president.

Former Big Brother Naija star Tacha has defended Lagos State, criticising content creators who constantly spotlight the state’s infrastructure challenges.

In a post on X, she accused them of hypocrisy, arguing that they make it seem as though Lagos is the only state in Nigeria with problems.

She challenged them to showcase highbrow areas in their own states, questioning whether they even know their local government chairmen.

“All these content creators! Everyday Lagos state Lagos state! One will think ‘Lagos state’ is the only state in Nigeria. Oyah post ‘highbrow’ area in your own state and you’ll be nowhere to be found… doubt you even know who your local govt chairman is… sighs,” she wrote.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has called on women to be financially independent, regardless of their partner’s wealth.

Speaking in an interview on Outside the Box, Tacha dismissed the idea of splitting responsibilities equally in relationships.

When asked who she would go 50/50 with, she replied that since she never did so during her university days, she would not start now, adding that such situations should instead serve as motivation for women to get themselves together.

“Nobody would I do 50/50 with. No, no, I wouldn’t do 50/50 with anybody, really. No, no, no. I would, maybe, whilst growing up or in university, I probably would have. Or even in the university, I didn’t. So I won’t, I won’t do that now. I would say, use it as an inspiration to go get your shit together.

“Would I bring out my money sometimes? Yeah, I would. But it will not be a case where we’re doing 50/50.. no. There are times when maybe I probably do not have enough. I wanna do 100% I could. There are times that you do 100%, but the whole 50/50 thing is just giving friends and peer groups.” she added.

She was further asked how this position balanced the notion that women should not depend on any man.

“Yeah, it is true to not depend on any man. And regardless of how rich your partner or how rich your husband is, you just never know what tomorrow might bring. So it’s just always great for you to be independent. Try to get business or just anything else that makes you not be a liability.” she advised.

Media personality Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha has urged Nigerians to remain in the country and contribute to its growth rather than fleeing abroad for greener pastures.

In an interview with Outside the Box, Tacha encouraged Nigerians to stay back and shared her views on why leaving the country was not always the best option.

“Nigerians need to stay in Nigeria to check this country or to affect the change we want to see, and also, even though living in London, a lot of the things I did see were like wow, like to an extent, like Nigeria is great, like the UK is great as well, though, but like Nigeria is great.”

She highlighted the systems that exist in Nigeria and how they can be uplifted and utilised for growth compared to other countries.

“I just feel like with the infrastructure and with the working system that they do have there, if Nigeria can, to an extent, uplift certain things here, lots of people would not want to leave because it’s not as easy as people think.

“People just feel, you know, when I get to the UK, greener pastures. If you have a working business or you have a working job, you have a car, you have your house, it doesn’t make sense for you to sell those properties and say, you know what, I want to go abroad, whether it’s South Africa, whether it’s London, whether it’s Dubai.” she said.

She further advised that the reality of ‘greener pastures’ abroad was below expectation.

“It’s not greener outside Nigeria athanwe all think it is. Even when you get in there, you still have to walk, like walk to the level you want yourself to be in. So if you’re comfortable here in Nigeria, traveling or like japa really shouldn’t be an option for you because you get lonelier, like there are less friends, lots of people, it’s busy. I love Lagos, Nigeria.” she added.

Tacha urges women to stay single until marriage

Media personality Tacha has advised unmarried women not to tie themselves down in relationships until they are married.

Speaking on the Outside The Box podcast, Tacha said being in multiple relationships should not be considered an issue as long as a woman is not yet married.

She urged women to keep their options open rather than commit too early, noting that societal pressure often pushes them into rushing relationships.

According to her, the focus should be on finding the right partner rather than limiting oneself to just one person before marriage.

Tacha added that she would personally deny being in a relationship if asked, as long as she is not married, in order to maintain her freedom and choices.

“Every girl should be single till they’re actually married, do you understand? It doesn’t mean if you’re in a relationship or two or three. The thing with guys is it’s easier for guys to meet a girl and be like in two weeks we have to get married. But a girl can’t meet a guy and say in two weeks we have to get married. Do you understand what I’m trying to say?

“So, at the end of the day, it doesn’t make sense for you to be with a guy and tie yourself down and let’s say you’re meeting up with other people and you’re telling them I’m in a relationship and can’t date you. Don’t let your boyfriend stop you from meeting your husband. Even if I was in a relationship I would still say I’m single until I’m married,” she said.

Former Big Brother Naija Season 4 housemate Natacha Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has said she believes she would have emerged winner of the show if she hadn’t been disqualified.

Speaking on the Hot Takes podcast, Tacha attributed her confidence to surviving multiple eviction nominations.

She revealed that she faced eviction 11 times and returned each time, which she said proved she had a strong support base outside the house.

“I knew I was going to win. The fact that the other housemates were always putting me up for eviction… In the history of Big Brother Naija, no housemate has stood for eviction as much as I have stood up for. I was up for eleven possible evictions.
